While the quantity was a bit limited, the quality of the bottle shop selection was very strong. I picked up a few big stouts including an angry chair collab and a Bo and Luke. The B and L has been on my wish list for years and I've never been able to find a bottle or can. The service was kind and quick. They had about ten beers on tap with a nice variety of styles and a focus on NC brewers. The seating was great inside and outside. This is a great little craft beer bar with a selection of drafts from NC that are clearly handpicked with great care, not famous ones that are easily available at my local Total Wine & More in Myrtle Beach. Friendly bartender and a very relaxed vibe including outside tables, and a nice soundtrack. It's a small place but was not crowded on a hot late Saturday PM - there are specials on some other weekdays. A fine selection of interesting beers for purchase as well, and some beer books to peruse while drinking. It's walking distance (say 1000 feet) from the main T-junction in Calabash and there's also a sushi restaurant which is good right across the street. read more

I've been visiting Ocean Isle Beach for a week every summer since 2013 and every summer, I've either grabbed beer from Lowe's and been very put off or traveled with my beer for an entire week since I couldn't find decent beers. This year, I was told to check this place out. I looked them up online and their menu was VERY helpful (full listings of crowlers/growlers, cans/bottles, with pricing and Untappd ratings, etc.) I was able to see everything they had and put together a bit of an order to check them out. I sent them a message on Facebook and they responded instantly (around 9 or 10 in the morning.) To top it off: they handled EVERYTHING contactless and they were friendly the entire time. I'm stoked to see new businesses like this get off the ground and handle the the hand they've been dealt (COVID) with such mastery. This is one of my very favorite spots to stop whenever I come to the Carolinas for Craft brew. Paul the owner is an amazing person and his wife is sweet as pie! They work with a bunch of breweries around North Carolina and elsewhere while keeping an amazing stock of rotating brews on tap and 6 packs in their cooler as well. They have an incredible deal with mixing a variety of 6 packs where you can get 10% off as well on certain days where you can get a discount on growlers. That they also have a crowler machine that you can use to take a 32 oz draft home if you choose! I have never been disappointed and enjoy coming here everytime! read more

This is a new and welcome establishment to our area that is already fitting in nicely and I think will definitely succeed. The shop is run by a very friendly and knowledgeable young couple (Paul & Beth) who specialize in bringing beers here that are seasonal, rare, or previously unavailable in our region. You can enjoy your brew by the pour or half pour and/or get it to go in a growler (theirs or bring your own) or crowlers (great for on the go) from a state of the art 20 tap draft system. They are also a great bottle shop with selections from all over NC to California and Maine. You can build your own 6 pack (10% off) or pick out a special bomber. Paul is a detail oriented guy, the entire shop is super clean and everything is organized neatly. You can tell that he and Beth truly enjoy what they are doing and it creates a great atmosphere. read more

Must say, a Very Welcome addition to the Calabash area. First visit was to round up 2 growlers filled with Highland Black as Christmas presents; 12/23 was a BUSY time, but I was helped in a timely and quite accommodating manner, and gifts went over WELL!!
