My husband thinks that this is an oxymoron but to me, it makes perfect sense because of the original Birkenstock sandal. I like the idea of an open "slip on". This store did not really have what I wanted but I have noticed that their selection is very poor and not because of quantity but quality. I challenged my husband to find one pair of ladies boots that were leather and he couldn't. Even once trusted brands that only delivered quality leather option have gone with vegan leather. Now, here is the deal, I don't mind that you prefer to sell vegan leather but the lower quality should be reflected in the price. Also, I think the boxes should carry a special marker to indicate that the product is not leather. As a general practice, I would love for stores to organize their shoes according to leather and non-leather options for the sake of convenience. This store chain has become the Dollar Store of shoes and is no longer an option for me.

One piece suffered a break in its foot, due to rot, and also had some of the wood actually missing, leaving a gap when the pieces were put together. Joshua was able to restore the bench gorgeously. The repair and fill on the foot is virtually imperceptible, the joints have all been repaired, and he touched up the color, truly restoring this piece to all its former glory. I was also pleasantly surprised that they brought me the left over fabric, from my re-upholstery job. It is not too much, but it is enough for me to take right back to them, and order a few small accent pillows to match the daybed. (Which I plan to do soon.) They could have discarded the fabric or made pillows to sell in their shop, and I would never have known the difference. The honesty meant a lot to me. And speaking of fabric ... they have zillions of beautiful choices, in all price ranges. They were very patient with me and I am a person who does thorough research and takes her time, before I finally make a decision. I will admit a lot of places would have likely become annoyed or frustrated with me, for taking so much time and visiting the showroom to look through samples, over and over and over again, requesting pricing. But they were very kind and pleasant and willing to check pricing for me on many fabrics, many times. I also felt they charged a very fair price, especially considering the craftsmanship and turn around time and their willingness to do the pick up and drop off. The turn around time was so much faster than I expected. It was the holidays and I had to request they hold the daybed a few extra weeks for me, due to my extra traveling and holiday activities.
