Bought a Groupon voucher for an interior only cleaning 2 months. Took several tries by phone and email before getting a response 2 weeks later to schedule an appointment. Prior scheduling the appointment the business owner demanded a litany of requirements that were not listed on the Groupon terms and agreements for the particular business. Told me I had to have an accessible hose hook-up and an electrical outlet. Said there would be an extra fee if there's any signs of pet hair and that there will an added fee if the travel exceeds 25 miles. I said you know what that's fine just book me. They booked me 2 weeks out which i found to be rather excessive but oh well i needed the service, and it was already paid for. On the day of the appointment, I received a text early morning stating they needed to reschedule me due to unforseen seen circumstances and the next available date would be ONE MONTH OUT. I tried pleading with them, to schedule me sooner as I use my car for businesses purposes. The person I was communicating with said they'll reach out to the owner and get back to me. THEY DID NOT get back to me and kept ignoring my messages until I finally reached out to Groupon and finally a week later they responded with a date even farther out. Now they're refusing to refund me . Despite the couple positive reviews here, I can assure you this is not a reputable business. read more

I wish I could leave negative stars as well. I bought a LivingSocial deal in July that expired in October. I called to schedule in August and was told November was the earliest I could get an appointment. I thought that was weird and convenient enough to go past the "promotional value" date. the person promised me that they would still accept the voucher for promotional value. I went on the day of my appointment at 8am as requested with a ride home waiting for me. I waited for over an hour and no one showed up and no one answered the phone. To make matters worse, LivingSocial refuses to refund my voucher because "the business is open" even though no one answers the phone, no one calls you back, and no one shows up to do the work. So now I am SOL and stuck paying for absolutely nothing. I think this will be another case where I will have to report this to the BBB although I'm sure LivingSocial has legal terms absolving them from any wrongdoing. read more

A great find and a fantastic job done! Recommended by a friend, K&C is very customer focused and professional. Due to scheduling issues, my SUV was squeezed in on a Saturday and the owner personally stayed late to properly finish my vehicle. He kept me informed throughout and was very sincere. The end results were so worth it - I've never see the MDX as clean since I bought it in 2009! And a small plastic bag was on my seat filled with miscellaneous stuff found during cleaning along with a than you note. Nicely done and worthy of a full recommendation. read more

DON'T GO HERE! Now here's why. Customer service. I am very particular about customer service. This "business" never picks up their phone and in my case their phone was not in service when I tried calling the day of my appointment. The beginning to a long rant and run on sentences. Brace yourself. I got a groupon for a detailing deal interior and exterior. I call in October to set an appointment, nobody answers okay so I leave a message. A week later no phone call is returned. I call again several times, finally reach someone and they tell me next avail is in Jan. I am really impatient but intake it. Come January they have to reschedule my appointment okay fine appt moved to feb. Come feb I wake up at dawn to go allll the way to walpole for an 8 friggin AM appointment. I get there and nobody's home. And their bootleg sign says they open at 830. Hello you told me my appt was at 8 but your business doesn't open until 8:30. Okay fine I'll wait until 8:30. 8:30 comes around nobody. Now i'm pretty pissed off because I didn't get enough sleep it's early and I'm hungry and I'm paying you to do a service and you aren't here. Like you're not doing me a favor I am paying to do this. You made a commitment to service my car when you booked the appointment and common courtesy you should follow through. Or pick up a phone and say hey you know what I'm sorry something came up and we can't work on your car today. But no they're unprofessional inconsiderate time wasters. Come 9am I was out. Embarrassingly enough, K&C never answered the phone or returned multiple phone calls to set up an appointment. Eventually, the recipient gave the LivingSocial certificate back because it seemed like they had "gone out of business." I called LivingSocial and was issued a refund... also alerted them to all the negative reviews and the likelihood that this place may be a scam. read more

