Some reviewers referred to it as a dive, but it's definitely a step above it. I only had cheese curds but it does have a full menu. They also have a wide selection of drafts, but it's 95% local/big names, not really my game. For drinks, I had a draft ($5) and a nice/strong jack/coke ($8). They do charge a bit extra if you pay with a card. Don't be afraid of the $10 parking charge sign for parking outside, no need to pay for parking if you are coming to the bar. read more

I met my friend on a late Sunday afternoon. The bar area was busy with families from events, and some young children. I was able to scoot into a corner of bar seats waiting on my friend. A short wait for menus and to scour drink menu. I went with pomegranate cosmo, unfortunately it lacked presentation due to shortage of appropriate glassware. Server was apologetic, taste was pleasant but strong and lacking garnish. My friend just ordered a light draft and we ordered Reuben egg rolls to share. Best Reuben egg rolls I have had in the Cuse! Tons of tender corned beef, and just a hint of sauerkraut and Swiss served with thousands island dressing! I ordered an extra for take out for my Irish man at home and short rib tacos. Those did not keep well for take out, more meat and toppings would improve the continuity compared to tortillas. Service excellent, frequently checked upon for refills and food order. Prompt delivery and friendly service! Great place for meetups with a pub sports bar atmosphere. I'm not sure I noticed remanence of the prior press room. Many televisions great for sport events. Really fun stop, named after being in an old newspaper building. Sports bar vibe through and through. Came in for dinner and some NCAA tournament. Mix of families early, then some younger groups. They have good pool tables and gaming area in a room behind the main bar and seating area is. I just happened to go when they were having a memorial service for someone after a funeral and it was a bit awkward but they still let me use the pool tables and everybody was really nice, and friendly. read more

Ordered Delivery which we all know challenges the integrity of the food and yet we were super happy with everything we ordered! PressRoom Pub served us a delicious buffalo wrap, chipotle chicken sandwich and salad. What was most impressive was the seasoning on the fries, both the cajun and garlic parm and the chicken on all 3 items. The chicken was melt in your mouth good in all 3 dishes and that blew us away. The one thing we didn't love was the falafel in the salad, odd flavor and to be fair falafel that sits too long rarely has a chance. And it was just a small portion of it. We are excited to go and sit down at some point. When delivery is this good, usually the sit down is twice as nice! Enjoy! read more

This place is loud and large. They offer heaps of beers on tap and different kind of bar food. I didn't eat anything but their nachos, burgers and fried chicken fingers looked amazing! This is a great place to watch a football game or bring a large crowd or even a date. They have outdoor seating, a few different rooms for progeny events if needed and a parking area. I take 1 star off because it used to be more sports oriented (especially Syracuse and Pittsburgh sports) and since they remodeled it doesn't seem like a sports bar. 1st time at the Pub! We ordered loaded salt potatoes, French onion soup, and a chipotle chicken panini. All dee-lish except for the sweet potato fries! Heard it was their signature thing, but it wasn't for me. Dipped it in their special sauce and it tasted like French toast and syrup. Not dipped they were ok. If you like sweet, this is for you! Syracuse has one heck of a night life, but sometimes when it comes to getting good food and drinks, it can be challenging due to the lack of parking and the madness of the night scene. This is one thing you don't need to worry about here as they have ample parking so you don't ever have to stress about that. Both the inside and outside vibe are fantastic as well. I would have loved to have come here more during the summer nights. Once you get inside there is plenty of seating for both small and large groups and wherever you sit you will be able to see the game on one of their larger screens. They have a huge menu of different delicious options, but I highly recommend checking out there specials board. They always have some awesomely unique items on it. The main feedback I will give them on the menu is that they absolutely must get tomato soup if they are going to serve grilled cheese. It's like having cereal without milk! I didn't order it for that reason alone. Heck even Campbell's from a can works fine. The service is also fantastic here. You'll be greeted pretty fast and your server will continue to make sure you have a great experience from start to finish. My last suggestion is to maybe laminate the menus. A lot of dirty hands out there and the paper passes those germs easily. That's just a super small complaint though. All and all I highly recommend coming here. read more

The food was absolutely delicious (the "riggie" pasta was creamy and amazing!) and very well presented. The staff were incredibly attentive and the owner was kind and accommodating. Had a great time here, just what I needed. Wanted a place with food options to watch the 49er playoff game. Didn't realize that it was also at the same time as the Syracuse / Virginia game for which most to the room was watching. Still felt very welcomed and accommodated for the game I came to see. Very large wings and tasty loaded fries. Large, lively, loud with plenty of TVs, vast menu of food options and full bar. My only call out was that instead of being presented with a traditional paper bill, I was shown the total on a hand held device and ask to pay on the spot. When we were up in Syracuse for a college visit we really tried to find some tasty places to eat and found lots of success. Right before we left town we wanted to stop in for one last meal and The Press Room Pub was the where Yelp sent us. The place was pretty empty when we got there, but our waitress was great...clearly she knew the menu and took the time to talk to us about the area and even some of the other restaurants. I ordered an Ommegang and Wifey just had an iced tea (she was driving home). My son wanted the hot pretzels to start and also ordered wings for his meal. My wife got one of their special wraps (salmon I think) and I had my third burger in two days...the Smokehouse burger - a 1/2 pound angus patty with BBQ, Sautéed onions, Bacon, & Swiss Cheese on a Bakery Roll, w/ fries. The burger was AWESOME and my son and Wifey also really liked their meals. My son likes his wings well done and they came out perfectly. The whole meal was a hit and if my son ends up at Syracuse I KNOW he'll spend time in this place. Food was too good to not go back. read more

I really like the environment, the drink prices are affordable and it's centrally located right in downtown Syracuse. They also have a lot of parking available. Our "Happy Hour Club" was welcomed this time with great hospitality and a wonderful staff. Excellent food, service and atmosphere!

I stopped in after work for a drink. Wow beautiful restaurant/bar! They were getting ready to set up for corn hole games while we were there. They have all NYS beer (labatt too) as well as a variety of mixed drinks. You can get a flight for $5.00. The menu looked amazing, but I didn't get a chance to try it. (Hence why only 4 star review). The staff were very nice and helpful. They pointed out the custom tables and the original parts of the building that were kept. The prices seemed reasonable and I saw a salad that looked good. Love this new space! Free parking, plenty of room, and a cool, relaxed vibe that is a great addition to Syracuse! Food is reasonably priced. First, the sweet potato fries with the maple dipping sauce are AMAZING! If you don't get these, you are seriously missing out! The Buffacuse sauce for wings is also super yum! Lots of TVs so this is a great place to watch a game. The limited menu is great but they are working on expanding it since they just reopened (new owner is awesome and has made some nice changes to the space). Met up with a friend here to watch football. NFL RedZone and the national broadcast games were on large TVs. All of their food looked great and my burger and salt potatoes were both very tasty.
