Went back to Feiles after 10 years. Was able to get a reservation over the phone the day before no problem. We had the small Caesar salad again delicious ! I had the crab stuffed haddock with mashed & asparagus yum! My husband had the baked haddock with ritz cracker crust, unfortunately it was dry, probably should have been baked in butter as was stated on menu & served in a terrine. Yet again the bread pudding with ice cream was AMAZING! Don't go without having it, & share it's a big portion! We went on a Friday and it was karaoke, very entertaining & fun night! Will come back again will have to try the shepherds pie next time. read more

We went to Feile's Restaurant on Saint Paddy's Day and could not be more pleased with our selection. The dining area was decorated in green Shamrocks making the atmosphere very "Irish," exciting, friendly, family, fun. The food was of course delicious. We several appetizers and drinks before our meals were served. We ordered corned beef and cabbage (of course), a Reuben sandwich and fish and chips. All were cooked perfectly and thoroughly enjoyable. The music was great and lead to a most memorable dinner. Thanks to everyone at Feile's, we won't forget our Saint Paddy's Day celebration! read more

Sadly, I can only give Feile 3 stars. And that many is because I have a soft spot in my heart for it! We began coming here 2 times a year with friends on our traditional trips to the beaches. We have excellent meals and friendly service. The service is still up to par, but the food is not. They have cut way back on their menu recently. There used to be several entrees to choose from. Now it is typical pub fare at best. I ended up getting the corned beef dinner. The entire meal was completely tasteless and watery. It was so disappointing. We came back one more time recently and I had a sandwich. Not sure what kind. It was good but they put a huge pickle spear on the plate that totally soaked the bread. I had to deconstruct the sandwich in order to eat it. I think we'll have to take Feile off of our list! read more

Our party of 4 decided to have dinner at Feile Restaurant and Pub in Wells, Maine. The place was packed and a band was playing. We waited a few minutes for a table and were seated in front of the band and near the back door which there was a very cold draft from the door being left open. There was also someone smoking pot at that door. I ordered a cup of clam chowder. The broth was super think a bit discolored as it must have been sitting in the warmer for quite some time. It was served with 2 small slices of toasted bread. I wondered why the bread was served -- probably because they ran out of oyster crackers. It tasted OK but not great -- lets just say edible - a 2.25 out of 5. No napkins or utensils were on the table. Fish and Chips -- 2 of us ordered the Fish -- the batter on the fish was very, very dark. We thought, the oil they are cooking in must be old. One bite and WOW -- it was old. It had an odd taste and the fries tasted the exactly like the fish batter. I thought I'd just eat the fish without the batter - seemed to me that it was overcooked and perhaps it had been frozen and had freezer burn. The coleslaw was warm. When the waitress delivered our dinners no utensils on the table -- we had to wait for her to get them while our food was getting cold! The cheeseburger that was ordered was supposed to be medium cooked. It was very well done - no pink at all, the French fries had the same old frying oil taste as with the Fish and chips. Corned beef and Cabbage. Who ever serves this dinner with mashed potatoes? It is always served with boiled potatoes. Well, it was mashed potatoes and it was instant potatoes - the kind in the box!! The corned been was so salty and the cabbage was cold. not even a third was eaten. The waitress never asked how our dinner was. Never brought water to us as we had asked in the beginning or our order. Not one of us ate 1/2 of our dinner. We had to flag the waitress down to get the check. She finally took our credit cards and disappeared for several minutes. She dropped off the receipt but kept the cards. We had to hunt her down again to get our credit cards back! By far, this is the absolute worst restaurant dinner EVER. I can't believe that the place was as packed as it was. People must have been drinking more than eating. We did notice that other folks had left significant amount of food on their plate. They mustn't have like their dinner either! I am giving this restaurant a 1 because I have to to rate it. But, honestly it doesn't even deserve a 1. Beware -- the food is beyond gross! The service was pretty bad too! read more

