If you want the TLDR, it's worth the drive and the price tag. Just go and enjoy yourself. I had been dying to try Cob & Cork since they opened, and I was finally given the chance. It's a small industrial-designed place with greys, wood, and black accents. It's more modern minimalism with a bit of rustic charm. There is a full bar, and Lauren, our server, was by far one of the best I've had in this state. She is worth mentioning by name and definitely worth asking to sit in her section. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, made good suggestions, and ensured our visit was truly an experience. We started with drinks, and the hibiscus margarita is incredibly tasty. Actually, ALL the drinks we had were inventive and delicious. One drink was made slightly wrong, and Lauren had the bar remake it. I would definitely order something off their specialty menu because you won't find another place in the area with such pretty presentation or combination of flavors. The food was enormous portions, delicious, and everything was perfect. The ahi tuna was perfectly cooked - seared on the outside with sesame seeds, and a magenta color in the middle. I had the jaeger schnitzel, which was pounded thin and super crispy (AND THAT BERRY COMPOTE!!!), and the mushroom topping on top was fabulous. While the ribs weren't smoked, and they were more crockpot/baked style, they were still fall off the bone. We did order dessert and as a special touch, she put candles on them "just because, just to celebrate." I didn't taste the chocolate dessert, but the strawberry rhubarb crumble was heavenly, especially with the glass of port to go with it (don't skimp, order it!). It was truly one of the nicest dinners I've been to in a long time. The food and drinks were good, but Lauren put it over the top for us. We will definitely be back and encourage our friends to try it - the more the merrier!

We came here on a Sunday for brunch to meet a friend-our first time. Our drinks were made quickly, and it was good, a roobious lavender late (1 pump of syrup instead of 2), bloody mary, and coffee. To start, we got an order of biscuits that were warm, fresh, buttery, delicious, and for sure homemade. Our meals were fantastic, pulled pork hash and bennys. After arriving, i started reading the reviews on yelp and was puzzled about the low rating stars. We had a nice time, patrons got their food promptly, and seemed to enjoy their meal.

My friend and I were looking for a new place to go for brunch last weekend, and we ran across Cob & Cork on Yelp and knew we had to try it. It's a little off the beaten path, which adds to its charm, but soon enough we arrived and were seated quickly. We started with two bloody mary's, which were huge (we barely finished them) and had that classic, semi-spicy, briney taste that makes a brunch feel like, well, brunch. My friend ordered the farmer's breakfast and I had the brioche bennie. Both were visually gorgeous and my bennie was fantastic. The brioche added a subtle sweetness that was contrasted with the creamy hollandaise sauce and zesty arugula. There was also a hefty order of bacon, and some of the best hash browns I've ever had. My friend enjoyed her farmer's breakfast as well. The service was phenomenal, friendly but not intrusive, and the atmosphere was intimate and bright. It looked like it would be a fun place to come back to on a date. Also, I'm dying to sit in the wicker "pod" chair in the bar and sip a glass of bubbly. Life goals! Apparently this place has been here for a year! I had no idea, but I loved it and will definitely be back again.

Finally we're able to make it to Cobb and Cork. Had tried a few times but weather and a case of Covid got in our way! Happy this place was as awesome as we were anticipating! Highly recommend getting a reservation. You can do it online or call during business hours. They have great signature cocktails, beers on tap, wine and a full bar. We started out with The Brie and some Oysters. The Brie had a nice honey taste, with walnuts and strawberry served with it. Very delicious. Small sweet oysters served with a house made cocktail sauce. All was very tasty. Everyone loved their entrees, I had the schnitzel. Served with brown gravy, delicious roasted vegetables, and tasty glazed brussel sprouts. My meal was delicious!!! The service is awesome. This would be a great date night place! Go check em out!

The entrance is delightfully well-done, and our faces lit up when we walked into the bar - intricately detailed and authentic enough that a '20s dress code could be reasonably enforced. We were seated immediately, and the cadence of service was immaculate: our appetizer came out just after our drinks, and the entrees appeared as we were taking the last bites of the appetizer. But I wasn't thrilled with my selections. The Rum Punch was served at room temperature and the jalapeño popper chicken sandwich was drier than the description suggested. My partner got the Jalisco Fizz, which she says paired well with the mushroom pasta, and really enjoyed the salmon deviled eggs. At $11-14, the drinks are priced well, but the food is overpriced. The jalapeño chicken sandwich was not a $23 sandwich, and a tempting lobster/shrimp roll was listed at $35. Overall Speakeasy Saloon is worth making an evening of. Dress up and sip on whiskey drinks in the low light with loved ones.

