Love that this is a queer space, especially in this specific neighborhood where there isn't a very robust LGBT presence. I think that's important for representation, etc etc. However... one of the bartenders that I interacted with the one time I was here was verrrrry dismissive and condescending and had a general air of unapproachability. And of my friends, I'm apparently not the only one who thinks so. So that's not great. But the drinks were also pretty expensive for the size. $6-7 for a can of something! Also not great. What I did enjoy was the performance space in the back. I was here to support a friend of mine that is a musical artist. It was a sold out show, but the space still didn't feel crowded. Overall, I give it 4 stars as an entertainment venue, and 2 stars as a bar, averaging out to a very average 3 stars. read more

Unfortunately worst experience. I also wrote a review on Google and had a very inappropriate and misinformed response. It seemed very retaliatory. There was no one at the door when we arrived in which case we ordered drinks from a very rude and unhelpful bartender. Let this be know that I am also a service industry person so I understand what it's like to be busy. Went into dance, was then confronted by someone that was very rude and very inappropriate regarding a "stamp" and not giving clear information about paying a door fee which my group was very happy to pay. No one in my group smokes (at all/anything) so we were also targeted for smoking which was inaccurate. About the door fee- we were given no information and when we tried to do so (pay a door cost after an hour of dancing) that was also completely disregarded. No micro-aggression on my part just a hope that management notices the problem here. I have lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years. I am LGBTQ. I want to support the businesses as such but do not appreciate disrespect & lack of care towards fellow humans on many levels. read more

I, to be honest, was really (pleasantly) surprised by my experience here. I really thought I'd get ridiculously over-priced drinks with no liquor and terrible music. Now, don't get me wrong, maybe the drinks could have been cheaper, but I know I'm in New York so I know what to expect. The bar itself was really fun. It had a small bar to sit at which I did while I waited for some friends and had some friendly bartenders. They also had a coat check if you need to use that In the back is the smallish dance area and off to the side is an area with more seating and standing options. Love love love that this is a queer POC space, but at the same time, there are some smaller things that are annoying every time I come. My first experience with C'Mon Everybody was for a Lady Gaga Chromatica party which was amazingggg, but it was a sweat lodge in the back room. The well drinks are fine, but it's a bit odd to me that this dive bar tries to do craft cocktails at a craft cocktail price...without the craft cocktail quality. Since the first instance, I've come to watch drag race, which is a popular event. However, every time I come, the projector has issues and it either closes down, has audio issues. Every. Single. Time. The clientele though, are usually a hit, with a few standout misses who ruin the whole thing for everyone else. When the projector shut down the last time, the person in front of me streamed the episode on his phone for the rest of us -- not all heroes wear capes! But unfortunately, you still have some white gheys who take up space in the worst way possible. During the latest episode viewing party, two came late and were standing in front of everyone at the tables and were having a full conversation during the conversation and made no attempts to get out of the way of everyone else's vision. The party in front of me (also white) kindly asked them to be mindful of where they were standing, and the talkers gave the dirtiest look before heading to the back and mumbling shady comments under their breath. The sense of entitlement from some of the guests to C'mon Everybody is kind of disgusting especially considering the community the bar seeks to serve. read more

Started going to C'Mon Everybody for the drag race viewing parties this summer hosted by drag race girls like Scarlet Envy and Jiggly Caliente. Local drag host Essa Noche is always entertaining and puts on a good show. Drinks are delicious! Also nice to see queer people working in queer spaces. Haven't been yet to just hang, but it's in the neighborhood so I would love to come back on a casual night. Seems like they always have events going on which is cool too. I've been here for many occasions and different seasons. Mostly for DJ parties. You come here to listen to a great house blend from an expert. I typically like the eclectic crowd. People vary in age and races. I especially like that it doesn't carry an uppity club vibe, it's more a do-what- you-feel-like-doing on the dance floor lounge. Let yourself go lounge. One of the few places not to feel self-conscious if you are a woman partying in town. Spacewise, I'll admit this place can be a challenge. The front alley where the bar is situated can get easily crowded. The inner dance space is dimly lit with cool lights and a disco ball and an awesome sound system. It can also easily feel as hot and muggy as a jungle and full of people. It really depends on the night. Restrooms have been alright. Despite its spacial shortcomings, c'mon carry a special place in my heart. I can always see myself coming back. read more

