Roy was on his way back from a previous job farther south and happened to also stop by the Peg House. After talking with him he graciously decided to tow my car back to Eureka. I'll give them 2 stars since I know some of the workers other then that it's shit! I waited with my family of 5 for almost 5 hours almost 3 hours after they told me it would be here and I'm totally understanding but after 5 hours of waiting they cancelled my tow!!! It's almost 12am at night I have my almost 1 year old and 2 other kids plus my husband all waiting on this tow to now have it cancelled because they can't find their driver!! And the person answering the phone couldn't even get ahold of the driver!!! WOW we had to stay till after 12 for himboldt towing that came within 30 mins! Wow just bullshit! read more

I got a flat tire on hwy 36 and Clyde's was there so quickly! I didn't realize I didn't actually have the hitch connection made for my car that they would need, but the tech found a solution and was able to load the car up! He was friendly, courteous, beyond helpful, and solution oriented. He was happy to drive me safely to Costco and at an affordable rate too. I am calling Clyde's next time for sure!!! thank you for allowing me to get sons car out after hours. the young man that assisted me was kind and explained all the fees an straightened out the date discrepancies. i appreciated his patience. never had a car towed b4 so wasnt to stressful. i did speak with someone on the phone earlier a mr calvin dalton who was unpleasant to say the least. i explained im a senior here an i wasnt being smart mouth asking about a gate key fee. But he said to me "Your Rude and lady tears dont work on me!" after that i stayed silent. so glad to have a kind young man explain things to me i would recommend clydes towing to anyone. read more

I can't say enough good things about Clyde's towing!!! Our radiator blew north of Laytonville the other night and AAA put us in touch with a tow company out of Garberville, but they said they couldn't help us until the next day! My husband and I were driving over the 36 when our brakes went ka-poot. Thankfully we have road side service and broke down where we had a signal. I'm not sure if our driver was Clyde, but the gentleman who showed up was beyond hospitable and gave us great service. He drove us 25 miles or so into Fortuna and took us to a shop to drop our car off. He went one step further instead of leaving us in a strange town not knowing where anything was dropped us off at a motel (we got into town around 9 or 10 something, it was cold and dark). He was really funny which put me at ease after the stress of everything going on with our car while on a road trip. I've never had such awesome service. Hopefully I don't need his services again but recommend Clyde's Towing 100%. read more

Josh rescued us from the roadside of 101 So. We'd had a great weekend, but we were ready to go home when the car "died," 15 miles into our trip back to the bay area. He was able to recommend a mechanic in town, (who was open on a Sunday! and it saved us extra charges on our towing allotment) and he dropped the car and us off after helping us find a nice hotel at a good price where we could cope. We had to spend the night while waiting for our repairs, but he was a huge help. I can't say how nice it is to be in need, and find a nice guy working for a good company! Grateful! read more

My truck got two flats while deep in the Kings mountain range, 2 hours from civilization. Clydes towing was friendly and helpful and agreed to come get us. After 45 minutes, I was able to get a ride to get help so I no longer needed the tow. I called Clydes expecting to be charged something since I cancelled 45 minutes after ordering the tow truck. They were again super friendly and cancelled the tow without any problem. I was impressed with their customer service. I highly recommend Clydes towing. read more

The dispatcher Holly was very rude cut me off multiple times had me wait over three hours when she said a half an hour so I was stuck in the rain cold and wet. I ended up getting sick due to it. She should be fired. The driver was courteous yet he took his time so I would be over charged. They were the only people that were able to help so they took full advantage of my situation. I wish Humboldt tow was able to help instead. I would go to any where else if you need towing needs unless you want to do business with scam artist read more
