I deeply regret hiring this home inspection company and would strongly advise other homebuyers to look elsewhere. My inspector completely failed to catch major structural red flags -- specifically, the noticeable slope and crookedness of my foundation. These are not minor cosmetic issues. Because this was missed, I am now forced to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for a structural engineer and potential repairs that could have absolutely influenced my buying decision. This is exactly what a home inspection is supposed to protect buyers from. What makes matters worse is the unprofessional behavior from the office staff. Nicole and Tracie were discourteous, argumentative, and dismissive when I reached out with legitimate concerns. Tracie, who claims to be the "Director of Operations," displayed little knowledge of inspection standards, zero accountability, and no interest in resolving the situation. Unfortunately, my experience mirrors what many other reviewers have already warned about. Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions a person will ever make. You need an inspection company that is thorough, knowledgeable, and responsive. This company is none of those things. EDIT: They even replied to my review further proving their lack of expertise - please don't waste your money on this company and find someone who will give you valuable advice. Such as someone who says "we see a slope, get your foundation evaluated by a structural engineer" - rather than someone who doesn't even notice the slope and hides behind the fact by repeatedly saying "we told you there were cracks" when they aren't the same thing. We spent several hours while the inspection was going on yesterday. We have never had such a complete review of the condition of a potential new home, He pointed out several areas that need to be addressed, but more importantly he walked the house with us and our agent pointing out everything he had found, answering our questions and explaining what he was able to do and what prevented him from doing a couple of things (one panel was painted shut, for example). The written report and photos are very useful and we are addressing the deficiencies now. We also learned many things about this house that we had not discovered for ourselves or through the seller. He made sure we had his personal contact information and urged us to call him if we have any questions or problems in the future. Purchased a home in San Clemente and Kyle of Coastal Inspection Services did the inspection before closing the sale. Kyle did a very thorough job, identifying issues that needed attention and made important recommendations that resulted in corrections before we moved in. One of the issues was a problem with the water heater which was a significant safety hazard and we now don't have to worry about it as it is fixed. Kyle went beyond his responsibility by making a few adjustments to the kitchen cabinets that fixed issues and hence did not have to be added to the inspection report.
