Most horrible and unprofessional experience I have ever had anywhere in the world! Reviews I see here don't reflect anything I experienced today. Btw, they alter medical records to cover up! 1. The biting X-Ray stick stinks 2. There are rusting everywhere 3. No CCTV in the treatment room for the protection of both the patient and the business 4. Inexperienced people (both hygienist and front desk staff) who cannot even put the bite stick properly to take X-Ray. I had to puked twice for them to finally gave up. I have a gag reflex, but other dentist offices always did it right. Btw, one of the metal sticks from that bite stick penetrated my mouth once a little bit. 5. I should not have come here after I receive a text 2 hours before the appointment saying that they will cancel the appointment if I don't confirm within 15 mins because they cannot call me. That was the 1st attempt to confirm the appointment and try to cancel like this!! 6. The appointment started ~11:00 AM, they haven't started cleaning by 12:50. I told the doctor that we can go over the treatment plan but have to reschedule for another day because I have to work at 1 PM. He said OK and that they are waiting for insurance. At 1 PM, I tried to checkout at the front desk and explained that I have to work now, so I am leaving. She said, "We haven't checked you out yet. Can't you take an absence from work?". I work remotely, so I have to join the meeting now on my phone. She could have said let's reschedule cleaning instead of these sarcastic comments. I asked can you make another appointment for cleaning. She said I thought you were in so much in a hurry to work. (Being sarcastic again!). It turns out that the hygienist won't be available till 2 PM. Nobody even informed me that, and I was waiting in the treatment room! We cannot spend the entire day at the dentist for a simple cleaning. People have work, other appointments, etc... The only one here who acted professional was a dentist. I was very patient this entire time despite these negative experiences. There isn't even any patient when I came in except 1 who came later. They ran a promotion, get power toothbrush and home whitening kit. I scheduled a teeth cleaning appt. 2 hours before my appt. they called me said no hygienist here today. I had to reschedule. I verified I wanted the toothbrush and whitening kit. And I told them I be bringing xrays. They said okay and will put in file. I rescheduled for 3 days later. 50 minutes prior to that appt. they called said no suction in office, need to reschedule AGAIN. I made 3rd appt. for the next morning. Went to appt. and brought xrays with me and had xrays emailed to them. Was there for almost an hour. They said we need full mouth xrays, they got on the phone with insurance company which according to Coast Dental you can only get those every 3 years. Lady come out and says we will have to reschedule me for the 4th time for next week. WTF. I said well give me the power toothbrush you promised and the whitening kit you promised, I drove to this appt. used my gas and wasted almost an hour here ! I went I for my three months cleaning only to be confronted with a girl who wouldn't do her job unless I agreed to pay for some kind I of contraption that is NOT covered by my insurance to the tune of $500!!!! Fantastic customer service! After some previous disappointing visits at other practices in the area, I was hesitant to try a new company in order to be seen for some tooth discomfort. However, I am incredibly happy with the quality care and service provided by the staff here at Coast Dental at Willow Bend! Debbie was very helpful and did everything she could to make sure I was well taken care of and all my records were sent over to their office. Karina was kind and attentive to my complaints and needs. She listened carefully and made sure that I would be getting done what was necessary while also making sure I would be covered by my insurance. Dr. Roberts exceeded my expectations and I was so happy to be under the care of a professional and personable dentist. He thoroughly examined the issue I was having, discussed the x-rays with me, and listened carefully to all I was saying. I definitely trust him with all my dental needs. He is so kind! The only difficulty I had was that when I tried calling the office, I was connected to a call center and they did not seem to correctly understand me and what I was trying to figure out. Anyways, other than that I truly felt welcomed and well taken care of by everyone in this office. I look forward to seeing them all again soon and getting my family and friends to this place! Charged her over 1500 in a single year with full insurance available! 