After many phone calls and messages left, I finally got a call back from K&C. When I dropped off the car, I didn't have anything to put my keys in. Very awkward. While they were detailing my car, I received numerous text messages from, presumably, the girlfriend or wife. She claimed that I had "excessive" dog hair in my car and I know for a fact that I didn't. My car was pretty clean when I took it in. They insisted on charging me for "excessive" dog hair. Now a little bit of dog hair should not be an extra charge, but they argued with me. The lady was texting me all afternoon while I was at work! She sent photos of dog hair, showing why she should charge me more. I know my car, and I know how much dog hair was in my car -- you had to look for it! I was so annoyed by all the text messages and photos while trying to do my job at work. Then, she said that Cornelius will stop doing any more cleaning if I'm not going to pay for it. I never said I wasn't going to pay for it. I just disagreed, like any good customer would. So, I was threatened with unfinished detailing if I wasn't going to pay for the "excessive" dog hair. I was so angry, I paid the extra cost for the dog hair so that they would finish the job. However, I didn't feel that they deserved a tip with all the harassment I received and rude business practice, so I didn't tip them. These people have a lot to learn if they want to run a successful business. Then, they had the gall to send me a final "You're welcome!" text to me when they saw that I didn't tip them. I will NEVER use them again, and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. They won't be in business very long if they have this rude, unprofessional and unbusinesslike attitude. And, by the way, they did a lousy job on my car. I could see the wax streaks on my car and my windshield was quite smeared. I've had my cars detailed before, and I have never been treated so badly. I was very displeased with my auto detailing service at K&C in Walpole. I was instructed to drop the car off at 8am, but when I waited until 8:20 and they still hadn't arrived, I left my keys in the drop box. Around noon, I called to see what time my car would be available. The man that answered the phone simply answered with a rushed "hello?", not even identifying the business name or his name. I was told the car would not be ready until 5pm. The car was not finished until 5:20pm. When I went to pick up the car, they wanted to charge me another $30 for extra dog hair vacuuming without ever asking me if I wanted it done. When I went to pay for this unwanted service with my debit card, they told me they only accept cash. All I had on me was the $20 that I was going to give as a tip. The worker replied, "I'll take $20 for it then". Then when I left, 3 of my automatic windows would not go up or down. Days later, one of them still won't. I found the service men rude and feel taken advantage of. I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

I came across a deal on Amazon Local to get your car detailed at K&C. I called the number and the answering machine came on asking me to leave my name and number and they would get back to me within 24 hours. It said do not call them more than one time per day. So I waited and no call. I called again 2 days later and left another message. I didn't get a return call until about a week later. This was the 2nd week of July. I asked to make an appointment and he said he didn't have an opening until the end of August. I said I had a convertible and wanted to get it cleaned to sell it before the end of summer so he fit me in at the end of July and said he could have it done by 2 so I could get to work on time. I work nights so had to wake up early and I brought my car and waited a while when one of the neighboring business employees told me he doesn't usually get in at 8. So I left my car and dropped my key in the drop box and walked home. I received a phone call around 1 saying he just got in at 12 and found out his employee, who was supposed to come in, never showed and never called so the car would be late. I needed it for work so he said I could come in the following Friday (today). I asked him about buffing up some scratches and he said it would be $20 per panel extra. So I walked back and got my car. He was there working while this woman, presumably his wife or gf, sat in her lawn chair watching him. They gave me back my coupon with the date and time of the new appointment. This morning I woke up early (again), brought my car and dropped the key in the dropbox and walked home. He had said he could have it done by 2, including the buffing, so I could get to work on time so my son drove me over and there is my car sitting exactly where I left it in exactly the same condition as I had left it in. No one was in sight, no note, no call, no nothing. So here I am with my key in the drop box and no way to get to work. Luckily I have skinny arms so I was able to reach in the opening and get my key out. There was another woman who dropped her car off this morning, too, and hers was sitting there untouched so I'm sure she ran into the same problem. They have been totally unprofessional from his wife's rude message on the answering machine and empty promise of a return call within 24 hours to the 2 no show appointments. Very disappointed with them. Made an 8 am appointment on a Monday. Arrived at shop at 8 am and no one was there. Saw other people waiting. Everyone was confused why the shop wasn't open. After 20 minutes, someone decided to call them and they said to drop keys in drop box. I had to wait because it was my first time and I wanted to ask them specific questions. 8:30 roles around and still no one. I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. I showed up that morning with the person who was giving me a ride but no one ever arrived. I called living social and they reached out to the owner who called me to reschedule. I figured that I would try once more since I was looking forward to having my car cleaned. It's unfortunate the rating system doesn't allow 0 or negative stars, as that would be my rating. Where do I begin with my disappointment and displeasure with this company. To begin with, despite dropping my car off the night before my appointment, they still couldn't complete my "detailing", and I use that term loosely, until 8:30pm the next day, despite being told it would be completed @5pm. 2 trips there, only to be told it wasn't ready. "they had a lot of cars that day, we're working short staffed, hadn't eaten all day" Really?? When I did finally pick up my car and was able to take a good look at it in my garage, and out of the darkness, I could barrly believe what I saw. The outside of the car was covered in wax, the rear view mirrors and windshield were filthy, I could go on and on. 2 days later, I called and left a message to speak with the manager. He returned my call the next day, and I informed him I was calling to voice my displeasure with the "detailing" on my car. After explaining the details, his response was "ok". That's it, no apology, explanations, just an "ok" I have never written a negative review of a business...but by the length of this one, it is clear I feel strongly that this is a "business" that people should avoid!! read more

