My dentist in LA wanted to charge for a crown and work I didn't need. Her practice has state of the art equipment including the newest handheld X-ray equipment so they don't have to jam plastic inserts into your mouth. They have outstanding imaging software so you can see everything in high definition color. If you are thinking about driving to Mexico to get dental work done, just do it. The doctors in the US are most likely ripping you off and doing work you don't need. Dr. Olivas does too quality work and is honest. Well worth the drive.

It was taken care of that day with meticulous care. I know the dentist has a very high-level of attention to detail, which I really appreciated. Wasted my time, money and gas to make these trips Do I have confident to drive down and make them re-do the broken crown? Do I trust them to do a 3 teeth bridge for me? I guess I'll be staying locally and get the dental bridge done. I don't know what happened to the excellent work from this office but it seems the ladies that worked there are no longer there plus Dr Elias is no longer there. The professional team of doctors and staff at BC Dental are outstanding in every way. They have English speakers in the office. They are all very caring and friendly. I've used them now going on 20 years. Extractions, fillings, crowns, braces for my kids, and even cleanings. All done with gentle care. Seriously though, the least painfull cleanings of my life. There is parking at the corner mini-mall for 5$ no time limit, a dirt parking lot on the side street, or parking meters if you are comfortable. WARNING Don't even think about illegal parking as the meter guys come around often. Uber now offer English speaking drivers if you prefer. Super easy to walk across the border and uber here and back.

It was a super easy walk across the border. Their taxi picked us up and dropped us off. Had a really nice coffee at a charming coffee shop next-door. They quoted me $2,000, which just didn't seem right. I wasn't in that much pain and that seems like a lot of money. They did provide photos of the damaged tooth, though, showing that the work needed to be done. But I didn't want to pay that much. So, I did some research on tiktok and found Washington Dental. Reached out to them via email and they setup a nice appointment for a Saturday. Crossing the border is easy and if you tell the people at the border crossing you're going to Washington Dental, they'll give you a lift for free and WD will pay. (but, just be sure to confirm this first with your driver). Checked in, and waited five minutes and then they called me in. The whole process took maybe 45 minutes each visit (it takes a total of two to do it), and here I am, 2 months later with a few extra bucks in my pocket and a new crown!