This was the first open restaurant we came to after getting off the highway. I'm glad we did, it's a nice cozy place, clean, and with clean restrooms, with warm water! We were seated right away and our server came promptly. In fact, service was quick the entire time we were there. The French onion soup was delicious, deeply savory, not too much bread or cheese, and thick with lovely caramelized onions, nearly like a stew than a soup. I enjoyed my haddock sandwich and fries. Everything except the bun was homemade. Though I like my fries more crispy, and the tartar sauce tasted more like mayo than not, I can't complain. He thoroughly loved his bangers and mash, the sausage was authentic. The carrots that came with it were tender, but not mushy. I definitely recommend this place! read more

We come here annually on our trip to Wells with our family. This time the food was really bland and kind of gross. The crowd was good, the vibes were good, the food was just kind of gross. They had live karaoke coming on and the crowd definitely picked up once that started. I will definitely go back for drinks and entertainment but will likely stick to one appetizer maybe. read more

While the seafood dinner my wife & I had were ok, I was shocked by the paltry portion of mashed potatoes. This is certainly bewildering given this is an Irish pub/restaurant and I think potatoes are grown in Maine. Won't be retiring to Feile any time soon. read more

Cool pub - skip the food. Been here two times and love the pub environment, but the food is sub par. Went with a party of four and 3/4 did not like your meals (all three had seafood). Good place for a beer and an appetizer but expect a below average meal. I'd eat elsewhere and go here for a drink after. read more

Stopped in today for the first time. Great atmosphere in the Irish pub with a very friendly staff and Sunday NFL on the TVs. I ordered a Guinness draft (which was served in a cold glass) and the "that guy burger" for lunch. The Guinness was a perfect pour complete with a shamrock impression in the foam head. Now who names a burger "that guy burger"? Someone who knows what they're doing, that's who. Perfectly cooked to my liking with blu cheese, fresh mushrooms, crunchy string onions and an aioli that made me smile with every bite. Fries were my choice for a side. What I didn't expect was that they were fresh cut from whole skinned potatoes. Talk about flavor! Let's just say, I had a fantastic lunch and I'm definitely going back to try a few other items on the menu that got my attention. read more

Had dinner with friends here tonight. So thankful they take reservations. Most restaurants in the Kennebunk area do not. Nice variety of pub food and drinks. Fish and chips had very nicely cooked fish and delicious homemade French fries. Fish tacos were very good, pretty spicy. Didn't get 4 stars due to a couple annoying flies in our dining space and our server was only friendly when she gave us the bill. Honestly, it was the only time she smiled at us. read more

We kept driving by Féile on our quest for good eats, and everything else was either closed for the season or had a line out the door. We decided to just go with the Irish restaurant that we passed twice and we were most certainly not disappointed. After walking in, we were seated in the dining area within seconds. The pub looked packed and I wanted to surprise my wife with an impromptu date since she made the trip to Wells with me in the first place. We ordered the crab cakes with chipotle aioli off of the daily special menu for an app. We all but licked the plate clean. The chipotle aioli was absolutely amazing and the perfect level of spicy. Next up were our Reubens. We each subbed the coleslaw for sauerkraut and never looked back. The corned beef here is perfection! Braised for 6 days and then slow cooked for 7 hours..then generously stuffed between two slices of marbled rye. This is the stuff you can usually only get if you make it at home, and the "not red deli!" note on the menu should not be heeded as a warning, but more of an advertisement that this is not store bought deli corned beef, this is what your nana would make for Easter dinner. We each could only eat half, but I'm looking forward to the other half of my Reuben for lunch tomorrow if my wife doesn't get to it first. I also want to note that for some silly reason, people regard Irish food as bland. Perhaps it's the staple ingredients, I really can't say. But what I can say is that Féile took me back to meals we enjoyed in Dublin and Galway: absolutely, positively NOT bland, seasoned with love, and best enjoyed with a pint of Guinness. We will definitely be back here soon, either to watch sports in the pub, or to enjoy more of the menu. read more

