This is the best urgent care in Jacksonville. Short wait times and staff who actually care.

I called with questions after my son was seen last week for a virus. The ladies I ended up speaking with told me I had not come in to be seen there despite me confirming the location and giving very specific details of my visit. They refused to answer my questions unless I drove 40 minutes to bring them the paperwork they printed out for me at the visit to prove to them that my son was actually a patient. They mentioned new systems however in no scenario should you ever just not have patients records and be argumentative about it. The questions I was asking did not even require his chart - simply if there was an OTC medicine he could take at his age and weight (that I provided) for his cough/congestion as they did not prescribe one. We will be finding a new practice to use for our son. read more

I posted a review earlier but I wasn't logged in so I'm going to post another one my 19-year-old daughter goes to this place cuz it's Sunday and it's supposed to be urgent Care mind you we went last night at 6:00 and they don't close till 8:00 and they wouldn't take her even though she had bleeding of the eyes and had no idea where it came from that's not the issue at hand the issue at hand is I took her this morning because again she had bleeding of the eyes a rash around her eyes and then the rash spread to her legs took her to Alton memorial hospital last night for six and a half hours for them to not run any tests and just tell me that her blood work came back fine so this morning we went to family urgent Care her provider was rude disrespectful and very before on business like unprofessional when my daughter asked her why she thought that or how she knew that the rash around her eyes had nothing to do with the rash on her leg her response was well I've been working here for 25 years that's how that is not how you speak to a human being let alone someone you're supposed to be taking care of I was not able to go back there I was outside at that moment when they called her name or this that would not have happened I would suggest no one take their family if they care about them to this office and I would suggest if you work at family urgent Care you start screening your employees a little better for a little bit empathy if it's going to be someone working at a place where you're supposed to care about the people you're handling this lady was rude disrespectful and if I could have been back there well things would have turned out a lot different I will continue to write reviews on this place until something is handled read more

My wife brought my son is because he developed a rash on his cheeks and chin and was running a low grade fever around 101°. The lady doc said it was just sunburn. My wife explained he said his ears have been hurting and two spots also popped up while at the doctors in his arms. She took no time to listen to my wife. It clearly wasn't a dang sunburn!? Then as soon as she got home( we live 10 minutes away) I checked his temperature and it went up to 102°! He had a little more rash on his neck. So we did our parent self care and are caring for him. The doc said to bring him back again if his temperature goes up!! They just want the money for each visit. She gave my wife a sunburn care paper!! Where do these people get their medical schooling!? They are to self centered to listen to parents and she was to worried about getting out at closing time. Worst doctor we have ever used!! read more

Took daughter for severe allergic reaction and was told I'd be seen immediately after the paperwork was completed. Once I completed paperwork, waited for about 1-2hr. 3-4 people went in front of us. I wasn't upset because we were walk in. Finally after my child continuously crying and complaining about her swollen face I was told they wouldn't see us because of a 60$ co pay. I asked for a payment plan, I was told no. Complete waste of time. Went to the ER instead, even tho my bills probably higher, we were tookin care of, they got the swelling to go down. Showed up here at 6 PM there website says they close at 8PM on Sunday's. A lady walked out and I was walking up stating they claimed to have too many patients and that they weren't taking anyone else, the lady leaves and as I was getting ready to pull away all the employees come out WITH THERE KIDS, and leave. They just didn't want to work the rest of there shift. And who knew a medical office allowed you to bring your kids to work. read more

I was in horrible pain, i could barely walk. to make a long story short, the doctor tried to prescribe me medication for syphilis and gonorrhea without even testing me for it! she insisted that my husband had been lying to me and that he's cheating on me. all i wanted was something to help with the pain and to figure out what was wrong with me. i left with no answers and an anti bacterial shot that helped with the pain but the infection came back days later. read more

We stopped by for a bad nose bleed to see if they would patch it 4/12/21 around 3 pm. We never even got checked in. The woman at the front desk was on her personal phone talking to someone about letting her dogs out while we stood in front of her with my husband's nose soaking a towel. I get it's not an ER - but Urgent is literally in the name. Apparently the logistics of letting dogs out while on the clock is much more important than the patient standing directly in front of you. We stood there for a while as she continued talking about her dogs to whoever was on her phone. She pushed a note pad at us to fill out random info even though we didn't know if they could even treat the nosebleed and she was too busy with her dogs for us to ask. We walked out and went to the ER to actually be talked to, let alone seen. If you have anything that's even the tiniest bit urgent don't go here, dogs being let out is a much more important priority than patients. read more

