So last night we paid a return visit to Cobblestone Ale House. We wanted a place to get a bite to eat and watch the playoff games. This is def the spot to go. 2 huge wall tvs and numerous others throughout. The place was full, but we managed 2 seats at the bar. For our meals we shared the Mountain Melt and a burger with bacon, cheese, jalapeños etc. ( can't remember the name). I tried to look up the menu online to specify, but it is really hard to find. The food was great. Burger was ordered medium but came out med-well. That's ok because it was moist, tender, and tasty. Mountain melt is a combo of tots, chicken, cheese etc. We could only eat 1/2! So good. Great atmosphere, bartenders all busy, but were friendly and attentive to our food and drink needs. It's a great place to hang out, have some munchies, watch sports, and tip a few. We love to go to Cobblestone on Monday nights after our chorus practice! Brianna the bartender is amazing . Taking the orders . Delivers and make drinks ! The food way better than your average bar variety! Th pizza and wings were made to order and we ate every bit! This is our go to spot sometimes for a quick game of darts and a beer or congregating with friends and game days. Get there early on game days they draw a pretty large crowd! Plenty of Televisions and huge screens you won't miss a play on. The bartenders and cook are all friendly and inviting. It's pub food the nachos with chicken are very good and loaded fries we ordered for a group of three and was $16 and change. Very inexpensive. The sampler platter is good for sharing as well. Raspberry Inferno wings are my favorite and great with their hot fresh pizzas. It's a fun sports bar atmosphere with history that dates back to the 1800's. We dropped by here after grabbing some hot dogs from Heids to catch a game and check out if there were any local craft brewers to try out and there were definitely a couple. The most important thing discovered here was there's free peanuts! Staff seemed friendly enough and beer seemed average price here. We went to Cobblestone Ale House in Liverpool Village for Happy Hour and dinner last night. Comfortable atmosphere, attentive bartender and good crowd. We sat at a corner of the bar and enjoyed a couple drinks while we all relaxed. With such a large place you can sometimes get lost in the crowd but not with our bartender. I wish she gave us her name because she never stopped moving all night! We were there at 5 so it would be easy to figure out who she is, lol. After a couple drinks, we ordered dinner. A large Calzone with broccoli, sausage and garlic, a large Supreme pizza, a chicken quesadilla and an order of wings. Our bartender took our entire order without writing it down and it came out exactly as we wanted it! Damn, that's amazing! I can't remember why I walked into a room any more! The Calzone was HUGE and delicious, easily half a large pizza! The Quesadilla was stuffed full of chicken and veggies (sorry about the blurry pic), the meaty wings were cooked exactly as the Hubs likes them, extra crispy and light on the sauce. The Supreme pizza was covered in fresh veggies and pepperoni but could have stayed in the oven a few more minutes as the dough was a little under cooked. But still not enough to stop us from scarfing it down, LOL! This was just what we all needed after a busy week and sharing time with friends amid the pretty Christmas inside the bar got us into the holiday spirit. It's a dive bar so that's how I'll review it. Would I go here exclusively for food? No. Is it a great place to sit down, have a couple beers, watch a game, and/or play some pool? Absolutely. Although there's nothing extraordinary about this place, it's got a lot of space, solid beer selection, and is right in the village. I've never gone on a Saturday night at 10pm, but I'd guess that's probably not my scene. My experience here is going to watch NFL/SU Basketball games, occasional weeknights after work, or an weekend afternoon beer and round of pool. It's perfect for all of that IMO. read more

I almost gave this place 2 stars solely because I truly believe if you are a dude, you likely get the opposite service experience that I've had there several times. But then I realized if that's the case, they should get less stars, not more. Living in the Village for a few years, I never once had a good experience at this place. I gave them several tries and my final bad time there is when I vowed to never ever ever step foot in there again. I refuse to give them any of my money. Friends have invited me there and I tell them to let me know if they end up elsewhere because I absolutely will not go to Cobblestone. Before I get into the service issues, I first want to mention that the food is pretty awful. I know it's shitty bar food but they take shitty bar food to a whole new level. On one instance, my friends and I got a pizza there. We're all biting into slices and giving each other the same weird look. Finally, my one friend said "Spaghetti-Os. The sauce literally tastes like it's from a can of Spaghetti-Os." We stopped eating. My final visit to this horrid place is when my cousins were in town, so we just popped over for a few drinks. I met them over there and they were sitting down at a table. I said I'd get the next round, so I walked over to the bar. It was a weekend night so they were busy, but not TOO busy. 2 guys sitting at the bar let me squeeze between them to order my round of drinks. I stood there for no less than 10 minutes and the bitchy women bartenders flat out ignored me. Several dudes (aka "bros" - the type of people that frequent this place) got served the second they walked up to the bar even though I had been sitting there. I even pulled my credit card out to let them know I was ready to order drinks. Nothing. The 2 nice men that let me squeeze in saw this entire thing transpire and finally they spoke up and said something. They yelled over to the bartender that at this point I'd been standing there for at least 15min being completely ignored while they happily served any dude that came in. What happened next? The bartender heard them and proceeded to storm off to the back room and send out another bartender to serve me. She gave me my drinks for free. Having service like that was a regular occurrence but that was a final straw. If you're a guy and you hit on the bartenders, you'll probably be fine. I don't think a male bartender works there, at least one didn't when I lived in the area. So being a chick, you're pretty much guaranteed crappy service. I was in the service industry for years so I know what it's like. It takes a lot to piss me off regarding bad service, but this one took the cake. Thankfully, the new White Water Pub was opening a few months after I vowed to never return to Cobblestone. I waited for WWP to open and they became my new watering hole where I would happily spend my money instead of for shitty service at Cobblestone. read more

