The Snow Onion was very fresh, and it actually bring out more flavor in the chicken. Stopped in for lunch and wasn't disappointed. First impression is that it's an unassuming family run restaurant. Not much invested in the decor, but that's OK! The restaurant was clean and organized. The wait staff was incredibly friendly. After being asked if I had ever been here before (I hadn't) she thoroughly explained the concept, menu options, flavor profiles, and chicken piece choices (including 86'd items that they were waiting to receive from the vendor, no problem). I had originally intended to get a lunch special, but since snow chicken is their specialty, I decided to try that first. I chose the "half whole" because, as explained, it contains all of the options: chunks, wings, and legs. I was presented with a MOUNTAIN of white-sauced, onion-slivered, piping hot, crispy chicken. And when I say crispy, I mean CRISPY! Normally, sauce-covered fried food becomes soggy, but this is Korean fried chicken! The frying method produces a medium breading that is crispy and enrobes juicy and well cooked chicken pieces. The chicken breading itself is bland, however this may be by design as the sauce choices are plentiful. The snow sauce is sweet and combined with the thin, mild white onion slices provided a delectable balance of sweet and savory with a perfect compliment of texture to the crunchy chicken. Every piece was a delight, I couldn't believe I was finishing it! By the way, there are gloves on the table for guilt-free finger food indulgence. Use them!! Overall, this place is a welcome replacement for the China Pearl, which we really missed. Prices are not completely out of line, but you'll not be eating here every night. However, I will bet you'll be back craving that saucy crunch! I know we will. And next time, I'm gonna try the spicier selections. read more

Their fried chicken is wonderful. Great batter, fried perfectly and the sauces are delicious! We like the soy based and curry sauces especially. Their hot sauce is very good but it is hot. We get the coleslaw and the shrimp tempura with our meals and both are really good. Service is very nice and helpful. We recommend this restaurant strongly. read more

We were completely new to the whole Korean Chicken, but positive reviews encouraged us to try it. WOW I do NOT know how they do it, but this stuff is great! The servers were so helpful in explaining it to us, and we enjoyed it all. It even makes great leftovers (generous portions). If you like chicken nuggets, you'll like CM Chicken better. If I could give this place 6 start I would. They sell beer towers and that would normally be a good enough reason to visit BUT the chicken is even better. My nephew and I wanted to try this restaurant especially since all of reviews recommend it highly. The reviews did not disappoint. We were promptly greeted. The server was excellent and explained the menu thoroughly. I chose the regular half chicken and my nephew chose the spicy soy. Folks the fried chicken is off the chain! A little kick but not overpowering and delicious with every bite. We ordered a shareable fry and it was plenty of food for the both of us. We tried the original half chicken (lovely, but definitely get a sauce if you like stronger flavors), and our friend got the spicy garlic soy drumsticks. We also liked the curry sauce we got with the popcorn shrimp and the garlic soy glaze on our friend's fried gizzards (I did not find the gizzard texture to be pleasing, but that's just me not having been raised with them--they seemed perfectly prepared). This place is amazing!!! I haven't seen any other places that sell Korean fried chicken. But so far this is the best Korean fried chicken in the Knoxville area. The food always turns out great for me. I have been here multiple times and not once has my food ever been incorrect or dissatisfying. The fries were hot with the perfect amount of salt. The rice was obviously made perfect, it was hot and fluffy. The chicken tenders were absolutely to die for. They were crispy, hot, and were covered in that sweet and savory garlic soy sauce. Not only was the food really good, but the service was awesome! The servers are very welcoming, and they make sure to check on you and fill up your drinks. The environment is very quiet, they do have videos and Kpop playing; however, they are not loud and allow you to be able to talk with anyone who you come with. I went to CM Chicken skeptical that it would be authentic. I was pleasantly surprised! The chicken was the incredible...totally authentic and delicious. I got the Garlic Soy version which is sweet with a little kick. My wife got the plain and it was also delicious! We cleaned out our leftover box that night! Tried CM Chicken after hearing lots of good things about it and wow it was great! The menu is fairly simple, but has a good variety of options. Our party each ordered chicken tenders in a different sauce so we could all try a little of each. The garlic soy was the table favorite, very good flavor and a little spicy kick. The red pepper was very spicy according to my husband but had good flavor. We also all shared a side of curly fries which were really good. Super crispy with awesome flavor! The service was good too, the staff even boxed our leftovers for us. The only con was price, it was around $90 for one side, 4 drinks, and 4 meals, but the quality and service were more than worth it! read more

Wow! What an experience. If you have never tried Korean fried chicken, which I had not, please give this place a try. I will warn you of 2 things before I shower this place with compliments. 1. The hot is really hot, the mild is hot. 2. It is very filling ( I barely was able to eat 10 wings and half of my fries. So here is the skinny on this joint. DELICIOUS fried breaded chicken. You can order whole chicken, half chicken or drumsticks or wings. I ordered the wings (10) with spicy garlic sauce and order of fries at the suggestion of the server. It was very good yet very hot. At $25 it wasn't the cheapest but was definitely the best breaded wings I have had. The sides are plentiful as well with slaw, fries, etc. The oddest but convenient aspect about this place is they offer gloves at every table so you can enjoy without having to be hosed down on the way out the door.
