Yesterday I spoke with Terri at P&T Restoration (Oceanside, CA) and this morning her husband Phil came out to inspect a potential water leak and mold problem in our Master Bedroom and bath area. Wow, Phil is super knowledgeable. While he was checking for moisture with both his probe and infra-red meter he was teaching all about mold and mold remedy. He inspected both the inside and exterior of the home. He made several recommendations about exterior sprinklers and utilizing an interior fan to better circulate the air. After his analysis he confirmed we had no water leak and our problem was simply a matter of moisture coming from the outside air and getting into a confined closet. We do not have mold and there is nothing more we need to do to fix a problem. Phil is 100% honest and very reliable. I encourage people who have a water leak, mold or moisture problem to put this company at the top of the list for people to call. This company is a rare find. They are honest, organized, and have the exact work ethic that one looks for. We called P & T Restoration after discontinuing our relationship with a contractor who was, to us, obviously over charging. With this being said, we were left unsure about future endeavors and who to trust. After shopping around for comparable estimates, we called P & T Restoration around 5pm about the possible mold situation and asked for an estimate; they were at our front door by 5:30pm. In the end, all their on site testing was negative and they did not charge a cent. This is integrity at its best. I'm in the military and had a rental property in Oceanside. There was water damage in the home and my PM informed me that they had a vendor head out and quoted me over $3,000 for water damage restoration. I have asked my PM to see if there were any vendors with quotes since it was pricey. They did not since that was the PM preferred vendor. So I reached out to various vendors to get some quotes. I googled several restoration companies in the area and one of them was P&T. They head out to the property and provided me their estimate. They noticed additional infrastructure water damage that the other vendors did not notice and provided a quote lower than the one my PM provided me. They immediately start working on this project and completed it within a week. When I called again to pay for the final bill, Terri asked if I was in the military and knocked off a percentage from the total bill. We noticed a leak under our bathroom sink and thought we may have possible mold. We called P&T and I was able to talk to someone and explain my concerns, she told me Phil would call me to schedule time. Phil called me back within 10 mins and said that he could come take a look day of. We have a newborn and I have very bad allergies so it eased my mind knowing he would be able to come and take a look at it. He was professional and so nice. We had some water damage on the ceiling in our garage after some heavy rains. I was concerned after some mold spots developed so I submitted a Yelp RFQ to P&T Restoration. They promptly returned my message and set up a time to come out and inspect. Upon seeing the mold, Phil assured me there was no serious concern and sprayed some fungicide into the ceiling for us. Anyone else agree that good customer service is pretty hard to come by these days? That is why I am writing this review because Clint from P&T restoration was excellent to work with. From the moment he came over to take a look at our pretty serious slab leak, he was very friendly and professional. He assessed all the water damage and told me what they had to do in order to stop mold and further damage to our walls. He was straightforward and honest in the work that needed to be done in order to remediate the damage. They tore down our kitchen cabinets and cut out drywall to get rid of all that water damage, and used big dehumidifiers to help suck out all the moisture. I was impressed by how fast Clint and his partner Tino got the job done, and they were also very clean. They brought in a vacuum to help keep the dust from tear down at bay. My husband and I have never had to deal with a very serious slab leak before and our insurance would not cover it. That being said, their price for the entire job was honest and fair considering a different company was about to charge us wayyyy more than what we paid. I'm happy with the work they did and I would use them again if I ever needed to. I definitely recommend this company! read more

Over the past 20 years I've used various restoration companies to repair water damage caused by leaks at both my residence and my rental property. I wouldn't recommend any of them. Two weeks ago my tenants discovered water leaking from the ceiling at my rental property. I found P&T Restoration online and decided to use their services based on the many excellent reviews. I'm so glad I did. They were ready to start remediation the minute I called for help and they responded immediately when my tenants discovered a second (unrelated) leak two days after the first one. After Phil set up the equipment he and his team checked the progress on a regular basis. They removed the equipment as soon as the place was dry, rather than leaving it for weeks as other companies have done in the past. In addition to their responsiveness and competence, they are definitely some of the friendliest people I've ever done business with. I needed a specialist to checkout a bad odor in my guesthouse. P&T sent out someone in 45 minutes to check it out. The specialist assessed