Location at 3500 Concord Rd, Aston ( DO NOT TRUST ). Took some old laptops and printer to donate. Did not need and gave them to CNA. One laptop wanted opinion if could be upgraded. They held and called me later to advise cost a few hours later. I went back to pickup the one laptop and was told " You need to pay us a Diagnose fee or $360 to upgrade. " Then was told " we wont give you back your laptop or other items you brought until you pay a diagnose fee which was over $100 ". Then was told " If you report this or write a bad review We have ways to check the hard drives and steal your data". Now this I could have called the police but decided nothing was worth keeping. But in the end this person should be reported and everyone should know at least this location AVOID ....... read more

I wish I took the time to read these reviews beforeI had them fix a minor issue accessing the Safari server. They quoted $159 to $280. I was surest would be closer to $159. Be careful of this place. First, my laptop usb-c ports were not working. So I took it to this repair shop. Okay, they fixed it. It was quite expensive but if they can get the job done, they deserved it. It took about a week or so to fix it. I paid them and had my laptop back. Soon I realized the webcam of the laptop was not working. I took the laptop back to the shop. I was 100% sure it was still working before I sent it in because my son used the webcam for online class few days back. The second reason why I am so sure is because my laptop uses the webcam to capture my face every time I log in. So, if it wasn't working before I sent it, I would have easily known it (it will prompt a message if the webcam is not working). The third reason why I am so sure is because I never see the "webcam not working message" before until I had the laptop back from them. Instead of admitting their mistake, they try to blame me and say things like "Oh, we're not able to check the laptop because the port was not working...". That is nonsense. They think they can get away with such lame excuse. They even try to ask me to pay to fix for the mistake they caused. If they are honest upfront, admit their mistake and willing to compensate, I won't put out this review. But it is very disappointing to see such dishonest company in our neighborhood. What a shame! Everyone makes mistake in their life, I understand that, but what makes this store "different" from others is that, they will try to shift blame, and then ask customers to pay to fix the problem the store had caused. read more

I went to CNA Computer Repair to get my laptop unlocked that I purchased from eBay. The seller sold me a laptop that was password-locked (a story for another day). The technicians at CNA installed a fresh copy of Windows on my laptop. Within a few hours, my laptop was like new. After a few years working with CNA for successful mac desktop repair and cleaning and even picking up my heavy computer from my home, I am so disappointed that for this year, I would not recommend CNA on Darby Road to the reader unless: *you insist on a written, dated warranty somewhere on the bill for services/product and then file for safe keeping *insist on receiving an itemized invoice or bill before you pay. Although I asked for one, I am told they do not itemized and in essence, I received a "bundle" price with all services listed but without corresponding charges. *if buying a used or new computer, insist on the price you agree to pay before it is ordered and prepared. When asked how much I wanted to spend, I told CNA under $1000. I ended up spending close to $1500. Extra charges (non cash charge of $56 for paying with a card--even a debit card), and a service that the owner alleged he forgot to add on the bill after I was told all was complete the price of $1250 earlier. These actions were not customer focused, but owner focused, in my opinion. *questioning the owner about the extra charges was unpleasant as he was clearly not open, said very little outside of defending his actions and prices even to the point of admonishing me of not reading his 5 signs in his shop that explained the non cash fee charge when I asked about it. My recommendations to CNA: *Provide written warranty of work to all customers *Itemize all charges--be fiscally transparent *Explain verbally or in writing, all additional fees, charges and payment restrictions before service. Email or place in customers' hands *Call customer if not able to meet customer's base price and proceed only with customer's permission/authorization *Follow the premise that the customer is always right and if that doesn't work, at least be respectful, honest, curteous and above all, be transparent. read more

