Can't say anything about quality of the movie itself, because at the beginning of the movie manager called sara morales tamindick came to our seats and started yelling on us as crazy that we brought drinks and popcorn with us. These are some of her "brilliant" statements - "this is vip cinema, are you stupid to bring your own food", "you can't bring your own drinks to our cinema, because it's not a cinema, but restaurant", "i don't care that you bought tickets, paid for the parking and that nowhere stated that you can't bring your own food, just gtfo". When we decided to leave we asked about refund and she lied to us that she can't do it and we have to do it online. When i tried to get a refund online, system told me that I can't get a refund after the movie had started. I don't know if it's just this manager or whole establishment like that but it's definitely not a vip experience. My go to movie theater because of proximity + tuesdays, wednesdays (ifykyk) buuuut extremely over priced and the service is bad bad.

First time coming to this movie theater. I hear good reviews so came to try out. The look of the movie theater was very modern and chic. I loved my drinks from the bartender Shady she was very good. Very attentive and pleasant and knew what drinks to reccomend. When we entered in to watch the movie we ordered the homemade guacamole which was decent. The truffle fried were good and the lomo saltado the beef was tender the coconut jasmine rice had a nice flavor. I liked the fact that the chairs really go all the way back and goes up right aswell. They also have a night light at the side which was nice to have to see your food.Service was good but keep in mind that when you order the gratuity is added automatically 18.5%. Nice for dates and a girls night out. Went early in the afternoon so not much people but the movie theater was full. I suggest you purchase the ticket before you go. All in all this is a great place to come great for shopping has tons of stores and restaurants. read more

Honestly, this whole experience at CMX Cinemas in Brickell City Centre was a letdown. Don't let the $26 ticket fool you. You can get a much better and friendlier experience at at Regal VIP at South Beach or CineBistro at Dolphin Mall. I booked at 3:30pm showing to avoid crowds. I skipped lunch to have lunch at the theatre (since it's dine-in) but the attendant failed to show up. It was 3:27 when I was fed up with waiting. I went to the bar to notify them and mention the free popcorn that had been raved about with the ticket prices. Guess what, no popcorn. Note: Free popcorn is NO longer included with your ticket, but you get a blanket. Anyway, the attendant finally showed up to take my order right as the movie was about to begin without apologizing. I get that 3:30pm isn't a prime time for people to be at the movies, but with just a handful of guests the service should be a 10. Overall, this experience is a miss and I will not be coming back. I watched darkest hour earlier today around 3pm. The venue is stunning, the bar lounge area reminds me of the flagship vip lounge at the American Airlines arena. First of all I'm used to regular amc theaters so when I paid $26 a ticket i was in utter shock.. I couldn't believe it. But it all made sense. When I got to the theater I was blown away. Could not believe the set up, the spacious comfy 1st class plane reclinable seats, the extensive cocktail and food menus, etc. wow! Unbelievable. Love the idea of getting pampered at the movies.. I was so accustomed to those itchy, nasty bed bug collapsable economy coach seats at most regular movie theaters. Not anymore! I'm done, I'll pay the extra $$$ for A top notch movie experience. My boyfriend and I were the ONLY people in the theater which was pretty cool. We had the place to ourselves. Service was good, I ordered the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and a bottle of water the bill was $25 with tip. Really pricey but I guess you pay for every little bit of the experience. I have mixed feeling to this movie theater. We used to go all the time in the beginning, the chair were really comfortable, you got blankets and the service was really attentive. We even got free popcorn one time for no reason. Another time we ordered food and it came really cold-no way to get attention to tell anyone and the movie had already started. Once you ordered no way someone will come again. You ask for ice you will never get. Also super overpriced. We stopped going for a while then we went to a Oscar event and got a lot of free tickets. Even though we had movie pass for other theaters we decided to used them. The chairs were smelly now, no more blankets, so hard to get someone to get an order even though you arrive early. The SOUND! - they lowered the volume not sure why so it was hard to hear the movie. We tried it for like 3-4 times, same thing on every visit. After Silverspot opened we changed to there completely. I've heard mixed reviews about this theater but I must say my experience was a great one! My waiter was extremely enthusiastic with helpful suggestions of drinks. Furthermore, the facility has renovated their seats and they are absolutely gorgeous. My theater was clean and the staff was available throughout the movie to provide any assistance. I did go to brunch before my movie so I did not order food. But, I did order a cocktail and I must say that the drinks are fairly priced. I ordered a passion fruit mojito which I was not very fond of. It was a bit watered down and did not have much Rum. But, I would still like to come back and try the food with maybe a different cocktail. Overall, I believe that the management is headed in a positive direction with this theater. read more

