I was referred to Dr Lucas for tummy tuck in 2020 at which time he started a new surgery procedure…read more Surgery didn't go well, and I was left with a wound about a quarter size and deep which had to be packed twice a day. He discussed doing a revision in his office, but I wasn't comfortable with that. With Covid, moving into a house, retiring and moving to another State it was Mar 2025 when I could get a revision by Dr Lucas. I drove back to TN, lined up hotel, and did everything I was told to do. The night before surgery he called me about needing an iron infusion due to my B-Cell Leukemia. I listened to him, and I straight out asked him, "You are the expert, so should I be getting this revision?" If he had said, "NO" I would have packed up and driven back to lower AL. He didn't say "NO", but wanted me to check with Oncologist which I did the next morning before surgery. My blood number count were within range; therefore, I couldn't get an infusion because insurance would not pay. Oncologist nurse said, "There was no issue with me getting the surgery done". Long story short, surgery was done and I've never felt so mutilated, ugly, with zero confidence like I do now. I've gone back and forth with his office and have been refused a refund for the revision and hotel stay. I was told in person and by email that a third surgery can be done in office to correct the surgery scarring. I have been sick to my stomach and should not had went back a second time, but I trusted him that everything would be good after revision. I was not going back for a third attempt. I got a second opinion in AL, and the surgeon said, "He would not had done the revision in the manner that Dr Lucas did, because the skin was already very thin". I will say, that he has a very good staff, but his skills as far as my surgery type is lacking. I paid a lot of money for both surgeries, and my request for a refund for the revision was denied! I will figure out where to go from here to get my refund. I have photos if you're interested.

i have had 2 breasts surgeries done, they both were awesome…read more and now i need a lift so i want info on the surgery thank you debbie mcswain,,

Worst Experience Ever!! Very unprofessional and will not except accountability for anything. All…read morehis reviews are the same, disappointed patients and him discharging them when he's confronted. I paid over $8000 for implants that he encouraged me to get when I just came there for a lift because I was already a "D" size. The outcome looked horrible he did agree it needed to be revised, charged me another $2000 to do it then it was worse than the other. The lift was not done correctly, the implants were huge and I got an infection. I came back after getting 2nd opinions from 5 diff surgeons that told me he should deff want to fix the mess he made that the issues would get worse and it had to be redone. Of course he take offense and after acknowledges a revision is needed, tells me he is not happy with my complaint and is discharging me from the practice. Now several years later, I come in under a diff last name, he sees me and says I deff have a problem needing corrected and he would do it for $4000. I then tell him he done the initial surgery and he is responsible! He has his rude and unprofessional helper, Judy, find my old chart and then he tells me he will not see me again that he didn't realize who I was. Most surgeons I went to stated he is not board certified and they have corrected a lot of his work. By the reviews it is confirmed what type of person he is. Such a shame, patients waste their money and put their body in the hands of someone that will for sure take the money but will hold no accountability and discharge you if he feels insulted when confronted with his poor work. He has a history of this and if everyone he has done this to would report his bedside manner and work to the board, maybe others could be spared.
