I used InnoVision in Clearwater and I was pleased with their service. When I moved to Pinellas…read morepark I chose to use this location closer to my new apartment. First, a guy at the counter had an attitude. Second, I used my company insurance to order contacts and but they messed up and kept calling me about it. It seemed unorganized and sad to see the service was so different in a bad way from the one on Clearwater.

I got my first pair of glasses at 6 years old, and frankly - the Near Sighted Fairy has visited with yearly precision every year since then. But enough about me... I am always able to get an appointment promptly. Our insurance information was taken , and the staff handled the rest - no problems at all. The front desk staff has remained the same for the last two years (a good sign, in my opinion) and they are consitently friendly and helpful. The office recently underwent a major rennovation and it's pleasantly warm and comfortable. I have seen two of the three doctors here - most recently Dr. Knighton. My exam was very thorough, and every decision was explained to me clearly. My questions were answered, and I really got the sense that this doctor loves what she does. In just under an hour I left with a pair of trial contacts in my peepers, and a follow-up appointment for next week. I have never felt the sales pressure to buy $300 glasses here, as I have at many other offices. Nor have I ever felt like I was just one of dozens of patients/customers to be ushered from station to station. This office treats every patient with respect and gratitude for their business.

My left eye before surgery was like looking through a cloud; the cataract was so bad. My right eye had a cataract in the beginning stages. I run fishing charters, and depth perception and excellent vision are required for sight-fishing, spotting fish, and "reading the water." The final results of the surgery were excellent. I no longer need corrective lenses, but I always wear polarized sunglasses. The doctor's office and operating rooms were very busy but also super efficient, and getting in and out with my appointments was quick and thorough. The staff was pleasant. I've been back several times for follow-up visits and exams, and the results have been very good, thanks to my surgeries.

When service resumed, only one staff person was 'fitting' people who'd finished their exams. I had to alert the desk that another staff member was available at her desk, but not seeing patients. That staff member spoke to the desk person and told her that "Richard" (me) was next and still I waited. She was pretending to do busy work on her computer. When she deigned to help me, she chatted to her computer, albeit in a charming southern belle parlance, constantly. I was not informed that the annual exam charge was distinct from, in their scheme, the 'contact fitting', until I saw they'd charged my credit card $85 for it, this I saw days later on my card statement. In their scheme my Humana Gold insurance provides ($400) only for the contacts! Bait and switch.
