The Kid said Mom cashed in the coins, went to Turkey, got her teeth fixed up really nicely, etc. So much for taking care of a future... Sottsdale Bullion and Coin is a hard asset secialist. You buy from them, they promise a buyback. 10% below spot on silver. 20% below on the highest graded numismatic pre-1933 coins. For me they are a local place to swap coin for cash/cash for coin. They know the procedures for the precious metals percentage good for a retirement portfolio. They will also take a family precious metals accumulation, cashing it out. My first visit I was told about a bag full of silver dimes a child brought in from a family estate and was paid $18,000. This trip it was about Montana hotel owners converting $100k chunks of profit into hard asset retirement fund. I am a simple guy. I bought a silver dollar in 1964, set it into the lid of a precision engineering instrument box, giving it to Dad for Father's Day. In 1973 I bought a few silver $. 1981, a gold coin, I have purchased a bit of metals and coin when I could breathe. I heard of someone in Phoenix with cases of silver eagles stacked in their hideaway. I am not that guy. But I am comfortable knowing if I trade in or purchase here, I can drive 15 miles and trade back. If I want to put some of my retirement fund into precious metals, that can be done here.

(I'm 3.5 hours north of the Exchange in Oklahoma City.) So many people get frustrated when their bullion orders don't come in quickly, but they fail to recognize that a) there can be glitches in any delivery system, and that b) most precious metals are shipped with signature confirmation required upon delivery. (A consumer has to be both diligent and patient when purchasing precious metals to be delivered on site.) I myself don't care for numismatics, but know many "coin people" in Dallas who patronize the Exchange for collectible coins and other currency. All I've spoken to have had great things to say about their dealings. Their bullion prices are comparable to nearby "big boy" JM Bullion, and the service I've received from the Exchange was equally warm and friendly. (That's always a huge bonus.) Very professional.