I had no problem scheduling my appointment. I told them I had an amazon voucher that expired at the end of April and they were able to fit me in the following week. I dropped my car off the night before and it was done by early afternoon the next day. Overall, my car looks great! Not the most amazing detail job but for the voucher price, definitely worth it. Yesterday morning I went by to make sure I knew where the place was and noticed three people standing outside the door. They were there for service (one for 2 hours) and no one was available. I wanted to write a review to address some of the negative reviews on this site. The people that work here really hustle and work very hard, so I wasn't surprised that there is not constantly someone answering phones. I used a living social coupon and called to schedule an appointment and had no issues. I had to wait about a month for a Saturday appointment but when I called the day before to confirm the appointment, I received a prompt call back confirming. I dropped off my car at about 8:45 and when I picked it up my car around 2:45, it looked amazing. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I am one week from having a baby and I realized that the inside of my car was a pile of dust, sand and dirt leftover from winter. With this huge belly, it's hard for me to maneuver inside my car, let alone try to shampoo the filthy floor mats. I called K&C yesterday to see if they might be able to help me out with a mini-interior detail. From the website, I know they specialize in ultra-thorough detailing but I just wanted a light once-over to get rid of the crud and dust. The owner, Cornelius, squeezed me in for the very next day at an unbelievable price. I brought my car to his bay this morning at our agreed upon time and he got to work right away. An hour later, the inside of my car was clean and sparkling and smelling fresh. I actually gave him five bucks extra because I thought the price he quoted wasn't high enough for an hour of his time. I am so grateful that my car is clean for the new baby and that I wasn't the one who had to squeeze in there to do it. K&C has my highest recommendation. I will definitely be using them again, even when I'm not this pregnant! read more

One star rating though I haven't experienced problems similar to those who have already reviewed. I bought a Living Social coupon; the business is about .7 mile from where I work part-time, so I thought, "What luck!" Instead, it was "what bad luck." I had no problem with telephone-answering, scheduling, etc. When I brought in the car, it was an exceptionally hot day, so I asked the owner if he could drop me off at my work. With hesitation and reservation, he agreed. I picked up the car, and it looked beautiful; I had paid extra to have the inside done (he claims that the voucher was for "express detailing," but nowhere did it say that). In any case, after the first rain storm a few days later - and since then, my car has spots on the windows and on the car. I have tried everything possible to get them off - nada. Spots not only remain, but they have also begun to etch the glass. I am at my wits' end. You think that I should contact the business owner, right? After he grudgingly took me to my workplace (I walked back in the heat), and defensively said that the voucher was for express detailing - outside only, I have the distinct feeling - supported by most of the other reviews here - that this guy is just not into customer service. This story is so horrid to me that I have taken the car somewhere to see if they can do something with it (or does the product just have to "wear off" during the winter?). I am reluctant to contact him and listen to any defensive rhetoric. The moral of the story? DON'T GO THERE. read more

I'm not sure why so many people had problems with them or using their coupon. I got a deal from Living Social for a complete detail. I was nervous about all the reviews but had no problem whatsoever. I called and left a message to make my appointment. The owner (I assume) called me back that night to schedule. He even called the night before to remind me of the appointment. I dropped off my sons car the night before the appointment. I called them at 4:55 pm on the day of the appointment to check the status of the car. I left a message and he called me back within 15 minutes to say the car would be ready in about 30 minutes. I arrived about 45 minutes later and the car was ready and waiting. He did an absolutely fantastic job. Every area of the car was perfect. The car is very old and the outside looked amazing. There was not a speck of dirt on the inside of the car. I would recommend this to place to anyone and are in fact going to use them again for another car next week. The owner was very nice when we picked up the car and I really couldn't ask for anything better. read more