the problem, checking for moisture and mold and concluded the odor was a dead animal. This is by far the worst, unreliable company I have ever had to deal with. They demolished my entire kitchen and left it destroyed for weeks with missing cabinets plumbing that doesn't work no stove. They basically destroyed the kitchen and refused to come back and put everything back together after the mold testing results had come back. It is going on a month now. My insurance is willing to pay for the work but the guys at restoration 911 is not able to complete the work because they have damaged the kitchen beyond repair. We had a hot water slab leak that damaged the drywall in our kitchen, bathroom and hallway and on top of that we had mold growing. It was a super stressful situation. After 7 inches of rain in two days, our brand new carpet was thoroughly soaked. Phil and Tino were there within 30 minutes of our call, assessed the situation and went to work. Restoration 911 was called in when two upstairs drains broke, creating a two-story mess, complete with mold. The process involved removal of cabinetry in the kitchen and master bath, removal of drywall, drying the damaged area, and treating the mold. All was done in a fully professional manner. Tino is a total pro and a pleasure to work with. He was in constant contact with me and never missed my call or question. He, Clint and his crew treated me like I was a family member, walking me through the whole process and dealing with our home owner's insurance directly. My experience with Restoration 911 was very similar to the rest of the folks writing reviews here. My house flooded just before the Fourth of July holiday, initially appearing to have flooded in an upstairs bathroom and leaking below. What made less sense was how the water also carried all the way to the other side of a very long house. As with others, Phil sensed the stress this was causing and arrived in a very short period. After identifying the initial issues he methodically worked to figure out the cause of the spreading water, going through an attic with narrow crawl space and a roof not easily reached. He identified that a gutter on the roof had completely clogged, backing up the water we got from the rain in that period. He then noted the areas water had seeped through in the seams of my flat roof, leading to water in several walls and up to 85% water saturation. Within a few days Phil and his group had completely dried out the affected areas, eliminating the concern for mold in our house. With an insurance deductible of $10,000 and this coming out-of-pocket, our situation could have been much worse. It's also worth noting Phil took extra care to assist on affected issues related to the flood and outside the scope of his ordinary business. I wholeheartedly recommend Phil and Restoration 911 to anyone encountering this type of difficult situation with water damage. They are very pleasant to deal with and true professionals! Got an estimate for mold removal. They removed the mold by tearing out the wall, then left with the wall un-repaired and stated that this would be a separate charge to fix the damage. Shady business practice. There is no way an honest salesman would give an estimate for only half the work in order to get you to commit, knowing the full job would need to be done and forcing you to pay again for a necessary second half of the work. read more

First of all, I agree with Kathy T. I would give Restoration 911 a higher rating if possible. You deal with Phil and Terri Brown, the owners of the business. They are a dynamic team. Phil arrived within an hour of being contacted regarding a leak under the kitchen sink that had soaked several bottom cabinets.This referral came from our plumber. Phil is very personable yet professional. He took pictures and meter readings. He installed an air scrubber and dehumidifier. Phil offered detailed information and answered many questions regarding what was necessary. I contacted our insurance. Obtained a claim number and adjuster's contact info. Relayed that information to Terri. Terri is a joy to work with and keeps everything on track and everyone on the same page. Phil met our adjuster at 10 am the next morning to relay details of corrective action needed. Phil really was our advocate in this process. Tino, a 911 employee called the next morning to be sure he would not be a bother if he came early to box up kitchen cabinets. That's great customer service. Phil joined him and they filled the boxes they had brought to store our kitchen items in. Protective floor covering was installed. Cabinets dismantled. Sink, dishwasher and stove disassembled. Heavy duty plastic was erected to keep kitchen area sealed. They did leave a means for us to access the microwave and refrigerator. The air scrubber and dehumidifier were staged. The entire area was as clean as a whistle when they left. This was the Friday of Labor Day Weekend. Insurance required an asbestos test. Terri coordinated that. Due to the holiday, it could not be done until Tuesday. I contacted her early Tuesday to inform her I had not been contacted by the company she had scheduled with on Friday. She had another company at my door within the hour. We received a negative report by early afternoon. Phil came at 4 pm and cut out necessary drywall and disengaged machines. We are now on to phase 2, the rebuild. I can only hope this goes as well as our experience with Restoration 911. This team knows their stuff. Quick, Clean and Efficient! what more can you ask for.