2 temporary crowns fell out of her mouth within an hour of leaving! Coast Dental never sent a claim to my dental insurance company. I paid $175 upfront. I spoke with my insurance and was told Coast Dental never sent them anything. So, I had to send my insurance the receipt for reimbursement. My insurance also tried and tried (2 diff. people at different times) calling them via 3-way call regarding the visit and they could not get a hold of anyone at this office. NEVER had I had to do something like this. Ridiculous! Also, staff did not introduce themselves except for the front desk lady who was very patient and kind enough to notify me of wait time. We waited 1 hr total since we arrived 20 mins early. The hygienist was not personable, could care less kind of attitude, rude and did not completely do her job. There was no dentist at the office, it was a telemed kind of visit with the dentist which took 1-2 mins. They said they don't have a dentist every Friday. The whole office, staff, with the exception of the front desk person, it was a horrible experience. That will be our first and last visit. I regret we even wasted that one visit there. I believe other reviewers after experiencing this myself because it is all true. I wish I had read the reviews before making an appt. It would've saved me all this trouble. I only gave it one star because I had to. I would give it no star. What a horrible experience with Heather the office manager. There was so much confusion with my health insurance and the coupon I received from them. Coast Dental cancelled my appointment due to thinking I had medicaid. When I explained I don't have medicaid I have private insurance Heather was so incompetent in trying to confirm correct insurance. I have only seen bad reviews. I would stay far away from this place. They told me I needed over $750 (out of pocket expenses) worth of dental care that I knew was unnecessary. To top off the extortion attempt, the hygienist told me I HAD to buy this very specific toothbrush and mouthwash for a condition I don't have. I got a second opinion elsewhere and was told that I don't need any of the things recommended by the staff of Coast Dental. read more

No stars if I could....STAY AWAY! Very kind dental hygienist and Dr., but horrible service. They made my temporary crowns hard as rock and nearly impossible to take off. Came back to get crowns on and "they were not ready, had to make another impression." Came back 3 weeks later and they would not put final crowns on since my dental insurance denied my claims. After paying $1,800 they would not put my final crowns on over $193.00 that my insurance denied. THEY CARE MORE ABOUT MONEY than actual patients. Sad read more

Take this as a warning. Not only does my insurance cover for an exam, cleaning, and xrays, AND I was schedule for all three, they refused to do a cleaning and wanted to charge $400 if I choose to later on. Why schedule me for this if you refused to do it? The best part was how fraudulent Dr. Ghabbour was. I get my Xrays done routinely, hiwever, never at this office. This dentist wanted to tell me that I had 19 cavities - yes, 19! And explained how decayed my teeth were - which was humorous. After they refused the cleaning, which I asked numerous times why, and they explained they "never do that on the same day as an exam"...what?! I asked for a copy of my X-rays for obvious reasons. Of course I'm bringing them back to my regular life-long dentist. They laughed at the xrays and what Dr. Ghabbour told me. There were two cavities. Two. I will never be back. Stay away. This is a corporate chain of dentists and orthos ran by fat-cat business people. They'll do anything to up charge you. Avoid this office at all costs. I first visited the Coast Dental Willowbend office for xrays and an initial examination. Prior to any treatment I requested that a treatment plan with any costs not covered by my insurance by given to me. I never received a treatment plan. I was told that I needed to return the following week for a "cleaning", which should have been covered by the insurance. I had this procedure done, which took about an hour, and when it was done I was given a bill for over $200, with about $600 being billed to my insurance for a "root planing and scaling". I was upset at this unexpected expense, but paid and simply decided to go to a different dentist. On Wednesday December 3, I was examined by another dentist, who advised me that no root planing and scaling had been done, or if it was, it was completely ineffective and I would need another one. He took pictures of my mouth which show months of accumulation of plaque, which would have been gone if an actual root planing and scaling had been done. In addition, I was sent a new bill from Coast Dental yesterday for an additional $40 for irrigation, which they say was not covered by insurance. When speaking with the office manager, she states I received a treatment plan (which I did not) and that the root planing was done correctly (which it absolutely was not). I am filing a grievance with my insurance company and listing poor reviews on every site I can find. read more