I have confirmed that my experience was not an anomaly. This place has poorly trained and unmotivated staff that make enjoying a movie absolutely PAINFUL. Second time I've placed a food order now and I wait the entire movie to see if it will come. The staff were kind. The seats were comfortable - except for the one that my wife sat in which was broken. That was the good. Now for the bad... In our party of three, we ordered two drinks, three food dishes, and three waters. The drinks came soon enough, were OK. The food came one hour after it was ordered - nearly over half way through the movie we were watching. Of these two were mediocre, the third (burger) arrived cold. The water came... never - even after walking out of the theatre and asking for the water a second time. We were in town for about two weeks - normally live near San Jose, California. We are frequent customers of Pruneyard Cinames, who offer the same experience much better executed - so we know that it is possible to do this well. read more

Yes, it's expensive they said: $24 per person...it's cold they said. But it's totally worth it and these are the reasons why; 1. They will validate your parking ticket. 2. Gorgeous bar on the first floor as well as in the second floor. 3. While I had a drink which its price was reasonable nothing extra, I watched a football game in their huge screen and seating on their very comfortable and modern high chairs. 4. Assigned seats and theater that do not exceed 38 seats per room. 5. Electric, individuals and leather chairs. I was so comfortable relaxing on them while I watched the movies. 6. Personalized service. The waiter will come to your seat and ask you for what do you want to eat or drink and bring it to you. Wonderful experience and I look forward to go back, Thank You. Decided to treat my daughter to this new cinema in Brickell City Centre so we walked over which was a nice in itself. When we arrived it was very upscale, modern and luxurious. I can appreciate all of the bells and whistles; however, a movie on a Sunday at 1:30pm with a 4 year old should not cost $25 per ticket. Yes, you read it correctly. $50 to see a movie and that does not include anything but the entrance. There are two bars with very large tv's which are great for watching sports games. The theatres are very intimate sitting less than 40 people. The chairs are plush leather and recline. They also provide a full menu which includes appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and deserts. It also includes the typical movie staples of popcorn and other goodies. They have a full bar menu as well with cocktails, wine and spirits. My daughter wanted chicken tenders and French fries which have to be ordered separately. This was $18. A bottle of water was not simple either. It is a glass water bottle which I believe was over $10. It was a nice experience and Brickell truly needs a movie theatre in the area; however they are truly raping the public with their prices. Yes it is convenient to walk over; however the price is obscene. Hopefully they bring their prices down at least for matinee shows and offer specials for locals. read more

I saw a movie here during my trip. It is a nice theater that offers dining. The staff were friendly and my food and drinks arrived quickly. The movie viewing experience was great but the reason for only 3 stars is limited vegetarian and pretty much no vegan options. The only vegetarian menu items were truffle fries and Caesar salad which was labeled vegetarian but who knows as usually Caesar dressing has anchovies. I know there is a limited menu due to covid and I'm not asking for a ton of vegan options but something like a beyond or impossible burger would make this a 5 star experience read more

The thought is right. Here are some things to know. We drove like crazy to make the 3:30 movie which really doesn't start until 4:00. They want you to show up early to order food and drinks. There is a 19.5% gratuity built into the bill. It's cold so bring a sweater. If you are 5'4" or less your feet probably won't touch the floor in your seat. We spent $75+ on food and drinks to be told that the kitchen is backed up and if we want to order anything after 4:30 we have to get up from the movie and go down to the bar. read more

