Amazing ambience, good food, yummy drinks and excellent service. Look at the detail on the ice cube! Next level.

Went on a Friday night , service was pretty good. We sat quickly outside with no wait. The garlic noodles were amazing! The oyster appetizer was also great.

Everything tasted fine, pretty average. Nothing really stood out. But it was a fine place! The prices felt too expensive for the taste and experience. Unfortunately overall, it was fine and just okay. I think the photos looked better than the actual taste. Service was fine, we didn't get checked on ever. But no staff was rude or ignored us.

Super great happy hour deals! The oysters were so delicious that we ended up getting two servings. The fried chicken was also fried to perfection - crispy skin with super tender meat. It was paired with a simple fish sauce that gave the chicken a pleasant umami flavor. The drinks were decent, but did lack a bit of depth and complexity. I'd like to try some of their other food and drinks to see if there are other options that I would enjoy more.

5 stars for the Chef Experience... Jeff and the whole staff were wonderfully attentive. You can tell they care about their craft. We had a several-course dinner with cocktail pairings. Too many to list! Our favorite dishes included the fried oyster, roti with curry sauce, pho dumplings and the fried banana for dessert. Our favorite drinks included the pillow talk, Maldives and an off menu old fashioned. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.

So this place is beautiful. The menu is a modern take on Vietnamese food, i enjoyed the food and it was good but to me it doesn't taste authentic? I guess that would be the word. I ordered Pho, although it was good there was a floral taste in the soup that i couldn't shake or grow accustomed to. I would say 3/5 for the pho. My partner order a banh mi and that was good but same as before theres a hint of something that threw me off. The drink was good i got it non-Alcoholic but you could make it with alcohol. It was my fav at the table and we got bread and that was good, nothing special. I do want to go back for a night of drinking, i heard the alcoholic drinks are pretty good. Try the place for yourself, if i go back for food the pho wouldnt be what i would choose.

I love this place!!! For some reason my husband and I always go on a rainy day, but it never disappoints. The cocktails are delicious handcrafted right in front of you at the bar no matter what you have to get the roti two big puffs come out with a little bit of curry that are super flavorful. We also really enjoyed the papaya salad and of course a bowl of Pho. It has low lighting inside a little bit smaller but feels very cozy almost like date night vibes. The servers are very kind and very helpful when in Oakland make sure to check out this place.

I love the brunch menu here! My friend and I enjoyed a delicious brunch at Co Nam on a Saturday morning. Around 11:30am there was no wait and plenty of seating. We were excited to try their unique brunch dishes, so we split two entrees. Both were delicious! Chicken & Waffle (5/5) I'm a sucker for a pandan mochi waffle, and this was particularly great one. The chicken thigh tempura was perfectly cooked and not greasy, and the condensed milk topping was sweet and tasty. Wicked Bennie (4.5/5) The braised pork belly egg benedict inside a bao bun was fantastic! I didn't care for the flavorless cucumber salad that it came with, which neither of us finished. For our drink, we both ordered the Paradise Punch (4.5/5) which was sweet and refreshing. Service was fine (4/5) and food came out in a timely manner. I like the ambiance inside and there is also outdoor seating. This restaurant is a short walk from Macarthur BART. I parked at the BART garage since it's free on the weekend.

Some film photography pics I took of this restaurant! The garlic noodle was really delicious and I enjoyed the ambiance. The staff were so friendly as well! They were so nice and adjusted my cocktail since I didn't want it to be too strong too.

Finally made it to this spot I've been wanting to check out. The cocktails are very good as most reviewers have said. The menu for drinks is extensive and varied. I got the First Kiss cocktail with egg white and it was impeccably mixed. Our favorite app was the mochi dumplings. The umami flavor was excellent but I def don't recommend the hot chilies on top unless have a very high tolerance for spiciness. The wicked buns with chicken were good and the buns were perfectly fluffy and crispy - we dipped them in the sauce for the mochi dumplings. Entrees were the basa clay pot and the grilled chicken bowl with vermicelli noodles. Both were very good. The portion of the chicken bowl was good and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The bean sprouts are on the bottom which is great because I don't like them! The fish is excellent and comes very hot. Only issue was we found a piece of plastic with blue writing in the basa clay pot dish. Told the server in case other portions might have the same issue. She apologized but left it at that. My husband fished it out of his mouth when chewing. Since it was cooked over high heat with the fish, because of plastic toxicity concerns, I recommend the owners and staff check food and if plastic is found, check the other dishes and do a little more than apologize. Overall, will try this place again, for happy hour which looks good. The decor is urban and cool, with old family photos on the wall and an L shaped table in the corner where we sat. My 6 year old enjoyed the food which was not spicy when we removed the chili peppers.

