I used to use the gym as punishment to my body for looking the way I did. Now my mindset has completely shifted thanks to Marisa. I'm excited to go the gym because I GET to, because I have the CHOICE to. It's no longer a punishment, it is a badge of the hard things I can accomplish and the privilege I have to move my body. This outlook has truly changed my life, I choose this mindset every day in all aspects, and pass it along to whoever will listen. On top of that, HHbM is a community where we bond through events such as clothing drives, charity work, and good old fashion fun at a brewery on a Friday night! I did a ton of research before deciding on HHbM and it was the best decision hands down. I was quite happy with another gym I belonged to, however a change in my lifestyle and responsibilities changed and it was no longer a good fit for me. Since joining HHbM I've become stronger, remained extremely consistent, gained confidence, lost weight and have made friends that are part of the community she's created. Additionally, my life is constantly changing and I find myself away from my home frequently and I love I can join her virtual sessions and it feels like I'm amongst my workout buddies and at the gym. Marissa truly cares - one element of fitness I never truly grasped was the element of self care, with Marissa's help and motivation this has been a game changer for me.     In The Pink is owned by Kim, a personal trainer. She is absolutely fabulous! I have had trainers…read morebefore, but no on compares! You get very individualized attention and she really knows her stuff. If you have physical limitations (shoulder problem, knee issues, etc.) she is very skilled at working around them to still provide a great workout. No cookie cutter workouts here. Each workout is one on one and tailored to your specific needs and goals. Kim is informative, encouraging, supportive and fun. I can't recommend her highly enough! Note that this is not a drop-in fitness center. She works with women only and you need to call her to set up an appointment.

Kim BLEW- and continues to blow- my expectations out of the water every time I see her! A breakdown of my experience is- - Measurements and forms are done at the start of the relationship so it feels very official and done with care - Kim added me to her iwatch so she can see my fitness status (gives me a reason to get my butt out and about!) - Kim creates a schedule of the workout (e.g., high intensity, low intensity, and cardio) so you have an idea of what you're doing and not just floundering around - There is no same workout every time so I love that I never know what to expect - Fun music is played in the background - Comfortable environment - Ample fitness accessories so you don't feel like you're missing out on the benefits of an actual gym - Ample parking - Convenient availability

She meets you where you're at, challenges you in all the right ways (don't let the super kind smile fool you!), and focuses on building strength that supports what you need in real life--not just burning calories. I especially appreciate her emphasis on controlled, full-range movement--perfect for someone like me whose top goal is to stay strong as I age and avoid injury. I had also decided that I needed to change my lifestyle if I want to have any chance of being healthy and mobile for the next 20-30 years, and finding a personal trainer was at the top of my list. I did not feel confident just going to the gym and trying to figure stuff out on my own. Alina is an awesome trainer. She completely understood where I was coming from, what my goals and fears were and was able to suggest adaptation to exercises and some new equipment that I had never even heard about. She is an educated, knowledgeable and experienced trainer and an awesome person all around. I really appreciated that she was able to explain what we were doing and why, short term and long term. I was impressed by how well she was able to judge my abilities (she was better at it than me!) and how attentive she was during our training. I could relax and exercise without any anxiety. I have to say that it was really impressive how she was able to give me just the right amount and type of encouragement and support I needed. All of these things led me to enjoy my gym time even more. It's been over a year now, and my results are great! I am so much stronger and capable now, with better stamina, and have more self confidence. I am seeing some body recomposition happening and I couldn't be happier. My mental health has improved a lot and now going to the gym is the highlight of my week. I'm pretty sure I gained a friend in Alina, along with all those other things, which is beyond awesome. I was incredibly lucky to have found Alina when I had. I'm very sorry to see her leave this area, but I am confident that she gave me a solid foundation for my fitness journey, and that I will be able to continue to build on it throughout the years.