They have a number if TVs for the games which is good and a decent amount of beer choices but the bar food is a little lack luster. Typical bar food I guess but I don't see why everyone thinks their burgers are great- I found them to be unseasoned and bland. read more

Dec 5th 2014, First time there. Went to get a drink the bartender walked past me twice to go talk to her friends. The bar back had to tell her to get my drinks. When I needed a refill she was too busy with texting in her phone. Again the bar back told her I needed a drink. Me being the nice guy still left a tip. Also saw a guy too drunk to stand get served. The worst part was I saw a guy literally roll a joint. He held it up and licked it and no one said a word. Worst experience I've had at a bar in a long time!!!! Btw this was my first time there. The Cobble Stone is a very casual pub in Liverpool's village. The floor is littered with peanut shells patrons toss on the floor after eating, bringing a lot of ambiance to the place. They have cheap drinks and cheap, yummy bar food. Their mozzarella sticks, chicken wing dip, chicken fingers, curly fries and warm pretzels are all good. If you want bar food, this is the place to get it. A great bar to hang out with friends, and the bartenders are nice. read more

Cheap drinks, decent amount of room. Don't go there if you have a peanut allergy, they're all over the floor. It gets pretty packed on the weekends. Be prepared to run into someone you went to highschool with. read more

Really liked this place. Food was great. Had sweet potato fries and chicken wings. SP fries were cooked just right and the wings were flavorful without being over sauced. I love the atmosphere and the history. It's in the village of Liverpool in an old stone building. They try to keep some tradition with old timey decorations, but updated with HUGE projectors and lots of tv's for sports. The beer selection is decent ad's they have a few bar games. They also have free peanuts and you throw the shells straight on the floor, which adds to the ambiance. The staff is young and that's usually the only thing that's bad. They aren't the greatest, but if it's not too busy it's a good place to hang out. read more

Cheap drinks, friendly bartenders, and amazing wings. Can't really go wrong with this place as long as you aren't looking for anything upscale. There are peanut shells all over the floor and their wine selection is abominable but if that doesn't bother you you're good to go. Occasionally later in the evening the crowd will get a little rough but that can be true with any bar. The best wings in Liverpool can be found here. My favorite is the house made Louisiana sauce. My boyfriend and I went there this past weekend, when we got there we opened a tab and sat down at a table across from the bar. My boyfriend went up for his second drink and was back very quickly. When I went up for my second drink it took over 10 minutes. The bartenders ignore you if you are a women. Men came up behind me and were waited on first. This is not the first time this has happened to me there. I started having my boyfriend go up to get me a drink and he was always back in a minute or two. Let me start by saying that this review has nothing to do with the product, service, or layout of this establishment. It has to do with the creatures they call clientele. In Liverpool, much like most of Central New York, the bars will have a mix of people. Some old-timers, some young people. Some high class humans and some dirtbags. The Cobble Stone has the most consistently low-class customer base I've ever seen. These mutants are the last kind of people you want to be in the same room with. I saw a brawl there that involved many people in what looked to be a planned gang attack. The fight culminated in a pool cue being broken over a man's head and him bleeding profusely. The fact that you can find such a high concentration of these types of people in a suburb of a small city is mind-boggling. Don't go there. read more

By far worst bar in liverpool!!! Bartender was very very rude and disrespectful. It was 10 minutes before closing and she came up to our group and said "get your s**t and get the f**k out of here." We were in the far corner minding our own business and she came out of no where and was so rude. This place is great. Cheapest draft beer in the village and a huge projection screen for sporting events. Not too crowded during the week but can get really busy on the weekends. Its not classy but not really a dive bar. You really can't beat a sculpin on draft for 4.25 a glass and draft PBR all the time. Lot's of craft beer on tap. Good local spot. This is where I like to be if I'm out in the village. The people who complain about cobblestone are the one's going to Applebee's on the weekends for a drink. read more

Attended the Mayweather v Pacquiao fight here. Pretty good venue for sports events, the big screen is massive. Wasn't overly thrilled with the amount of patrons who turned-up and were just there to socialize and not watch the fight- and not thrilled that they didn't turn the volume up on the fight. Bar can get a little overwhelmed and it has a few hidden corners, but bartenders are top notch and very fast however. The fare is typical bar-food, nothing special- but you do get quite a good amount of food for the money- this is easily downtown Liverpool's cheaper place to hang out at. I had 12 boneless buffalo wings, 5 Yuenglings and a glass of wine for $30. A side observation is that Liverpool/Syracuse desperately needs Uber- the cabs are incredibly tough to get past 11pm. read more