This place is slower than molasses but if you can't get in to your regular doctor and you NEED to be seen the day before you leave for vacation, what else can you do? When I got there about an hour after they opened, there were about 5-6 people in front of me so I thought "Hey, this won't be that bad." HA. About 2.5 hours later I was finally called back. I think there was only one doctor working, which definitely slowed the pace. Backstory: I had been coughing for two weeks straight with phlegm but no fever. I pretty much knew that antibiotics wouldn't help, but was curious if they would be prescribed anyway. And I really just wanted/needed some high octane cough syrup to let me sleep at night... So, the nurse was nice enough, but I wasn't impressed with the doctor. 1. She didn't even listen to my chest! She just asked me questions and watched/listened to me cough. 2. I had to argue with her about the cough syrup and practically had to BEG for it--she didn't want me to suppress my cough because I "have to get the crap out." I said "BUT I NEED TO SLEEP." She says "Well how will you hear them [points to my kids] ?" Um, excuse me, but THAT'S MY BUSINESS, THANKS. I did tell her I'd have grandparents around to help out, and it seemed to sway her. But I literally argued with her for three minutes about it. In the end she prescribed some type of tabs that would supposedly help my cough. 3. She heard me wheezing a little and asked if I ever wheezed before. Huh? I said like ever in my life, when I'm sick, or what? She says ever. So I say of course (thinking DUH--every time I get a chest cold?!) so she says she wants me to use an inhaler. Huh? Okay, whatever, on Day 16 I'll try anything. 4. I never even got a diagnosis. Which I didn't even realize until after I got home and my husband asked me what I had. This isn't a critical issue, but it was just strange to me. 5. So I get my drugs at the pharmacy next door and head home, when I get a phone call from the pharmacy saying the doctor just sent over one last prescription. What?! Why wasn't it there when I got my others? Why wasn't I told I'd have to wait for that one? (Come to find out, it was a narcotic that required a handwritten script instead of being delivered electronically...but I should definitely have been told that.) And in the end, the antibiotics did nothing, the tabs did nothing (didn't make me sleepy, didn't help reduce my cough at night), and the inhaler did nothing, so it was all a big fat waste of time and money. read more

It was slower than I expeceted from the time I signed in until I was able to see a doctor. Thus being expected with the high volumes of patients waiting to receive medical treatment, but I was the only one in the waiting room. Dr. Longoria was superb. She was very knowledgeable, compassionate, and had excellent bedside manner. read more

Called the office number from Swansboro all the way to Jacksonville with no answer. Arrived at 7:40pm and the lady at the front desk informed us that we couldn't be seen even though they don't close until 8pm and the waiting room was EMPTY. This is not anywhere noted on their website nor the front door. She informed me the only option for a kid with fever and most likely strep throat was to go to the ER. Really? This office does not care about your child, only about getting off work. Horrible office and front staff! read more

I have been sitting for 3 hours for a physical. Worse service. I can't leave the building and I'm the ONLY ONE IN THE WAITING ROOM

My wife and I went to urgent care to be seen for an ear ache and cold. After waiting there for about 15 minutes a lady by the name Macida came out and told us to leave that she was putting up the sign so that people can see that they are not seeing anyone else. We argued that we were waiting next to the window to check in after the lady in front of us got her paper work for her daughter. Macida told us to go to another urgent care or the ER. The issue is not for the ER but it was for the urgent care. Regardless we cant be seen because our insurance wont cover another clinic. So we will have to wait till the morning. read more

I went to Jacksonville urgent care in November and just got a bill for 271.00 and my copay would be 148.00 after insurance. I called and asked them what it would be for a visit without insurance because I was curious and they told me it was 105.00, so why am i being charged over DOUBLE that amount just because I have insurance for the exact same level of service that I would have gotten if I didn't have insurance? Hubby had finger slammed in a car door. Lots of pain and swelling. So happy we ended up here. Wait wasn't bad for a Saturday night. Dr. Longoria drained the blood from his finger and gave great instructions. She was hysterical. Between Dr. Longoria and her nurse we had comedy hour during our visit. Made it actually enjoyable. Will be our urgent care go to from now on. read more

I arrived at 7:35 PM to have my daughter seen. They said they were not seeing any more patients, so I told them that they need to change their hours to closing at 7:30, instead of 8. I originally walked into Jacksonville Urgent Care to get information on how to begin their new healthy weight program. I stood at the front desk for over 5 min until someone finally showed up. Not only did the old lady with glasses roll her eyes and give an excuse, but when I was walked back by a older looking blonde woman who gave me information but seemed deeply disturbed! It seemed as if she was confused and talking to herself. Someone called her name and she shut her office door. This made me feel uncomfortable!!! The lady then started making comments about how she's the one who started the program, how she invested her money, and how she will not be ordered around by physicians. I was so embarrassed and uncomfortable that I just excused myself quickly and got the heck out of there. Very odd experience! read more