I used to love this theater. It was so clean, seats so comfortable, and great staff. The last few visits the movie theater were really negative experiences. This last time so bad I decided to post this review. The bathrooms are a mess, with garbages overflowing and bad smells, toilets are not being cleaned. Carpeting smells like spilled drinks in the hall ways. Worst of all was that The AC was not working well in our theater -- when reported to management only excuses, no apology, no voucher, nada. If this were a dollar theater I could see but it's one of the most expensive movie theaters in Miami. Do better CMX! Please invest in management that cares and knows how to build a loyal customer base. Sad! read more

Chicken Cesar salad got me sick. I'll spare you the details but I am still recovering.

It's fine so long as you understand that like the rest of these so-called dine in theaters (with the exception of ipic), the chances of you actually getting your food in a seamless experience is about 60 percent (see my SILVERSPOT review and I think the chances at that place are even lower). So it went on my last visit to see Uncut Gems. To start the experience, I couldn't bring up the tickets on my phone and they couldn't look them up either because their WiFi was down, and according to the host, had been down for a week. A week? What are we doing here? So I had to go out into the mall to fetch a signal to get the tickets. The movie started about an hour late due to a fire alarm. These things happen I suppose. But yet again, no food actually came - no drinks actually came - until I got out of me seat to ask where it was. Oh and yes, they do have call buttons at the seats, however as informed by a server, those buttons are non-operational and never have been. What all these fake luxury theaters don't seem to get is that being able to sit and watch a movie while being served is precisely the selling point of the $50 ticket. You see if you can't provide that, then the reason for coming to the theater is lost. Lastly, to CMX - this is Brickell. I promise you that sub-par just doesn't work here. If this little town has shown anything, it's that we will collectively run out businesses that do not perform with unparalleled speed. You market that world class service for that world class price, you better start to deliver. That's it I'm done. read more

Severely Over-Rated! Not Impressed! For the money paid, I would have thought this theater would be an elite of elite places to watch a feature but we were severely disappointed. Not only were the tickets $30 each so roughly were about $60 in before the movie begins. The seating was just as normal as a Cineapolis with limited recline movement to be fair. After sporting 2 burgers, with sweet potato fries, and 2 coca colas and a popcorn we were another $80 in, so for the full experience with dinner it was roughly about $150. While im keen on splurging a touch on a movie with the wife, it'd be nice if the experience was worth the experience and sadly this place is lacking in the standard comforts that a theater should have. Cineapolis in Coconut Grove is a touch cheaper and of similar quality. Overall I wouldn't come back here as it just didn't live up to what other competitors can provide. I left the theater to ask the manager to adjust the ac , he lied to me telling me he turned the ac off. My husband and I visited this movie theatre for the first time on Valentine's Day - which is a 5 min walk from our building. Upon our arrival, we walked up to the counter and picked up our tickets. Headed towards the room, but they were cleaning (which took FOREVER.) - you usually sit down 30 mins before the movie, well, I think we walked in 15 mins before because they were cleaning. We sat down and stared looking at the menu, which has a great variety of items (I wouldn't say overpriced although some items were.) The lady came over to take our order, we were the third party to be taken care of - we ordered the chicken tenders (VERY good) and the grilled shrimp (DELICIOUS). However, we were carrying a bottle of SmartWater with us, so technically we didn't need more water but agreed to have some still water when our waitress asked what we wanted to drink. Movie started and you'd notice how the waiters kept waking around, taking more orders, and bringing water... I'm not going to say "most expensive water we've ever had" because that's not true, but $6 for a small bottle of water is ridiculous, we were hoping for tap water. The movie was halfway through and they still hadn't brought my food out (my husband had already eaten his chicken tenders with truffle fries.) - so much for a dinner together! The food was good, can't complain there, but the overall experience was just ridiculous - VERY distracting! Like I think I'd prefer to have someone on their phone next to me than seeing so many people walk in and out with drinks and food. As a Brickell resident, I've been there a bunch of time, but last visit I had a really bad experience (Oppenheimer on 7/22 at 3:30pm). The food is usually descent, and the chairs are comfortable, but customer service is poor. My chair wasn't working (it was turned off and wouldn't recline), I had to ask for the manager twice, after she finally came she said to just wait for the server to fix the chair, although the server was clearly busy taking food orders. Why couldn't the manager handle the situation?? Shouldn't she know how to turn the chair on?? Then the movie started, my chair still hadn't been fixed nor my food order taken. I had to leave the theater to find help, to my surprise the manger and the server were just chit-chatting outside, obviously the manager didn't tell the server about the broken chair. Then I was told that seat the has actually been broken all day (again why didn't the manager tell me this?), but that they would only issue refund for 1 of the 2 seats I had purchased. read more

