Best oat milk latte I've had! And I've had a few lol. She balanced the drink perfectly!

Unfortunately I can't really review this place because there were so many turn-offs upon entering==the smell was musty and the interior is all old wood and looks dirty, the floor was dirty, a cat was walking around and jumping on everything, and there was only a choice of two pastries that really were not very enticing looking. Don't know that I will go back. Bummer 'cause I live in this small town that does not have much else to offer. read more

I was in town for an errand and her quirky building covered in vibrant colors drew me in. When I opened the door the interior is as welcoming and colorful as the exterior. Kate made me the delicious meatball sub special and a nice chat. This is why I travel. There are nice people and good eats out there! Driving through or local please stop in here. read more

Don't let the charming exterior fool you. This place smells like mold and animals as soon as you walk in. Lots of flies and animal fur on the inside. I would love to be able to give an informative review about the coffee and pastries, but we weren't even able to order as Kate didn't once acknowledge us, instead talking to a friend who had already received her order. I absolutely loved Tasty Kate's! The iced coffee was delicious and I had one of her savory pastries.. It was an... Artichoke thing I don't know but I still think about it and am sad I am so far away from it. She was super friendly and had a baby lamb and let me pet it and it made my year. read more

A live chicken was in a cage on the only table, cat laying on food prep areas in the back, dirty dishes piled high and very slim pickings on bakery choices. We got nothing as there was so little to choose from. I have a cat but I do not let it lay on the counter next to some dough that was in the process of being rolled out/baked. Triple YUCK! My husband and I stopped into Tasty Kate's on our way home from an overnighter at the coast. The place was hopping with locals, the place smelled and looked delicious (you will have to refer to the photos for what "looks delicious" means)! LOL When 1/2 of the table was vacated, we joined the others who were nearing the end of their meal. We had cappuccinos and a cinnamon roll, but our table-mates' meals looked great. The menu for the morning was written on a chalk board. Had a wonderful chat with the owner about the location which is new from relocating across the Hwy 101, the main drag. The whole place just has a funky groovy vibe. She sells locally made food stuffs as well as wine. Will definitely stop again next time we are in town. read more

Kate's Cinnamon Bun is a MUST - probably the best one I've ever had anywhere. She needs to market this stuff and put Cinnabun out of business. Chai here is also pretty freakin' good. I only came here for take out but was sufficiently impressed with the goods and service. A really cool Port Orford spot. read more

We were in town after a kayaking trip and stopped by Tasty Kate's for a quick coffee on the way to our next stop. Although we were only in the shop for a total of about 5 minutes, we loved chatting with sweet kate! She was kind and helpful. The strawberry shrub and tonic was refreshing. Discovered this place today when we were looking for lunch. The special was gumbo and it was very tasty. Kate was so warm and friendly, making us feel welcome in our new community. My only regret was that I had no excuse to try her pastries too! But I will definitely be back multiple times until I have sampled it all :) read more

This place is adorable! When we went, kate only had takeout, but we had a couple of pastries and a couple of lattes. The pastries were absolutely delicious, and the lattes were perfect. The space is really cute, too: lots of interesting things on the walls to look at. And finally, Kate seems like a genuinely warm and kind person. I wish her café were in Seattle! read more

The drip coffee and iced mocha were really good. Kate herself could be a little less surly -- especially given there are Love & Gratitude pins for sale in a basket at the front counter LOL. Kate's is a unique coffee shop inside and out. Covered in art and, drift wood and plants, it offers a great atmosphere near the beach. The coffee is good and Kate is especially nice. No just no..the bad part is most people rember whwn things are good but they dont know rhe back end like the cats all over and several other things...its ok from the outside but dont recomend going in..its not just me when i first got in town over 5 residents told me not to go and to leave town for a good meal..something has to be said for a rep like that..she is a good baker but only at the farmers market durring summer rest of time i would wonder whats in my food.. read more

Cute little coffee house and cafe. Super friendly and patient staff even when you can't decide which route to go. Service was slow but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. An often heard phrase in Oregon say's that "an unplanned delay is a divine intervention, it allows you to learn to savor the moments". Will stop here again next visit. read more

Excellent pastries. My wife and I came in for coffee and one pastry to share. We looked at the pastries and all hope of only getting one fled. Trust me, don't risk your marriage. Buy two pastries. The locals frequent here and the seating is communal. If you're into having conversations with strangers as you eat this is the place. read more

We did a u-turn on 101 because this place caught our eye. With a peace sign painted in the window and lots of character, it called for our '78 Westie to stop. We ended up with two gigantic cones of salted caramel and chocolate with hazelnut toffee ice cream. Incredibly creamy and scrumptious! I would stop here each day if I could. The coffee was a bit strong for me but I added enough cream it was then fine. I had an orange/blueberry pound cake or coffee cake which was delicious and my husband had the apple turnover, both were super good. Conversation was nice with Kate? and another guy who works there plus a customer who had a super good looking breakfast, plate piled high with hash browns, ham and scrambled eggs, bread. read more

Our family rented a home in Port Orford for the weekend to celebrate our parents anniversary. We wanted a special dessert for the celebration and based on Yelp reviews I called Kate at Tasty Kate's. Kate is awesome. She created amazing platters of her delicious desserts for our family to enjoy. They were moist and SO good! We were so happy to find such a tasty place for decadent desserts in this tiny beautiful town. read more