I absolutely love Co Nam! If you're looking for a spot to impress your date I highly recommend coming here for delicious, elevated Vietnamese food & craft cocktails. I've always been a fan and I just tried their brunch and I was super impressed! My friends and I had their bottomless mimosas and I ordered the pandan chicken waffles and their Benedict to share. Both dishes were so good! I really liked the caramelized condense milk that was paired with the waffle. A couple other friends ordered a creme brûléed French toast and pork belly fried rice, also looked amazing! A plus was that they don't force everyone at the table to do mimosas, unlike many other places. Service was also on point and I can't wait to come back!

Second time here and it was even better than I remember. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was 10/10. So flavorful, fresh and delicious. The place was decorated with a very refined, yet homey touch. Excellent!

Stopped by for drinks and ended up staying for a couple rounds! They have a very fun and interesting cocktail selection that is worth checking out. The Tokyo street fashion and the Saigon street peddler are their most popular drinks- note the Saigon street peddlers can be spicy! The bartender was very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely interested in coming back and trying their food selection!

Hi, I have a giftcard from your sf location and I haven't used it. Is there anyway to use it in your Oakland location?

Now that outdoor dining has resumed are bottomless mimosas back? If so, what are the hours that it's offered? Thank you

Hi Mathew. We’re open for outdoor dining weather permitting. Currently offering Sat for bottomless 11-3pm. Once the weather improve we’ll staff up and add Sunday.

Tallboy's martini menu is well-executed. While I didn't personally try one of the slushies, a friend ordered the espresso martini version and gave it a solid thumbs-up. Unfortunately, the experience falls apart when it comes to food and service. Waiting 30+ minutes for two hot dogs (after paying) is hard to justify. When I checked in with a server, she was curt and dismissive. She was quick to explain there was only one person in the kitchen, with no effort to offer a solution, timeline, or even basic courtesy. I understand staffing issues happen. However, customer service is a close second to concept. How an issue is communicated and addressed is what separates good service from bad. What's more frustrating is that these aren't customer problems to absorb. If the kitchen is understaffed, if tables aren't being cleared in a timely manner at a seat-yourself spot, those are management problems. Guests should not have to choose to leave without the food we paid for. There's a lot of competition out there, and concepts alone aren't enough to bring people back. I genuinely wanted that hot dog. That's probably the most disappointing part of the whole experience. Great drinks, solid ambiance, but the service needs serious attention.

Technically, we got to try it out the week after, but they extended their menu for the week after. We came that Sunday evening. Parking can be a bit of a hassle because it is indeed Downtown Oakland. Your whole party has to get the Restaurant Week Menu. So we all got their: Aperitif Cocktail - Tomato Beef or Purely Passion (Non Alcoholic) I got the Purely Passion. Good, nothing to write home about. Umami Tots This was really good! Very Crispy. Chili Cucumbers This one was actually really good. Szechuan Salt and Pepper Wings Good, but maybe too crispy? Wings are always good but this one didn't stand out for me. Mango Sorbet (They changed this from the Apple Sorbet that day) My favorite of the whole night. I usually don't like sorbet but this one was soft and easy to eat and has like a creamy like texture? Trying this made me want to try their other dessert item. We also ordered 2 add ons - the Hojicha Miso Tiramisu and the Korean Mapo Tofu. Hojicha Miso Tiramisu was OK. It contained too much alcohol for all of us and was bitter. Disappointing. I liked the Mapo Tofu! I liked that it was Crispy and that it came with rice. Drinks wise, my friends also got to try the Tomato Beef and White Rabbit. I don't really drink alcohol so I just sipped a bit. Tomato Beef was too alcoholic for me, couldn't really taste the tomato or the beef, but I could see what White Rabbit was going for.
