As a small town, Dillon had little to offer but the break from the hustle and bustle of life was worth the trip!

My only complaint is that the towels were pretty bad and extremely thin, more so than any other hotel I've visited. We went to the bar on the second floor to people watch. It's a cute spot and has access to outdoor seating with a view and fire pits. Our drinks were just "ok"...I've never had ice in a French 75 and my husband's old fashioned was made with crushed ice and not a ball or large cube which was odd. When I called the hotel back they told me there were no damages to that room, even thought they couldn't find my reservation. I'm not sure who is to blame but I am not happy with the entire situation.

There is no forestry service ban on open burning of acreage in Columbus county , much less in a controlled fire pit. There is no conceivable reason I can't have a fire in a fire pit surrounded by yards of concrete and asphalt. These people are buffoons. They're like the same person who wears a mask for Covid when they are driving in their car by themselves. I will never come back. Save your money and go to a state park where the Gestapo there at least follow state regulations not made up rules.