I rarely write reviews. But I wanted to write this one as I feel like the majority of the reviews I saw were completely FALSE. CNA Computer repair helped me out more than any other place I had taken my computer before. I was dealing with issues where I was unable to play majority of games on my computer for well over a year. I called CNA and was surprised they answered even though they were listed as closed. I came to find out it was the owner on his cellphone, but he was very friendly and super helpful before I even brought my computer in to their shop. Everything was explained to me in person at the shop and when I was confused the owner actually took the time to answer all of my questions. Even though I think some of my questions may have been irritating to hear, only because I needed a new GPU and he said they had already ordered a part. Regardless they were able to find out the issue with my computer being that my old GPU was dying/almost dead. They gave me very upfront straight forward pricing, and were more than fair when I asked if I could do a payment plan as I was struggling with money a few months ago. I was able to pay off my computer timely but they said they would work with me as I was paying it off in the event something happened and I had to pause payments. I write all of this to say I have seen a lot of unfair reviews and was honestly partially nervous reaching out. But I have a friend who owns a small business and has gotten a lot of bad reviews based on false claims. I came to find out this was the same thing going on with CNA. I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend reaching out to them if you need computer help. This was the only place I will feel safe taking my computer for any issues going forward. I had taken it to Microcenter and Geeksquad multiple times with them always saying something like "ok we fixed it" for my computer to then keep having issues a week later. The people at CNA were very friendly and explained everything that was going on with my computer to me. I can't say enough about how great my service was here, and I was a first time customer. It really shows that they really care about their customers. My only complaint (and it's not even really a complaint) was that I think their receipt process for people on payment plans could be improved. But the way it was now was more than manageable! Thank you for everything you did to help me and my computer!!! My review is based on the following experience. I took in my laptop because the mouse pointer disappeared,  two hours later I was called and told it is all good, come get it, it costs 229 dollars. I went to pick it up and used my credit card, but noticed an extra 5 dollar charge. I was told that is the credit card fee. ? Ya think you mighta mentioned that when I took out my Credit card? Ok, move on. I was given a paper to sign before I took my laptop home saying it was "in perfect condition". Since I had no idea if it was, we tested it at my request and it was far from perfect, it was not one iota better! So I left it so they could fix it. Next day I get a call that they can't fix it, it is probably a windows 11 glitch, and if I want they will wipe it clean and put windows 10 back on. NO, I don't want that.  Furthermore, since you knew about the windows 11 problem before I came to your store, why didn't you tell me that could be a possibility?  So now I have to pay close to $200 for NOTHING. I will never return here, I think they are intentionally deceptive and I am outraged that they could have told me about the windows glitch and I could have just waited for the fix. DON'T GO HERE, YOU ARE BETTER OFF AT THE CASINO. At least you can have some fun while you throw away your money! Update, Angelo called me because the front desk guy noted I was not happy when I picked up my unfixed computer. Angelo offered nothing but excuses, and said it worked when they called me the first time, but maybe his tech guy should have spent more time with it to make sure it wasn't intermittent and he was calling me because he wanted me to be happy. He said suggesting it could be a windows 11 problem up front or discussing it was not something they do. I suggested refund some of my money since he wanted me to be happy, but that was not an option. The staff I spoke to were hostile and evasive, refusing to answer direct questions and giving me misleading/inaccurate information regarding timeframe and price. The pricing at this business is a huge scam, and I'm hoping to save you some money by relaying the stupid mistake I made. While attempting a repair on my laptop, I made a mistake and broke the wire leading to the touchpad. In a sleep deprived state, I decided to take the laptop to CNA to get it quickly fixed. They asked for $225(!) for the repair, which is about the same cost as my entire laptop. When I didn't want to pay that, they still wanted $130(!) for taking the laptop apart and looking inside. That sure seems like a scam to me! Don't do what I did! Here's what you can do instead if you have a broken laptop but a working hard drive. Go to ebay, search your laptop model, and sort by lowest price. There's a good chance you'll be able to find a cheap copy of your laptop but without a hard drive (leaving this out makes it much cheaper). Buy that, take the hard drive out of your broken laptop, and put it in the one you bought off ebay. Done! This is how I fixed my issue for less than $70 instead of paying this scam company $225. read more

