This dentist office was extremely unprofessional and dishonest. I will not be coming here again. I was told that there were several things wrong with my teeth and the cost estimate was going to be several 1000 dollars. I got a second opinion from a family dentist; and found out that I had ZERO issues and only required a deep cleaning. I'm so happy I got a second opinion and did not waste my money getting work done for NO REASON. The hygienist was also asking inappropriate personal questions throughout the visit. I visited this place one time for a simple dental cleaning with dental insurance. They charged me Over $200 at the time of the visit and when I received my EOB from my insurance company I found out they overcharged me by $80+ and when I called them, the lady told me they don't refund overages. If I could leave 0 stars I would do just that! I went in for aligners October 2022 my visit was pleasant the dentist was great, however the front staff is trash the management is trash! There was some sort of miscommunication and I never received the aligners I was paying on after months of not being able to get in touch I requested a refund that was granted. The finance company has already fulfilled my refund however I was told by this establishment that my refund would take 6-8 weeks that was March 2023 ... here we are in July and no refund, the manager has not returned my calls they said that the General manager is responsible for processing the refund but for some reason has not processed mine. No one can give me the contact of this person or even corporates contact information. My patience has run out with this establishment & I am reporting them as fraud to my bank! Horrible place and customer service. I called to make an emergency appointment, the lady said that I could just walk in between 8 am- 5 pm. I printed and filled all the new patient paperwork, left work earlier and rushed to their location, spending 30 min on traffic. I arrived at the Duluth location at 4:34- nobody at the front desk, 10 min later walks in ( from the outside) the front desk lady saying that they are closed and there is nobody that can see me, only a surgeon was there that day. I explained to her what happened and asked if she could see if he could help me since I was in pain. She said he had left ( without even checking). She clearly couldn't care less. Not that it is important but she had leftover food all over the table. I am very disappointed and although still in pain, I would rather take my own tooth out than go back to this place. read more

Stay away from this place. Everything is a scam. They have a fancy website with a clean facility with a top notch equipment, but the reality is nothing like it. This dental office is located in the old Pizza Hut building. XD And they have a new patient coupon for free X-Ray and exam on their site that clearly states that is for people who doesn't have insurance yet, but they don't honor it. They say they have to recalculate the final cost again when you have insurance, blah, blah, blah, whatever. They are just lazy to do their jobs or simply it's a scam. On their site, it says you will get a "nice warm greeting", but it's nothing like it. This front lady argues with you full blast right off the batt with an extremely unpleasant and annoying attitude. Went in for a 2 o clock appt that was scheduled by another coast dental , they didn't see me til around 2:45 sat in the dental chair for another 20 min only to be told they can't get to my tooth today due to them being overbooked. I was of course pissed and upset because I've been battling a wisdom toothache for a whole weekend and was looking for relief finally with them only to be let down. As I began to express my frustrations with both this office and the office on north lake she began to get an attitude with me and tell me she's doing more than what she has to do for me. Wow! I had an appointment for Friday at 1 PM but I had to wait until 1:50 PM to be seen by a technician and had to wait another 45 minutes to be seen by the dentist. The dentist examined my x-ray for like 2 minutes and told me that he does not have time to do anything on my teeth because he is booked for the rest of the day. So after spending almost 2 hours just waiting to be seen by the dentist for 5 minutes, I still walked out of there with a sore and painful tooth, and still had to pay my copay for seeing him. Oh had only someone warned me.... This is the kind of dentist that nightmares are made of. I went in for a simple filling to which I barely had even noticed hot and cold.... It turned into a crown.... then a specialist that I had to drive 3 hours RT to see He refused to work on my tooth due such a badly done crown prep.... Now it's a root canal...Nope now they cant do that root canal cause Dr. Brown of Pleasant hill Coast dental went below the gum line on the crown prep. Now I am going to lose the tooth forever... We will be selecting a new dentist. I have never left a dentist office crying until now. After a tedious hour and a half wait in the waiting room and another half hour wait in the exam room my horrible exam and procedure began. After the actual dentist cut my lip, he left his assistant to complete the temporary tooth procedure. She tugged, mashed and ripped the temporary tooth off and on all the while the numbing agent was wearing off. Since the dentist decided to go home before I was done, there was no one who could administer more numbing agent. So needless to say I will not be returning to this office. read more

I am not one that likes a dentist (prior experience). I had an 8:45 appointment and I was there at 8:30 (to make sure I had all paperwork done and insurance was approved). I waited for sometime! I was getting more anxious. I was finally taken back to the exam room. The assistant was a very nice woman. She was getting ready to take the x-rays. Someone had asked if she could come up to the front for a "minute." Apparently it was take an office photo day. I could hear laughing, someone saying, "Say cheese" and the shutter sound of a camera. 25-30 minutes later she back to room and I was upset and angry. She got the x-rays done and I sat even longer. When the dentist FINALLY got in, he asked me if I had any areas that were causing me issues. I was showing him where I get pain and he says he can see that on the films (in a tone I did not appreciate). Then why ask me. Now anger was overcoming being upset. When he was done with the exam, his assistant said she was going to get the paperwork of all the work that needed to be done. She came back 20-25 minutes later and the estimate WITH my "insurance" was over $7000! I was told what the total of this visit was and paid almost $100. The woman that does the insurance said that everything else would be covered by insurance.I walked out of the office about 11:30/11:45. 4 months later I get a bill in the mail from them saying that I owe for x-rays (not the first complaint about being charged for x-rays that were "supposed" to be covered). I called them to ask about the bill (OVER a week ago) and have yet to hear a word from them! read more

Stay away!! They scamming people out of money. I had appointment to get my wisdom tooth extracted and I called the day before to see if they took my insurance. The lady said the did. I get there finally get to the back and one lady tell me it's cost $385 say my insurance only cover $110. So they do a credit application (which I never heard of for a dentist office) to see I approved to get it done today. I was denied. After she came back with the application paper I noticed they ran my credit for $8,000 why would they do that when my bill is only $385. I left upset and in pain. This is the MOST TERRIBLE dentist office that I have been to in my 39 years. The staff is okay, but their billing practices are horrible. The staff kept telling me that they charged me incorrectly. Renee @ Coastal Dental even told me i would receive a refund. A few weeks later, I got a bill for an additional $478 after already spending $1700. Renee has told me for months that it would be corrected; meanwhile, I received another statement showing past due. Again, this has been going on for months...since August 2017. I don't like dealing with companies that have accounting/billing issues. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE. The experience that I am still dealing with has been a nightmare. read more

This place is a fraud. My mother just wanted the basic cleaning covered by her insurance. They ended up charging her more than $100 and billed the insurance for over $1,100 which they denied and sent home another bill for $100. You are not getting a penny more and I am going to sue you and report you to the fraud department. Your days are numbered! Don't let me see you again! read more