The first was my birthday last year, chosen by a friend (I'd never heard of it). This year I was asked where I wanted to go. I did not hesitate to say here! I couldn't be anything other than delighted in my decision--from the pleasantness inside, the wonderful view from our window, the delightful staff and the incredible food and drinks, this place is wonderful. Lucky me that my birthday was on a Wednesday so I could be totally influenced to have oysters-on-the-half shell due to a generous Wednesday night special. I do love raw oysters--and these were so tiny and briny and so incredibly good, I could have eaten five dozen! (I am kicking myself for not finding out what kind they were, but no matter. I would be happy with any they are serving here, I am sure.) I had already planned on having the Oysters Rockefeller (known here as Manor Rockefeller), and so, despite having just downed some oysters, I went ahead anyway and am glad I did! They were wonderful. And there was no real reason for me to pause for a moment in my decision, having already had oysters, because these were soooooo different. It was almost like eating a delicious oyster casserole in a shell. The Mediterranean Mussels were wonderful! (Notice, I was having a dinner of appetizers...) The broth they came in was beautiful (and drinkable, if one were so inclined). I loved the surprising tastiness of the Mama Lil's Peppers swimming around in it. At first I wondered if they would be too hot and compete with the flavor--overwhelming it--but no! Not at all. They were a perfect and flavorful touch. Absolutely wonderful. (And having said that, I know that "pepper heat" is an individual thing--I can tolerate a goodly amount, fyi--I just didn't taste these as hot at all.) Our server, Drew, was immensely helpful (and always charming!) He paired our food with a delicious wine. I guess we would assign my bowl of clam chowder to the dessert category--very thick and creamy--along with a lovely after-dinner cocktail, made by the wonderful and delightful bartender, Sherry. She made me a lovely mocktail to start--I asked Drew to have the bartender just make something up on a whim. It was pretty, colorful and delish with what in it, I have no idea. But, not only was it delectable, it was a vision! All festive and fuchsia, with a "bartender's cherry," and a hot pink umbrella. When I learned Sherry made it, I was so happy because I remembered her from last year--very skilled and very fun to chat with. A wonderful birthday--I highly recommend the Manor.

Walk up order and to get your food so no service. The carne asada fries were probably the best of what we ordered. They are a massive serving! The taco plate was a little under whelming. The chicken salad came in a huge fried tortilla bowl, so again very massive, but the taste was very, not sure how best to describe, American? I think the processed cheese on it and how the chicken was cooked and prepared (shredded meat). Probably not the best dinner but if you are there several hours and hungry it will do the job. Oh and the $1 charge for salsa is off putting.

Reviews seemed promising so,I hit the freeway and cruised down. Pulled into the parking lot. It's in a casino, so be prepared to have your senses assaulted when you walk in...especially after a peaceful hike thru the forest. Made my way back, looked at the menu and decided to do the street tacos with the asada upgrade. Paid the admittedly not cheap price, I declined the SIX DOLLAR chips and $1 hot sauce...I have home made salsa verde waiting. The tacos arrived reasonably quickly and I made my escape from the cacophony of lights and sounds assaulting my brain. Glanced at the tacos ensconced in my take out box and sure enough.. 3 street tacos...and headed back home to Bellingham. Upon arrival home the tacos were removed and plated. Another reviewer mentioned they were very generous with the meat and they were not kidding...they were utterly stuffed to overflowing with steak. Accompanying them was fresh jalapeños, some lime wedges, and some sliced radishes. It looked really promising. On with the home made salsa verde and the consumption began...and so did the disappointment. The tortillas...good...the veggies...good and fresh...the meat...plentiful...and...tasteless. Yeah, as much meat as there was, and it was somewhat decently prepared, at least it wasn't tough. But, it was also not juicy...just utterly, disappointingly bland. It's like somebody made the meat but completely forgot to season it. No butter, no salt, no pepper, no sauce...just...pretty much tasteless meat. I didn't pay $16 to get utility protein. What a disappointment. This could be epic...it could be THE go to place for post hike tacos. It could be the street taco pilgrimage spot. But all I got was...meh. Just a little change in the way they cook the asada and I'll make the drive and pay the price...well, not $6 for chips...but I'd pay the asking it the steak was good. Frankly, Chipotle is better and that's not saying much. I really had high hopes. But as of now, sorry, until somebody learns how to cook steak, cannot recommend.
