As I was waiting for Janet, the Coach Men's Factory caught my attention with a sign in the window announcing 50% discount on all bags. I'm a male version of a bag whore! I have an extensive bag collection from Louis Vuitton, Tumi and Coach, including massagers, backpacks and over-night bags, so the last thing I needed was yet another bag. Shoe loving ladies, you know what I am talking about! As an addict would make excuses to see his dealer for the last time, I told myself the same and strolled right in. Immediately I was greeted with a smile and reassured that the discount was in affect. The staff offered assistance, but I politely refused, as I was only browsing. It didn't take long before I was inspecting several bags, still in denial, trying to decide which would best fit my needs. Eventually, I asked for assistance, as I was attempting to select the best color shade and leather texture of the same bag. Holly assisted me and suggested to bring out the rest of them from the back, so I can choose the perfect one. She brought out another four to choose from. Now that is customer service! Typically you ask someone to check for an item in stock and you're faced with resistance and laziness; not so with Holly and the Coach store. I made my purchase, and the bag was packaged with care. The store was well organized and kept neat and tidy. The sections were organized by style and type, making browsing effective and efficient. One minor issue was that the nearest mirror to the sunglass section was on the opposite wall, roughly twenty feet away. This should be easily remedied by store management. Was so surprised to see a Coach Men's outlet store next door to the Coach store that's always so packed. Store is pretty large and very clean and tidy. My girlfriend and I liked the luggage bags, and you can also find Coach iPad cases here too. Workers here are very friendly and nice, and when we were looking for a card wallet, they were extremely helpful. Girls can find useful things for travelling, and for their guys! I'm not aware on how long the Coach Men's Factory has been open, but it's my first time noticing it during this particular visit to the Great Mall. I have never owned any Coach product in my life, but today could potentially change all that since they now cater to men. If I had to describe this place in two words, it would be "Man Purses"! They were all over the place. I could never imagine myself carrying these. I really don't understand about the hype of this brand. It's simply the name that everyone gets so wild about. Excellent customer service, 5 stars all the way! Why do you ask? They had let me do an exchange for a super-duper-past due purchase of a hideous tote bag I had purchased back in the end of November of 2014. Was the tote THAT hideous? It wasn't, it was actually okay - there was just some negative memories as to why I purchased it. Plus I am not really a "tote bag" kind of a guy. Apparently totes are popular with younger guys/gay guys/metro guys/SF/NYC city guys, etc. Plus totes are kinda girly ("Murse-ish") to me so why I purchased it? I don't know, Bad decision. Rule of thumb: Buy something that you will make use of. A tote, I would never use so it was a terrible impulse buy with the hopes it would have been used for a fun weekend getaway that I knew would never happen. So fast forward to March 2015 - I am at the Livermore Premium Outlets and I go into the COACH Men's store just to browse. I stumble upon this amazing - perforated leather (gym) duffle with a compartment for shoes. I was immediately sold BUT I knew I shouldn't be buying it at $199. However, I asked the associate about their return/exchange policy and how I have never used this Tote (tags still on it and everything). She said she could help me out as COACH's Policy is they want us to be happy. She was absolutely amazing and very friendly. However, I decided to give COACH MEN in Great Mall a call as realistically, I didn't really want to drive back up to Livermore for an exchange despite how friendly and nice the sales associate was. That's quite a trek up from San Jose. I spoke with Jason, the store manager and he was absolutely accommodating and understanding of the situation. I headed on in after work, brought the tote and did an exchange. Of course I had to pay the difference but I didn't mind, a gym duffle is more useful to me as I have hit the gym more often - more useful than an unused tote that carried negative memories. So THANK YOU Jason for the awesome customer service. I definitely need to come back and purchased the perforated matching wallet now, I'm in love with this duffle...or in my case a gym duffle. :) 5 Stars! read more

Was ready to make a purchase. I checked for the product online and called in to make sure they have it. When I arrived there was a line for the women's coach. I walked to the men's door and tried to get in but the lady said there's a line. I said, "Do I look like a women to you?" she said, "you have to wait in line".. Well? Here's to a store with a poor management. Seriously? I walk in with my friends, decently dressed... No hellos, no welcomes, no nothing. I started looking around and usually the staff are very friendly but this one... I asked them if they carried any other wallets than the ones on the display. She leaned on the counter, looking through her tablet by herself without any explanations. My friend picked out a wallet that I really liked. While I was checking it out, the lady had her hands in her pocket and was talking to the other employees about her stupid weekend THAT no one cares about. I asked her I was gonna take it and she yelled out "it's $287.65"... LIKE WTF LADY. I didn't even ask you about the price. I'm not damn broke. I asked you if you had any other ones in the back. I walked in the store and immediately a sales associate said "hello." This is the 1 star. As soon as I was done choosing the wallet I picked out for my brother's birthday gift I headed towards the register. There were two ladies at two different cash registers and they both said at the same time "next." Unluckily, for me I got the rude cashier JORAINNA, who looked like she didn't want to be there. She only asked me if I wanted it wrapped and I said yes. The whole time she was wrapping the wallet, I looked over at the other cashier interacting with their customer smiling and talking. When they were finished with the transaction, they walked around the cash register and politely handed them their bag of purchased items. JORAINNA on the other hand, wrapped the wallet and hand made the box horribly and when she placed it in the bag she didn't even open the bag completely and just stuffed the box in half way. She didn't even walk around to personally hand it to me, she said "here you go." I looked to see behind me if there were customers and maybe she was in a hurry...NO ONE! I can't believe the customer service I got from this employee. I should have went with the other girl. Lesson learned you can judge a book by its cover, don't pick a grumpy looking lady!!!