It is a great bar, sure. Nice friendly service with a chill, loungey vibe... but that's not why I keep coming. It's like the Tardis of music venues. The stage in the back is something else. It ends up feeling bigger because the lighting and the sound are at pro-league levels. Then there's the mini bar. If there was seating back there I'd never leave. But I'm glad there isn't. More space in which to dance! And whomever is booking the talent... you're going to bankrupt me with reasonably priced double gin & tonics and cheap tickets to double billed shows, because it's not like I can go every. single. week. It's insane. I go to see paris_monster and find 2 more bands that I have to follow like the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The music starts and I lose all free will. Ugh. My life is SO hard. My friend had a DJ, who was awesome. The service at the bar was good and I liked the beer. Based on the calendar of events they have on the wall, they do a lot of fun things here. Truly the most baffling experience I have had in decades of seeing shows, from hardcore matinees to arena gigs. Treatment from staff that was so rude and indifferent that it felt like we were being filmed for a prank show. Transportation problems meant we arrived late to see a friend play. We thought we'd be able to catch half the show maybe, but when we arrived the woman sitting at the door said "she's almost finished." When we said we still wanted to go in (the stage itself is behind a door through the bar), the woman said "I've already closed the till for the door, it's all counted up." We clarified that we would be happy to pay the cover, but the woman - extremely irritated in the face of *literally* nothing but a friendly standard transaction - said she would have to text an unnamed staff member to see if we would be allowed to enter. As our friend started to play the last few songs, we stood by the door (in quiet disbelief - we gave no attitude at all) while we waited. My companion asked if we could stand by the back to see the last of the show; we'd be happy to pay whenever. "No, not until I hear back." Then, *after nearly 20 minutes*, the last note of the show rang out and the door person said "OK, you can go in - that will be $26." After the show had ended. Again, it felt like a joke, or someone was just trying to ruin our night. The key to this complaint is that *we were willing to pay to go in when we got there* - we weren't trying to be sneaky or get something for nothing. The reason we couldn't go in was because she had "closed the till"! I have worked at venues before, and put on shows for all kinds of audiences. It is incredibly unprofessional to not have any sort of policy or system in place for possible latecomers - any space used for the arts will establish this. But it goes from unprofessional to rude when your front-of-house staff is obnoxious and rude for no reason at all. We ended up going next door to the taco place next door, Chilo's, where the staff were friendly and the drinks were good (and where nobody else had ever heard of a door policy like that, either). Venues come and go all the time - the iconic ones stick around because they're good to the people who come to see shows there. I hope someone in management reads this and has a think about figuring out a policy to deal with people who arrive late for whatever reason, and has a think about the attitudes of the people they have working for them. A huge, huge bummer. read more

Nice hangout to get your lounge or dance on. This place is a great mix of a dive bar, a lounge, and a concert hall. Plus, it is great because there is a variety of folks from all backgrounds who come here to indulge in libations. The beverages are reasonably priced, ranging $5-10. Plus, it has a nice selection of beers. I came for a Rich Medina night and I shook my booty well into wee hours of the early morning. This place reminds me a bit of the NYC scene back in 2005, without the cigarettes. My only complaint, which is a big one for me, is that the bartenders can be a little rude. My thing is if you don't like interacting or engaging with people, THEN DO NOT BECOME A BARTENDER OR WORK IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY!!! It's pretty simple. Although no rudeness has been directed towards me, I have seen it done to other customers for the smallest things. There is no need for eye rolling if a group of four does not have its drink order WHEN THE BAR ISN'T full. DRINKER BEWARE: Some of the bartenders here are extremely rude. I once remarked to my friend that cocktail prices seemed inflated. I decided to order the drink anyway and the bartender mocked me and told me I shouldn't bother because it was inflated. Another time I asked if any light beers were available. I was told this bar only serves flavorful beers and to try somewhere else. This is BedStuy - I'm not sure the bartenders realize they aren't working in Manhattan. Or that being downright nasty doesn't read as hipster cynicism. For a bar with signs posted that say "don't act like an asshole," they may want to revisit that mantra with their staff. read more

