Decided to try a new place for Mother's Day and it did not disappoint. Starting from the view walking in, it was gorgeous. My mom and I can't wait to go back and sit outside for a drink. The food was delicious. I ordered the lobster Benedict and it had tons of lobster. My mom ordered the burger and she said it was one of the best burgers she's had. Service was great as well! My only complaint is the layout inside - you end up sitting very close to your neighbors, and can hear their entire conversation. read more

We stopped in for cocktails and a snack. I'm so glad we did! Cocktails were exquisite! We had the Bread and (not your boring old) Burrata. It was a fresh and creative take, with charred ramps and avocado that made me excited for burrata again. And the focaccia is Amazing! The cocktail menu exudes that same creative twist as well. They make a proper Carajillo style espresso martini so if you're looking for that Basic B crap look elsewhere. Our server was great. Very knowledgeable! My husband thought the plate of meats and cheeses should have included at least one soft cheese rather than all hard and somewhat dry ones. Had a fabulous dinner at the newly opened Trident Inn in Ogunquit with the highest view possible! Scottie Vogel has done it again, completing the trifecta of amazing restaurants, all with such different, wonderful vibes. Chef Randy De Vaga brings his Louisiana influence to the Coastal Alchemist restaurant which now resides at the Trident Inn. We ate there when it was on Shore Rd for their special dinners and experienced the most eclectic courses with tastes from around the world that Randy prepared. The cocktails they created, and still create, are most likely concoctions you've never heard of that are all amazing. Randy didn't disappoint tonight. I loved his awesome Ahi Tuna Poke Crisps, which were delightful. Chris and I had the Low Country Shrimp and grits, bringing his Louisiana roots home to Ogunquit. The shrimp were so big I'll be able to have the rest of them for lunch today. All shared the Bread and Burrata and I loved the fiddlehead fern addition. Yummy! For dessert, the Black Banana Beignet with ice cream was so amazing. It had a smokey wonderful flavor, which I loved. The sliced bananas had been frozen in ice cream with a beignet topping it. So good! A great way to end the meal. The Trident Inn has one of the best views in Ogunquit. You can see the bustling town below and both The Front Porch Piano Bar & Restaurant and Crew OGT, Scottie Vogel's other restaurants. The ocean horizon appears so much higher than any other view you'll see in Ogunquit. You can see the waves on the beach and the beautiful purple hue that comes with sunsets here. My two friends and I started to venture up on our journey and arrived at an oasis atop a mountain. Little did we know what this adventure had in store for us. A beacon of sunshine pointed us in the direction of the Coastal Alchemist. We forgot our hiking gear but luckily stumbled upon a staircase. We started our ascent and upon arrival to The Coastal Alchemist, we were greeted by a fluorescent pair of sisters. We felt the sun gleam upon our pale flesh and chose to sit on the balcony due to our thirst to bask in the suns rays. The two sisters, Molly and Ava, both gazed upon us with their ocean blue eyes and silently communicated that we could not continue our lives without the succulent taste of white wine. We ended up deciding that the only way we could survive on this earth is if we ordered an entire bottle of Sauvignon blanc. The girls proceeded to bring us three wine glasses, paired with our bottle of white wine. They were gracious and generous and poured wine into our empty glasses. I felt my heart beat out of my chest as I faced the anticipation of tasting this wine for the first time. It would be simply impossible to put into words the feeling that I felt when I took my first gulp of that divine fermented grape. The three of us were basking in the suns rays and enjoying the "Wildsong" wine when ALL OF A SUDDEN, a coastal breeze thrusted upon us, chilling us to the core. Our nipples hardened until they were erect. We felt a chill course through our veins and felt a desire for warmth. We asked the serving sisters if we could move indoors and they happily obliged. We went in and sat at this wonderful table and felt the beacon of a neon sign as it shined down upon us. The green neon sign read "Goodnight Ogunquit" even though it was midday. We were enjoying the ambiance when a ghost approached us and moved my friend's wine glass across the table. The vibes were phenomenal and the wine was splendid. We didn't get any food this time but know we will be back for more. The bar even had a humongous trident that we were able to grip in our palms. I felt myself transform into Poseidon as I posed for a photo holding this nautical weapon. The serving sisters took our photo. They may not know it, but that photo will be a memory that we hold and cherish for the rest of our lives. We will always be blessed by the memory of our first trip to the Coastal Alchemist. We are already on our way back. I recommend this place to anyone who drinks or eats. read more

My friend and I were having a girls day. We were hungry but also wanted to have a nice bevie and sit outside. Our sweet server Elizabeth gave us some wonderful recommendations for a drink that hit the spot. My friend got a pumpkin martini (lite, sweet, but not too sweet, and delicious). I got a gin cocktail with lavender that was perfect. The food came next! It was brought out by the chef himself who was so kind and clearly very gifted. We decided to share the burrata, tiny Cubans and the street corn dip. Im still dreaming about all of them!!!
