Very authentic Italian food here at Valentino's in Los Alamitos, CA. Been here several times, this week I tried the Lasagna with bread and salad!! Excellent The owner Ely is a hands on operator/owner! Where else can you find a gentleman who is experienced in his craft and takes it seriously! this is not a chain pizza store. Ely takes pride in his craft and it shows in the food! Looks great, tastes awesome! Love the old skool pizza makers. It's a lost art, and getting harder to find these hidden gems! Thanks Ely!! Until next time!! (FYI) such a nice man, I left my glasses and hat there, and Ely returned to open up and allow me to gather my things after he was closed! As he knew I was just staying in town just for the night! thanks again Ely!

Pizza and sandwiches are always consistently good!

I always enjoy their pizza! Came in recently and the pizza tasted like they changed the recipe... it was still delicious but tasted different. The service was great when I came in. Local high school kids were in there so it added a " college town " aesthetic. It was nice and I'll always come back.

    Perfect taste perfect size

The batter on the chicken is perfectly crunchy and light without being too thick or greasy or overwhelming the chicken. I like the original chicken wings and the soy sauce wings, but they have a lot of other flavors I need to try. Served with the standard Korean cabbage salad and pickled radish (which is a must). Their radish is delicious. Service is attentive and friendly. Beer and soju also served here with a decent selection of beers on tap, and they have a bunch of TVs to watch sports games. This place is great with a bigger group so you can share wings and other dishes as well as a pitcher of beer! My go to place when I want chicken, beer, and a place to watch the game.

The wings were small and not crunchy, partly due to it sitting in the box for 15min but still worth mentioning. The radish container also leaked in our bag and didn't realize. It sat in the passenger seat so there wasn't any roughness. I believe it wasn't tightly sealed, causing the car to smell. Based off a friend's recommendation, it's better dining in and we tried to the next day but could not get seated due to the World Cup making them busy.

This meal was an absolute feast. Before we even ordered, our…read moreserver brought out waters and a bowl of cabbage salad for the table. It's a small gesture, but it immediately made us feel welcomed. We decided to go with one of the combo meals, which came with boneless crispy fried chicken, cheese tteokbokki, and fried potstickers. We also added an order of corn cheese because... how could we not? The chicken lived up to the hype. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in a sauce that had me licking my fingers without shame. The cheese tteokbokki was exactly what I was hoping for. Chewy rice cakes swimming in a rich, spicy, cheesy sauce that kept me coming back for another bite. The corn cheese deserves its own paragraph because wow... I understand why Korean restaurants serve this. Sweet corn covered in gooey melted cheese is one of those dishes that sounds simple but somehow disappears before you realize it. The fried potstickers rounded everything out nicely and added another crispy bite to the meal. And because apparently we hadn't eaten enough, we finished with Dippin' Dots for dessert. It was such a fun way to end the meal and brought back a little childhood nostalgia. Overall, the portions were generous, the food came out hot, and the whole spread looked as good as it tasted. This is definitely a place I'll be coming back to whenever the Korean fried chicken craving hits.

My friend had to go ask again before they came and started to clear out a table for my group. I get that my group was slightly larger because there were 7 of us but saying that 2 hours before closing was slightly ridiculous. Ambiance was clean and standard for a Korean fried chicken restaurant. Now onto the food... chicken was good but not the best Korean fried chicken I've had. The fish cake soup was $25 for only three sticks of fish cake which is MUCH too overpriced for what it was. The taste was solid but also basic and felt like something I could make at home... not special. The chicken gizzard had a good texture and flavor which was nice. The tteokbokki wasn't chewy enough so we weren't that big of a fan. The fries were freshly fried and good but it's hard to mess up freshly fried fries. Overall food was solid but not the best.

How dost one mess up an order not once, but twice in a row?…read more Wing Ferno, we really wanted to love you. But it's clear some serious kitchen training -- and maybe a menu reevaluation -- is in order. Let's start with the spice levels. You used to offer a good range, with the infamous "Wing Ferno" heat reserved for those who truly wanted to test their limits. Somewhere along the way, though, you axed the regular spicy and a few other mid-range options, leaving only mild, medium, and Wing Ferno. No warning, no clarification. When we called to place an order, the staff casually said "spicy," which we assumed meant something tolerable -- not a fire-breathing, stomach-churning sandwich . And we can usually handle our spice -- we're Korean. But this? This had us both violently ill for days with stomach issues. (Sorry for the TMI, but that's the truth.) We chalked it up to a miscommunication and decided to give it another shot. This time, we explicitly asked for medium heat to avoid the inferno. And yet, one of our sandwiches showed up missing half a bun. How does that even happen? We really hoped to add Wing Ferno as one of our go-to spots, but after two back-to-back disappointing (and stomach-wrecking) experiences, we're going to have to take a long break -- if not call it quits altogether. Please do better, Wing Ferno. We want to love you!