Whether you're looking for dancing, the coolest local band, or just a quiet drink at the bar, C'mon Everybody has it all. Personally I come here for a beer on the way home after work sometimes (with Happy Hour taking $2 off of beer, wine, and well drinks that are already a fair price) and I've always been comfortable sitting at the bar and just chatting with one of the friendly bartenders. With beers averaging around $8 a Happy Hour beer would be $6. I've always been self-conscious of going to a bar alone to grab a drink, even if it is just a beer, but I've always found myself relaxed and enjoying the atmosphere here. Again, the bartenders are so so friendly and they seem to know the people who stroll in through the door. Customer service is AMAZING to say the least. The owner, Eric, is super friendly as well and he's done a great job with the bar. If you're not like me and you want a louder and more vivacious atmosphere, you'll find it in the dance-y part of their venue. There's a room where local bands & DJs will come play and from what I hear, they attract all different kinds of crowds. Definitely have to check that out one of these days as well. Friends in the neighborhood and I have come here for specific performances on a few occasions (Mirah music video shoot at the end of 2016), and at other times we have stumbled in/stumbled into the back room and discovered something great (Afrikandy Day Party and Open Mic on Sundays). The performance space in this venue is lacking. I went for a stage show and nowhere during the ticket booking process was I alerted that seats were limited, meaning there are more tickets sold than there are seats. So my friend and I found out upon arrival that there was "standing room only." Lucky the guy on the deejay booth gave me permission to bring a chair from another area. I wanted to stay for the party at 11pm, but by 11:30 it hadn't started. This was on a Saturday night. The bartenders were very attentive, and the crowd was very diverse and somewhat mature. If I go to this venue again, it won't be for a show because the space is cramped. I'd be going to see what the deejays are like on weekends. read more

I've had a lot of fun here. I recently attending a Rich Medina party during which I danced all night, until 3 AM. So much fun! The crowd varies, but is generally petty diverse. It depends on the night. I've come for random parties, DJed by DJs unbeknownst to me, and also danced my behind off. The drinks are well-priced and solid. They also have music shows often. Was so excited to walk into this bar the other night and run into one of my all time favorite bartenders, Jamie the Mermaid!!! I didn't know where she ended up after leaving PP, but I'm psyched she is back at a bar 2 blocks from my house!!! Ive been here a few times before because they have an awesome music venue in the back. Which, if you live in Bed stuy you know is a thing we seriously lack. They've booked a wide variety of acts from singer/songwriter Akie Burmis to local rock bands like Grundle Thunder. Will totally be back! P.s. We were lured in by Whitney playing and then "let's hear it for the boys" after eating the delicious tacos next door. I'm really excited that a spot with a large dance floor opened in the area and the vibe is cool. There was a Pop-up vegetarian chef cooking at the bar the night we were there - felt like Brooklyn in the early 2000s. 4 instead of 5 stars because there was a private band playing in the room with the dance floor. It was supposed to end at 10 pm - but didn't. Sooooo we were unable to get our groove on after the work week. This is a place I decided on trying after a event I attended in the city had an event here with the same Disc Jockies. Since then I had visited for a few other events. The clientele and ambiance changes with every event, so like any other place, do your research before decided to visit or stay for another event. The majority of the time, I have encountered many cool, intelligent, fashionable and worldly men and women who don't mind stimulating conversation while on break from the dancing. At times, it can get crowded at the bar however thus far, I have not had to wait long to order a cocktail. The restrooms are clean and easy to find. Overall, I like it and would visit again. read more
