We found this coffee spot on google maps and decided to stop. I am so glad we did. My breakfast bagel sandwich was superb! My husband order the avocado toast and was also very yummy. I took a chocolate chip cookie for the road and it didn't even last out of the parking lot Our cashier was so cute and beautiful she reminded us of Disney jasmine. This is a MUST visit along the 101! If you are called honor that calling, there is a reason. This is a very special place filled with love and the most beautiful souls. A homey boutique coffee and authentic Filipino food cafe. The coffee was perfect and ended up having some veggie Lumpia! As a vegan who was okay with them being fried with meat product but were fully vegan ingredients deeply appreciated this opportunity. The location is epic! Is it homey yet has many different seating areas to work or connect deeper from. The owner is a living Angel and if you get the pleasure to meet will touch your heart. A really great local coffee house. Located in what looks like a church building or possibly a multi-use office building and shares a wall with a hair salon. Once you enter the main doors, open the first right door and you'll find this coffee shop that usually has an older gentleman who looks like a younger Willie Nelson who may be generous enough to pick up his guitar and play you some tunes while you drink your coffee. The coffee is great, they sell locally brewed beans, and their Ube scone is very delicious, almost more cronut than scone. The quiche is wildly popular and sells out within hours, so try to get here early to try one out. There's abundant seating inside and parking outside, as well as a well-kept restroom in the back right corner. Also, they have breakfast burritos on thursdays only, so get them while you can! read more

Fantastic coffee, delicious pastries, great customer service. The reviews don't lie. Moreover, the owner is just the sweetest and kindest person. She was making her rounds, chatting with customers, and stopped to pay special attention to an older gentleman in a wheelchair sitting at a table by himself. She asked two other patrons (presumably regulars) if the gentleman sitting by himself could join them, and then proceeded to wheel him over to their table so he wouldn't have to sit alone. I was visiting from out of town but went twice to enjoy their treats - including the breakfast burrito, quiche, breakfast sandwich (YUM bread), ube scone (got that both times), and cinnamon bun. Stopped in for the first time the other day. I noticed out of the blue that Bearded Chef, a previous restaurant in that location, was now Coastal Cups Coffee. I was greeted by the owner Vera Ann and she is delightful. She recommended the Ube Latte which I have never tried and it is my new favorite drink. Also had the turkey pannini and a scone. Been meeting friends here once a month for the pass year and every time we meet here, it's disappointing. Besides the tables being sticky every visit, they are very heavy handed on the syrups which makes the drink completely undrinkable. The chicken salad comes on toasted bread with cold filling. They said there was pear in it but it tasted like too sweet pear syrup... unfortunately, we have decided to take this off our rotation of local meet up locations. read more
