I had a visit in December ordered glasses and did not hear back from them. I called and left multiple messages to find out that their doors have closed. So I paid for something I'll never receive nor get my prescription. Bad business read more

This business did not accept my insurance but did not tell me up front. They overcharge for lenses and glasses. When I asked for a copy of my prescription, which by law they are to give a copy to the patient at no extra charge, the doctor tried to charge me $400 for it. I quoted the law to her and she became upset with me. She did give me a copy but I discovered later when I went to see another eye doctor that she had left something very important off of the prescription. I informed the new doctor and it was verified that an essential part of my prescription was left out. No doubt on purpose. This doctor made the outward appearance of being nice but underneath she is dishonest. I would never recommend this place as long as she is there. Doctor Garzynski was the best but retired. My rating is based on current business status. I called several times 3-4 weeks ago to schedule an annual visit and even sent an online request but there's been nothing but crickets. Not even sure if the business is still open? Had to schedule with a new provider and requested records but still no call or contact from this business. read more

Horrible experience - I'm a 20 year , loyal patient but recently things have gone down hill. No one answers the phone, you book an appt on line and when you show up, the sign on the door says closed and we will open soon. I hope no one is seriously ill, but you don't run a practice this way. This is for the OD's - Dr. Garcynski 20 years or more they have been my eye doctors. Dr G and his wife. We chat about family, skiing, I am a doc myself so we talked science. I have complex eyeball needs so stuck with the same guy for many years. Always kind until the past 3-4 years - then rude, short, dismissive and just no good for me- with so many choices in optical care. I was frustrated. I have to find me someone new. Recently, I ran out of contacts, called the very nice office staff (they get 5*) ordered more. Arrived to pick them up and guess what? Dr optometrist G and his wife retired!!! Not a single word. There is a new optometrist. I wish them the best-good luck on cleaning up the mess that the previous OD's created. read more

Would give negative stars if I could. Practice was sold to new doctor who can't seem to figure out the basic needs of patients. Front desk has people who are all about making the sale and will charge you unnecessarily for things you don't even need. Very unethical. Practice has gone completely downhill from when prior doctor was there. Clench your wallet and run the other way. read more

Dr.Williams has been my eye doctor for the last few years and she's been amazing. She is very thorough , detailed to a tee and informative. The staff (especially the short young lady-sorry I forgot her name -it was the first time I had met her -maybe Melissa) was amazing. She was professional , very helpful and very friendly . She also taught me a thing or two. I continue to recommend and and keep carrollwood optical as my eye doctor office of choice. Do NOT GO HERE!! They tried to over charge me and Dr. Dennis G. Garzcynski was rude and disrespectful. I walked in to the exam room and gave him my current box of contacts, I explained that as soon as I put them on my eyes dry up. I said when I use the other type of contacts they are not so bad. He immediately told me he would not be prescribing me two types of contacts. Without even examining me, without speaking to me, he told me what he was refusing to do because he needs to make sure he can charge for each one. He kept on speaking about fees as if I was unable to afford the service. I was offended. My previous doctor did that with no problem the same day and as I tried to explain it was because I like to wear both the daily lens and the two-week lens he cut me off and said he would not, and began again to speak about fees. Dr. Dennis G. Garzcynski was rude and disrespectful. He treated me as if I was less than, even when I went to the front to speak to the staff about my experience he rudely interrupted Melissa and I telling me he owned the practiced as if that meant anything to me. I am a licensed professional myself, and would never treat anyone like this. He was more concerned with money that me as a patient. I filed a completed with Humana as he should not be in my network as a provider if he is unable to render services I am eligible for. No one from Humana should be directed there because he is in network, I will see to it that this matter is addressed. He also refused for me to see the other doctor there because as he said, "I own this practice." I will also look into filing a complaint with FLORIDA Board of Optometry for his treatment toward me and to have them look into his concern being more with money than the actual needs of a patient, one he never even examined yet immediately made conclusions and concerned with breaking up my visits so he can double charge me. The entire staff was extremely helpful, interactive, and informative. The entire group is very customer oriented and that is a major plus for medical visits. Doesn't really have a great selection, of frames, so I've just upgraded my lenses each time. So the exam itself is the most important part for me. read more

Very dissapointed !! After going to see Dr. G for almost 10 years. They turned me away yesterday because I was 15 min late for my apt. Now mind you , I've waited way more than 15 min for my apt's to see him ,many times!! I was coming from S Tampa and the traffic was horrible. With everything going on I feel like I should post this review I was sitting in the waiting area a few months ago it was maybe October of last year I was waiting for my friend that was being seen as I waited a Patient asked The optician the tall guy what happened to the Nike display and frames the optician responded they didn't sell so they got rid of them, well I immediately overheard two employees talking about how that optician and Dr G decided to take the Nike frames out of the office after Nike gave kaepernick the commercial even with them always selling those frames the reason because they did not want to support anything that had to do with a POC peacefully protesting and how kaepernick was well these two men apparently called him(kaepernick) all types of names.... these two employees spoke about how sad,frustrated they were of working for people so racist because apparently a lot of comments were made in the process from this optician and Dr and they were tired and were both planning on quitting within the next couple of weeks I hope they did! I stood up and decide to wait in the car for my friend and neither one of us will ever return to this place she was not happy way before I even told her because Dr G was very short and she already felt uncomfortable. Racism is a horrible thing. And I will not spend 100's of dollars on people that had an issue with people trying to get their voices heard PEACEFULLY!!!! read more

Today I had the best experience of customer service ever. If you are looking for a new pair of glasses or an eye exam this is the best place to go. Dr. Garczynski was so thorough with my eye exam, he also recommended some products to take care of my eyes as far as slight macular degeneration and stigmatism.
