With my first time at Coast Pizza, I would summarize my visit as having convenient ordering, fast service, a warm welcome from the owner, and quality food ! Online ordering made it easy to customize and order pizza for take-out or delivery. The menu has only a few options of types of pizzas but, to me, that just means they focus on the quality of what they serve. For my first time, I decided to try their most popular ones: potato & caramelized onion pizza and the Great White (with added pepperoni). Our pickup eta was 20 minutes! When you get there, there's a small parking lot and a pick up window (no where to sit since it's meant to be take-out only). The owner greeted us with his warm and calm demeanor even though it was so hot (hot outside being 85 degrees, as well as hot inside from the ovens in such a small space). While waiting for our order, we spotted the fresh focaccia that looked to be toasty and pillowy and smelled incredible! So we threw on a last minute order on their iPad (made for walk-in orders) for focaccia and added their homemade garlic ranch and homemade spicy Calabrian ranch. If you like thin crust, this is your pizza. If you like a crust that holds up and yet isn't dense, this is your pizza. The flavors are outstanding. The focaccia was as amazing as it looked. Both ranches were delicious as well. As someone who eats a lot of spicy, the spicy Calabrian ranch wasn't spicy for me at all, but had a nice flavor different from the garlic ranch. The meal was a hit with the entire family. 10/10 would recommend supporting this local business creating top-quality pizzas! read more

I knew this pizza was going to be good and needed to try it as soon as we got back from our trip. Here's the story. My coworker sent me an Instagram reel last week about this new pizza spot in HB, and right away I told my husband it looked exactly like another pizza place we're regulars at. We made a mental note to try it when we got back. When I went to order online today, I noticed the menu looked very familiar... including the pie we originally fell in love with: the Burrata, Garlic, Calabrians & Caramelized Onion. Turns out, I learned today that the owner started the other spot too. HB is definitely farther for us since we live in Lake Forest, but luckily I work not too far from here. Coast Pizza is delicious! Met Paul today to pick up our first much anticipated pie. We talked about fermentation, confit garlic, jammy caramelization of onions and good bread. Anticipation was worth it. The pie was very good. The crust was crackin and crunch and chew were spot on. My 7 year old who is a cheese afficianodo was thoroughly enjoying his pep and buratta slice. I stumbled on Coast Pizza while doing my usual insomnia late night pizza deep dive. I could tell by the photos something amazing was about to happen. It's a brand new little spot with one guy running the whole show. Started chatting (super nice guy) and found out he used to run B+C Pizza, that incredible place tucked inside the bakery in Laguna Niguel. I'd had B+C exactly once and it blew me away, but I live in HB so I never made it back. When he told me that, my brain pretty much short circuited. He said this place is a bit different.... different oven, etc. I think he's right because this was even better than I remember. All of the toppings were next level... but the crust is the whole story. Organic flour, top tier everything, and it eats like a high end bakery baguette. Red sauce had bianco tomatoes and the dough was made with central milling, good stuff. Thin crispy dough, no flop. The crust was also very light and airy. Sauce was flavorful with a nice bite. Didn't know what to expect when I saw this place on yelp. I needed to pick something up after work. Luckily, Coast Pizza was around the corner from my house. The online ordering made it easy for me to swing by on my way home. The made from scratch sourdough crust was amazing. I would definitely recommend getting the house made ranch. It complemented the pizza very well. I was able to put down 4 slices with ease. The price is for each pie was a little expensive, but what can you expect when you're getting fresh ingredients and take the time to perfect a sourdough crust (not easy). That being said, i will definitely be back to try the others! After looking the place up, the owner of Coast Pizza has worked at many decorated pizza shops around the world.
