Appointment was booked for hearing exam, first audiologist reluctant to remove ear wax, forced to perform as patient insisted no one else could do it. After that told hearing exam would need to be rescheduled for 6 months later, then to top it all off recorded in electronic record the patient refused hearing exam. Business phones down for two weeks, unable to reach or receive response from voicemails left on recording. No notice on website, or through text or email regarding phone issue, thought they went out of business. Waited for over a month for hearing aid battery repair, first told it wasn't on site, then a few minutes later it was in a baggie dated 5 days earlier, granted there was a weekend in there but why not call and say the aid had arrived to come pick it up? after raising all of these issues at the front desk kicked out of practice, but who cares when you run a business like this! there are plenty of other fine audiologists in this region to select from. read more

I was referred here for a balance test. They told me for a month that they were waiting for an authorization from my insurance. I contacted my insurance company and they had never received the referral. When I called back and spoke to Kelly, I was calm but pointed, mainly making the point that I've been waiting a month when they haven't even sent the request in. Obviously I've been in health distress for months at this point, but Kelly started yelling at me, saying that was in response to my aggressiveness. I think she mistook that for my assertiveness as I was trying to get this appointment scheduled so that we can diagnose the problem that I've been having for months. She then canceled my referral and told me that I was no longer welcome in their practice. I have never been treated so horribly by a doctor's office in my life! She caused me so much stress that I had a seizure and my problem got even worse. read more

Incredibly rude front desk that refused to understand bcbs fep hearing aid insurance. After verifying my coverage for repair with bcbs I called back and was again assured it was "industry practice" to not use available insurance for repair.. only towards purchase of new aids. She was unwilling to contact bcbs to verify her misunderstanding. read more

I left the office in tears! This establishment's front office was rude and inconsiderate. I was told over the phone that my appointment was at 3:30pm and to arrive 15 minutes prior. However the day of I received an appointment reminder to come at 3:15pm. I interpreted the text as "me needing to arrive at 3:15 prior to my 3:30 appointment" as stated over the phone. I arrived at 3:14pm, but had to wait a few minutes because someone was in front of me. The receptionist and office manager had a side bar in front of me and refused to see me. I explained and was still dismissed. I even mentioned how much coordination I had to do to make the original appointment. Yet, I was dismissed in a not so pleasant way. She said I could reschedule, but based on my office experience I refuse to be seen by any of their providers. I highly encourage anyone thinking of going to this office to reconsider. I left in tears and I will not be returning. I will also inform my primary care provider to find another office to refer me to. read more

Would never recommend this business. I'm not sure how this business would ever receive a positive review. My 94 year old mother went in last week to have her hearing aids repaired (again, after numerous trips with no results). The office manager was extremely rude and told my mother that she had canceled her appointment (she didn't). She also lied and said my mother had called people names (she didn't). The "office manager" seems to have issues. Also, the office hours do not correspond with what they post. My mother arrived early for appointments, and the office was closed. If you refuse treatment to a 94 year old and lie, you do not need to be in business. At worst, my mother said the "office manager" was mean, which seems to be true. I wish I could give a negative review... Get rid of the "office manager". Customer service is not her strength. read more

I had my first visit to this establishment today. It was the worst experience I have ever had in my life The office manager was so rude and outright verbally abusive that I decided to cancel my appointment before it even began -- right there and then when I checked in. Im not exaggerating! They were recommended by my primary doctor! I will definitely tell him about this. My wife who is also a doctor took me to this appointment could not believe it. I had an appointment and was told to arrive at 12:45 pm, 15 minutes before my 1:00 to provide my personal information and insurance. I arrived on time as witnessed by my wife but the doors were closed and a sign was posted that they would not be open till 1:00. So we came back at 1:00. But as I came in, I was immediately told by the manager that I was late. I told her that I first got the 12:45 as requested but their doors were locked (as I checked) and saw no one inside. I knocked. No one answered. Faced with these facts, she started to be very verbally abusive. I decided to cancel my appointment right there and then and left. Please read a previous review about this establishment which describes the exact the same experience as I described above. I wrote a message to Mr. Engelhardt who I believe is a principal of this business - but have not yet heard back. I hope future readers and potential customers of this establishment read take this feedback seriously before signing up. read more

Great experience! I was having issues with vertigo- Kim was very knowledgeable and caring about making sure I didn't have any underlying issues. The Epley maneuver did the trick, they were very slow and careful and made sure I was comfortable. Highly recommend this office, you can tell they are passionate and caring. read more

Worst medical office I have ever been to. Worst office manager I've ever seen. Very rude, confrontational and badgering. She got highly irate when I asked if my 92 year old mothers hearing check was going to be covered as she has already had one this year. She told me that we don't know until we perform the service and bill her insurance. I'm sorry I've never heard of any medical or Dr's office that does not confirm your benefits first. My mother lives on a very small income each month and waiting for a bill to come in for a large amount of money she can't pay is ridiculous for this office to assume. We waited for 2 months for this appointment and no one contacted us to tell us to pick up my mother's previous hearing test from Eastern VA ENT Specialists. So when I asked if I could call their office to get it faxed over, she stated she didn't know if it would be coming from a reputable audiologist and that her Dr's license could be on the line. Finally, I told her go ahead and do my mothers exam, we will deal with the bill later. She continued to run her mouth saying I was badgering her, stating that she couldn't even promise that they could get a hearing aid for my mother. I said to her on 4 occasions calmly, to move forward with the exam, yet she kept being confrontational and just wouldn't stop. I finally lowered my mask quickly to show her I was smiling in effort to get her to understand I was not upset and continued to ask her to move forward with my mothers exam. At that point she got highly irate and told me to leave her office. All this while my 92 year old mother is crying and upset, because she has looking forward to finally being able to hear for months, again this office manager told us they would not be servicing us and to leave the office. At which point I finally got highly upset and had a few choice words for her as we left. What kind of office manager doesn't diffuse a situation, instead keeps egging on the back a forth unnecessary discussion while I'm trying to difuse her. She should be fired. Her customer service skills are severely lacking. She reminded me of someone who should be working in a construction trailer, dealing with contractors, instead of the medical field where an innocent 92 year old woman just wants the gift of hearing before she dies. I would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy. Maybe within the 2 months we've waited for our appointment, they could have sent over some paperwork to fill out and a "things to bring to your appointment" reminder. Think twice before you take your senior citizen parents to this practice. And to the Dr's in this practice, please give this office manager some education on compassion for the elderly and better customer service skills. read more