I took my computer in for a screen repair. I was quoted $150 to $280 and turn around time for a week. I was told there was also a diagnostic fee of $129 that would be put towards the repair. Of course, that is a no-brainer. I was called less than an hour later by the owner stating it would be over $700. I told him my quote and he launched into a long-winded explanation about rare parts for a macbook screen. I told him this felt like a shakedown for the diagnostic fee, I would NOT have left my laptop there if I was quoted a range even over $500, much less $700. I've now read several reviews about how combatitive the owner is and how this has happened before, PLEASE read the reviews before going as you will not be told the truth. read more

My HP laptop would no longer boot so I took it to the Broomall location. I was told this was a common problem and it would cost about $220 to fix. Even though the laptop was a few years old, I agreed to the repair, probably not the best decision, but they seemed confident it was repairable. A few days later I got my laptop back, it appeared to be working again, but not for long. Less than one week later, same problem, not booting! I took it back to CNA and they agreed to look at it again. Couple days later I checked on the status and I get the news that the motherboard is beyond repair and nothing can be done. I talked with the manager in the hopes of getting some sort of refund, even partial. He told me I was basically I was out of luck. Now I understand these guys have to charge for some labor, but I'm out over $200 with nothing to show for it except a busted laptop. I felt like the manager could have stepped up but he didn't, he had my money and he was done with me. All he did was offer me a discount if I come back to repair something else...lol...fat chance! Make sure you ask lots of questions. I was told that the $89 diagnostic fee would be put toward any repairs. My laptop was not turning on. The tech called and said that the charger was not working and that it would cost $149, which is the diagnostic fee plus the cost of a new charger. I had expected that the cost of the charger would be offset by the diagnostic fee, but this is not the case. I regret that I did not ask more questions about the policy regarding what constitutes a "repair" and what costs can be offset by the diagnostic fee. But I also strongly feel that since I presented with a laptop that was not turning on, I should have been told ahead of time that if I needed a charger, that cost would not be offset by the diagnostic fee. I was told that they can't go over every possibility with the customers, but this is pretty basic and I wish that the communication had been better. The tech will probably say that I am "confused," which is what he said in an email to me. He did recommend a further repair of a loose power jack (which would cost more than the computer is worth) and he also offered to buy my computer for parts and apply some of the diagnostic fee to a refurbished computer. But I have every right to make a choice to use the simplest solution -- getting a new charger -- and getting more life out of my computer, instead of spending $325 on a refurbished computer (after the discount he offered). The whole point of my review is to say that I wish the communication had been better. read more

I brought my laptop in for repair. Hard Drive was crashing. CNA replaced drive with inferior unit, spinning at several thousand RPM slower then OEM unit being replaced. Looked up specs on new drive...sure enough...specs show a slower RPM rate. Basically froze when any video editing was attempted. Called manager, said he would replace it if we paid for another drive and that the one he put in was the only unit he could locate. (found a better replacement on Amazon in 30 seconds). Ended up buying a solid state drive and installing myself. Best of Havertown/whatever...yeah right...stay away. read more

Very poor customer service at the Aston store. I would totally agree with the other reviewer who said communication was ineffective. Brought my computer in to extract files. The computer still booted up at home. After 24 hours, I called to see if I could pick it up but was told that my computer didn't boot up for them and that now it would be a longer process and may cost more. Maybe a phone call should have been made prior to using another more costly system to check and see if I would be ok with that??? Came to pick it up and it was more than twice what I was quoted in the beginning. I had al;ready called a competitor who told me they could do it for cheaper. Told George that who called competitor and he said they gave hime a different price. George called Angelo who asked me why I was so unhappy. When I explained, he threatened me by telling me if decided to come back and get my extracted files it would cost me twice as much as now. Now thats GREAT customer service!!! read more