Second time going to this restaurant. First time it was good this time not. two people in our group ordered the special of steak tips. When dishes came out and they cut into the tips they were Raw not rare. Sent them back to the kitchen came back out pretty much in the same condition and were now lukewarm. Service was slow and sporadic. Very disappointed since we had brought out-of-state guests with us. Not planning on going back for quite awhile if ever. read more

I first rated this 1 star but years later I have returned and enjoyed the offerings! The beer taps are filled with locally crafted beers.. The special menu is the way to go. The regular menu is pretty boring. I really wish they would do more specials the small plate specials they have some times are great! I wish the whole menu was like this... Came here this week with wife and baby to eat and watch some Irish music. We were really looking forward to it ! Too bad it soured immediately when we walked in and the host clearly was uncomfortable seating us with the baby. Continued to struggle because it took 10min for a waitress to even acknowledge us and when finally approached I made a comment that I was hoping someone finally came to see us she gave a rude remark back. I'm a former waiter, it takes a lot for me to be upset at a restaurant, but by this point it was not going well at all. Onto the food. I got the rachel Ruben sandwich. What I got was not what I was expecting. The corned beef was just brisket. Which was not bad by any stretch, it was delicious, but it was straight up southern brisket and not prepared corned like I expected. Meat was piled high and the fries were delicious. Had to eat with knife and fork ! Sandwich was good. Wife got prime rib which looked great but it was on the rarer side which made for tough chewy eating. She asked for medium. Experience with waitstaff precluded us from sending it back. Irish music was great, not too loud for baby even and we were very close. We would go back, as this place has great potential and both of my issues are inherent ones we could have experienced anywhere. But nonetheless I can't rate higher than 2 because of them. read more

A patron approached that had been waiting and also was told "no idea how much longer. We noticed empty tables in the pub so we asked if we can just sit in the pub, which we would preferred the pub. There's been a bit of a decline in quality of food. I come every year during the summer, always order corned beef and cabbage. This year... yuck. I've never had such a bland brisket in my life. It's like what you would get at a really cheap bbq restaurant, only without the bbq to make it less dry, and boy was it dry too. Im not sure if it's a new chef or if they're just trying to use cheaper ingredients or what. We also got the shepherds pie and that was bland as well. The really weird part? When I asked the waitress for some help because I didn't like it and wasn't sure how to fix it, she kept saying the same sentence: "you ordered the corned beef and cabbage." I cant understand what good she thought pointing this out would do. Obviously I ordered it (and was quite sorry I did). The problem I had was that it tasted bad. She seemed mad, said it was because it had been under the warmer (not sure how that would affect the seasoning but I wasn't going to argue). We had already gotten drinks and an appetizer so it's not like we were being cheap. She ended up bringing au jus, which helped with the dryness, but the flavor was still just... disappointing. Bottom line, you'll probably be fine with drinks and an appetizer. The entrees are not worth it at all. read more

My husband and I used to love Feile. We always had a great meal and it was our "go to" restaurant. The past couple of times we have gone, we haven't been very pleased. Tonight made up our minds not to return again. My favorite dinner was the mac and cheese with a side of fries. I was blown away when I saw that the mac and cheese was $18.99 and a side of fries was $6.99, so $26 before tax for Mac and cheese and fries. Absolutely ridiculous. I've been told there are new owners now. They jacked up the prices and lowered the portion size. I went on my first date with my husband to Feile so it's sad that we won't be going back. We stopped here for dinner last night, and what a mistake. First of all, any restaurant that doesn't put prices on their menus is very suspect. But what about the food? The infused hamburger was tasteless, and the supposed infused ingredients almost undetectable. The grilled brussel sprouts had so much salt that they were inedible. The apple pie seemed to have been made of apple flavored sugar water. Only the simple green salad passed my taste, and it was actually a free substitution for the fries that usually come with the hamburger. Needless to say, I'll not be returning. There are so many good Irish restaurants with food and atmosphere that really delight. read more
