It's been a bit since the last time I was here. Outwardly things seem the same, but I felt like things were less chaotic and the overall service was better. Food: The pizza was great, as were the garlic mozzarella balls, really tasty, although they're filling, so plan accordingly. :) Ambiance: Clean and decently lit, TV's covering all sports and news, etc. with an arcade area for kids and plenty of seating and a good beer selection for the big kids. This place is OK. If you are looking for a convenient spot with food and space for a kids event, with some kids activities, this will be good enough. The food is typical pizza, wings, etc sports-bar type of food, so for kids birthday parties, it's enough. They do have alcoholic drinks if you want some of that, and they have a lot of screens for watching sports games. They have an arcade there, but from my understanding after speaking with the staff, they don't actually own/run it. It's an outside company. So if there are issues with the machines, they can't really help you. Their cut-the-rope game is on a very high difficulty, meaning payout doesn't occur as often, so maybe not have the kids play that. There are a few other arcade games and claw machines, but when we went, two machines were broken so the kids were all bunched up on other machines. There's a lack of supervision over in the arcade which resulted in some chaotic moments. There would be several 7 year olds working together to LIFT and TIP OVER the claw machine to try to win the prizes, which was insanely dangerous and should have been stopped by the staff. I did make a short mention of saying "hey, that is dangerous to do" but there is no incentive for anyone to listen to a stranger... it has to come from the staff. So don't leave your kids alone, especially if they are on the younger side, at the arcade. The machines aren't bolstered down so you don't know what's going on if you aren't in viewing distance from it. read more

Coach's corner is a hidden gem forsure. Such authentic hometown staple vibes when I was there. Didn't get the server/cashier name but she was so cool. I order a beer flight and there were so many options I've never heard of she gave good recommendations. Im not a beer person so I order seltzer and ciders for my beer sampler flight. Now to the star of the show the lemon pepper wing was perfect. I love a crispy wing and juicy in the inside; also perfectly seasoned. The cheesy bread sooooo good. The cheesy bread was season with in believe a bit of garlic and came with a really good marinara sauce. The pepperoni pizza an amazing cheese pull ; with cup pepperonis. I loved every second. We came here around 12 p.m. on a Saturday for my son's all-star soccer end-of-season party, and it was my first time. Our coach reserved the back room, and you can tell right away this is a well-known local spot: super casual, laid-back vibe, games on, people talking, beer flowing, but still a nice setup. Parking: Easy. It's in a shopping center with a lot. Food: We had pizza and wings for the group, and everything came out fresh and warm. The wait was about 20 minutes, which was honestly perfect because the kids stayed busy. The pizza I tried was the buffalo chicken pizza (saucy, cheesy, solid). I also tried the lemon pepper wings, which came with ranch, tasty and no complaints. Kid-friendly: There's a small arcade area. You load a card with credits. I gave my son $10 and he played for about 20 minutes, which felt fair and was just enough time for the food to come out. Why locals love it: They can accommodate teams, the vibe is laid back, the kids can be entertained, and the food is good too. My son's been on a lot of teams, so we've done plenty of team parties. I've been to a few of the usual go-to spots for big groups, and I'd say the food here was a notch above. Happy hour: I noticed a sign for $5 domestic pints, a $15 two-topping pizza, and a $5 skillet cookie, which is a nice little bonus. Overall: A really solid spot for a team party or post-game hang. This is one of those local little places that seems to have a huge following. We just wanted a quick take out pizza and some salad and we knew this place was around the corner. We had passed it during the day many times and it didn't look like much but when we went back in the evening it was packed! In fact, there was not a single parking space to be had in the entire strip mall parking lot. Hubby had to drop me off to run in and get the pizzas. There are two rooms to this place. The first one is a large room with a small bar encounter off on one side and then rows of long tables. The second room has video games for kids, just like a little arcade. We called and they took the order over the phone, but not payment. You pay when you get there. It was easy to order and our food was ready when we got there. There was however a very long line of people ordering because there is no table service. Even though we were just picking up I waited quite a long time while other people ordered and asked questions. It's not their faults although it would be nice to have just a pickup area because by the time we actually got our pizza and drove home it was cold. We ordered just a large mixed salad with ranch dressing and a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was fine - - good but nothing special. But the salad dressing was really good which is important to me. Would I go back again? I suppose I would because it's close and the pizza was fine. But I wouldn't really make a special trip. That said, it could be because our pizza was cold by the time we waited in line and took it home. I'm sure if we ate there and got it when it was hot and melty, it would be delicious. read more