The lower bar areas had chairs in which metal rods that serve as foot rests were coming out of their slots. Guess IKEA must have had a sale on reconditioned furniture and Cinemex jumped on the deal. I lived in California where they had well managed luxury cinemas such as Cinepolis (a real Cinepolis, not the crappy, scaled down version like the one in the Grove) and The Lot...these are also Mexican owned luxury chains but absolutely blow away CMX Cinemas from what I have observed. Very disappointed--if you are not ready to open, don't. I might, or might not, return in another 3 or 6 months if/when this place gets its act together. If you are going to charge a premium price and claim you are a luxury cinema, don't offer banana republic service. I loved this theater. Talk about first class service! The highlights for me were definitely the free popcorn, free blanket, lounge chairs that recline to almost 180 degrees (so you're nearly laying down), and the amount of space between seats. I felt like I was watching a movie in the comforts of my own home but with a giant screen and amazing surround sound. To my surprise, the food and drink prices were very reasonable, about the same price as in a regular theater. No doubt, The best part of my experience at CMX was not having to wait. I hate going to a movie theatre and having to arrive 20 to 40 minutes early to get good seats. At CMX, I was able to reserve my seat online so I can arrive just five minutes before the movie started. Pro tip: you get a discount on drinks if you buy online when you purchased your ticket. read more

This was my first time coming to Brickell city Centre and boy have I been missing out. The movie theatre was very active with lots of people in the lobby eating appetizers, having drinks and watching the game. We were given our theatre number and walked into the theatre and sat down. There was a menu aLready at the table, where we were greeted by our attendant. I ordered a berry martini because they unfortunately were out of strawberry and my husband ordered a Sunset punch. The berry martini was very good and my husband was very pleased with his drink because it had just the right alcohol. The server boasted about the guacamole so I fIgured I would give it a try. He was right. Amazing! Must have. The guacamole was fresh, chunky with just the right amount of lime. It was served wIth tostones, plantains, and wontons chips. I also ordered a poke bowl which came with tuna, mango, coconut jasmine rice, and pickled onions. It was ok but I was so stuffed from the guacamole I really couldn't enjoy it. My husband had CRX deluxe burger and said it was delicious. It was a great experience but the bill can add up and with the 18% gratuity added on top, be prepared for at least $100 bill for two. read more

I big shot out to Johnathon the manager on duty April 24. We purchased our tickets online for the show NOBODY the tickets were scanned when we arrived however there was a glitch in the system and it gave us seats for another show unbeknownst to us and one other couple watching the movie nobody. In the theater before us was a private group who had booked the theater and they trashed it the manager apologize for the wait (extensive clean up was needed) after about 30 minutes he ushered us into the theater and offered to comp our dinner. When the movie started it was not the one that both couples had purchased. (NOBODY) was not playing on the big screen after a little confusion Jonathan played the correct movie on for us, he explained to us that it was a Fan dango computer problem. Our overall experience was excellent, Jonathan more than made up for the delay in our movie and the confusion over which movie was showing. Jonathan approached us after the show to apologize for the confusion and to make sure everything was OK. What could've been a disaster turned out to be a very pleasant evening a big shout out to Jonathan and the whole staff. read more
