I have been craving Korean fried chicken for ages, so I was happy to see CM Chicken. They know their lane and stick with it - chicken and pretty much only chicken, with a few sides and appetizers. I really enjoyed the flavor of the garlic spicy chicken, and the bites I had of the garlic soy and the curry chicken had good flavor as well. I look forward to trying the chicken with spring onion or snow onion on top. There's only about 4 flavors, but if you do them well I'm a happy camper. I don't know what CM stands for, but I'll say "Craving More Chicken"!

Fantastic. Great taste, excellent flavor, with a little spicy punch. What fried chicken is supposed to taste like. Order was hot, fresh, crispy - so crispy, with a great crunch, not over salty like a lot of places. Hot and Fresh. Great portion size. 5 stars.

A pretty solid spot for Korean fried chicken! The soju flavors are really great and curly fries were good! The staff was really nice and had good apps as well!

I was craving spicy wings and I got it! I ordered the Lunch Special that came with 5 wings, rice, and slaw. I had to order the Shrimp Tempura too. Everything was soooo delicious! I could've ate it all, but tried to save some for later. The restaurant is a casual dining experience with fast service. If you order the bigger portions of chicken, then it'll take a little longer (a guy that ordered before me was asking why I received my food first...ooopppss). I ordered the Spicy Garlic Sauce. It was definitely spicy, but I didn't taste much garlic. I love garlic and want to be able to scare vampires away with my breath! Each table has gloves at the table to use while eating the messy chicken. I tried it and enjoyed not having to use 484839 napkins to clean my hands.

Found this spot on a whim and I'm so happy I did! Knoxville doesn't have lots of diversity in terms of quality Asian cuisine. This spot does a great job of bridging the gap- it offers a menu that's familiar for any newcomer and offers foods maybe not as familiar to people. There's fried gizzards (yum) and "snow onion" which piles a mound of thinly shaved onion and a sauce on top of hot crispy wings, different from anything I've seen before! The food itself was great. If you're a mild spicy person--this might be spicy for you. I've got a pretty high spice tolerance and this has a great spice level that leaves your lips tingling. Always order a side of pickled radish to cut the spice and oiliness of fried chicken. Everything was served piping hot and the prices are super reasonable for the portion sizes! Will be back again soon!

Wow, I love that Knoxville now has Korean Fried Chicken -- and not just any Korean Fried Chicken but Choong Man Chicken, aka CM Chicken ... they were smart to pick an easier-to-remember and easier-to-spell name :) From my understanding, they opened a couple months ago - they're in the same shopping center as Kroger. Our family favorite is Curry and Garlic Spicy. They serve wings or tenders - or half or whole chickens. And you do get complimentary pickled white radish which complements the fried chicken well. I love their white radish b/c they're also slightly sweet. CURRY TENDERS - $13.99 The curry is not like Indian curry at all - the curry is actually very subtle. It's more like sweet w/ a kick of spicy. I personally like the tenders b/c it's less messy to eat ... but when it arrives, it deceivingly looks very small esp. when compared to the wings ... just remember you're getting all meat (vs bones). The chicken usu. arrives hot but our tenders were actually lukewarm at best ... fortunately our other chicken dishes arrived hot :) GARLIC SPICY WINGS - $14.99 The wings are $1 more - most people like wings better b/c the meat is tastier. The restaurant does provide disposable gloves so you don't have to mess with having to lick your fingers to enjoy every bite of the delicious sweet & spicy sauce :) Garlic spicy is more like mild spicy here - I do think they could kick it up a notch. Otherwise delicious flavor and the outside was super crunchy. SOY GARLIC TENDERS - $9.99 lunch special The lunch special comes with chicken wings or tenders, fries or rice, and cole slaw. This is a great deal - we tried the soy garlic. Pretty good but still bigger fans of the curry & spicy garlic flavors. Fries & cole slaw are good. Our server Gabby was super nice and attentive. Pretty good lunch crowd. Two TV's playing - one side was playing a cooking show, the other side was a female K-pop group. Other food recommendations - soy garlic gizzards, snow onion chicken. Lunch specials are available Mon-Fri, 11:30-2pm. Dine-in only.

Great food and wonderful service. The chicken was so crispy and flavorful. Soju selection was great, we had strawberry and it was delicious. I had the garlic soy tenders and they were deliciousOnion rings were crispy. Everything was great.

I really wanted to like this spot, but alas, it did not deliver. I will preface by saying that I have had Korean fried chicken in Korea and in California and so I was excited to find a chicken spot here. I placed a pickup order via the phone, and it was seamless. I ordered the drumstick garlic soy instead of the drumstick garlic spicy that my heart was leaning towards, and I ordered curly fries since a reviewer mentioned that they were good. Well, they were both inedible. I hate too much breading on my chicken because of the texture and mouthful. The huge drumsticks and the excessive breading made it difficult to bite. It was soggy and not crunchy. I felt like I was just eating mouthfuls of breading rather than chicken. SMH. The curly fries were a sad excuse for fries. How can fries be so dry and cold? It felt like I was served a week-old fries. To worsen matters, I had to buy radish, which had an off taste. I know what that kind of white daikon radish should taste like, so I was disappointed by its taste. Overall, it was an expensive, for no good reason, visit that I will not repeat.

I like stopping here whenever I am in the area when I need a quick fried chicken fix. I always get seated promptly and their dining area is always clean. They even have disposable gloves at the table so you won't dirty your hands. Their sauces are tasty, and their lunch portions are just the perfect amount of food. I love the way they fry it all - light and crispy. I just wish they had more veggie-type options included with their dishes.

Spectacular food, the chicken is fresh, perfectly cooked and tossed in a generous amount of sauce. Our server David was quick and nice, which is impressive since he seems to be working the floor alone. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. The food is cheap for a sit down restaurant (about $20 per person for an entree and a side!) i could definitely see myself becoming a regular at this restaurant 5 stars

CM Chicken has the best Korean menu with so many amazing items on the menu to choose from. Great food and outstanding friendly service, with free Wi-Fi. The entire restaurant and the ladies powder room was beyond clean.