We came here for a team party and I was seriously impressed! The outside looked underwhelming at first but once the team got here and we got our own spot and it was no fuss so worth it. We did shakeys earlier in the season and it was so expensive!!!! The games are just that meant to be silly arcade games so we did our thing. The food also was surprisingly good and better quality than shakeys. The service was great also for being so packed for a party of 30 for our whole team. Highly recommend! The pizza tasted great! Everything I tried that was fried (chicken fingers, fries, onion rings) tasted over done. The silverware was not very clean and I had to clean it with a napkin. They were also out of sandwiches and some sodas weren't working. The arcade was wayyyy too expensive. Trying to find a good pizza place somewhat close to us. We found out about Coach's and decided to try it. I really liked the flavor of the pizza we got. Just a little greasy on the bottom, but not too bad. We had pepperoni and sausage and it was tasty. Service took a little long, but we found out it was because I had also ordered the cinnamon bites, which were excellent, by the way. But the employee told me that it takes longer because the bites and sauce are made from scratch upon order. If I had known that when I placed my phone order, I may have waited until a different day to order them. I wonder if the slightly greasy bottom of the pizza was because it had to sit and wait until the cinnamon bites finished. Will definitely go back and try again. Maybe we'll dine in next time. I've been to the old coaches corner a couple times on ball rd. and this new one, I've been two times for special events. The first time was for a gender reveal which was real cool. This second time I set up a reunion for old co workers and it was a hit! I ordered 3 xl pizzas pepperoni and mushrooms, combination, and bbq chicken which were all bomb and improved from the old coaches corner. Everyone loved the pizza and I feed 18 people for $110, 20% tip included for great service!. My favorite was all three pizzas and my pics will show why haha! So I've eaten here twice. Unfortunately this review will reflect the second visit. I had ordered some pepperoni pizza poppers because I'd loved them the first time I'd visited. This time however the poppers each only had 1 single slice of pepperoni in them. As a pepperoni lovers this was extremely disappointing especially these poppers aren't small. I basically just had bread and cheese. The experience did not sit well with me with the lack of staff and the one person who could help just kinda brushed me off while I was waiting to be helped. Overall: I would not recommend this place unless u are okay w not knowing how long it will take for ur food to arrive with little to no updates. Initially only 1 star but I gave another star since they did give us a refund. Food: its ur standard pizza place food. The appetizers weren't too bad but the pizza is basically the standard pizza u can get anywhere else. Service: It took the kitchen 1 hour to tell us that our pizza would be out in about 15 minutes. They only informed us after we asked them for an update. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes more for the kitchen to tell us the pizza was coming out soon. We had ordered at 8pm. When they told us the second time that the pizza was coming out soon, two tables that had ordered an hour after us had already received their pizza. We ended up asking for a refund since we waited so long for pizza. They did give us a free appetizer as an apology, about an hour into waiting. I come here for the fried pickles!!! I don't even care about pizza. My family has been coming here since they were in Buena Park. We loved that location. It gets packed but it's hit or miss. I would give them 5 stars but the game room gets pretty gross kids are messy the bathroom gets yucky too. But this is the best pizza place with a game room for the kids around. Attended a birthday party at Coach's Corner recently and had an awesome experience. Aside from the excellent party planning from the hosts, Coach's Corner was a touchdown in all aspects in supporting the festivities. Great space, food, and service all around. Since we were celebrating a party, we ate in one of the reserved rooms. Very private and spacious. The set up in the public space was also arranged well and very open. The establishment was clean and I saw staff members intermittently cleaning high touch items and areas. Staff were also friendly, helpful, and patient with individual drink orders, general requests, and questions. The hosts ordered several items from various pizzas to appetizers/finger foods. All were delicious. Toppings on pizzas were generous, fried snacks were perfectly crisp, and quality and taste were on point for needing to serve a large quantity to a lot of people. I'm a big fan of their Hawaiian loaded with tons of pineapple. (Yes, pineapple belongs on pizza). Coach's Corner would be a fantastic choice in the area for the ultimate pizza party. The space is well-suited to host groups, nice setup for drinks for the family and 21+, TVs all around to watch your favorite sports game, and a small arcade for kids of all ages to enjoy. Me and my family have been coming to Coach's Corner since they opened up at their new location off of Lincoln. My family and myself come here at least twice a month. This was our first time back at Coachs since new ownership change. Every time we came in before new ownership there was always a gentleman behind the bar and he was attentive to us, and friendly. I can't remember if he was the owner or manager, but we haven't seen him in at all. Our first time back was on January 24th. The young lady behind the bar was clueless and did not know what to do. We stood in line for 20 minutes before we got the bar to place our order. As we were telling her our order, they were out of some fried food items, and wings and pepperoni! How do you run out of pepperoni at a pizza place? Other than that, the food has been great and the buffalo wings is our favorite thing to order. It's so unfortunate this place used to have a great family vibe and feel. Now it just seems just empty. We have been huge supporters since this placed opened but unfortunately we won't be coming back. We will be finding a new pizza spot for now on. Cool place to hang out for family. It has a bar area and an arcade section. It is definitely a fun place to come after a game. I can also see it as a place for a birthday celebration. The arcade section is full of games to keep your kids busy and entertained. For adults, they have big screen TVs to watch your favorite sports and alcohol to keep you happy. I brought my niece and nephew here and they had a great time. As for myself, I had an excellent time babysitting them while enjoying the variety of food they serve. This place has salads, pasta sandwiches, burgers, wings and pizza. I highly recommend you get their sweet chili wings and pizza.
