Such a fun space to go to! Service is neutral, staff if generally helpful and friendly, but they are also usually quite busy. Food is always delicious and elevated above "bar food" and great portions. They have great burgers, sandwiches, dips, and more! Great beer selection and drinks too. We have yet to do a meal here and not enjoy it. They also have great events, and did our engagement photos here!

This is my first time at this location and we loved it! The floor plan is open and great for groups, and there is a nice variety of food and snacks, and of course, brews. The staff couldn't have been nicer sand all the food came out quickly . Parking is easy and I love the mix of big booths and small tables. We will definitely be back!

Food was good. Staff was attentive, enough. Nothing stood out and nothing was horrible. It's an order at the bar and figure it out kinda place. They have good beers on tap and the food is decent. The service is sub par since you're just ordering at the bar. We sat at the bar and were dismissed a few times asking for water. It just felt a little cold. Overall the experience was decent, but since we're just visiting the area, we probably won't be back.

My afternoon office, sitting quietly in a corner here with my work laptop and maybe but maybe not drinking a beer while pounding away at the keyboard. It's a very comfy spot and they have plenty of seating inside. A few televisions tuned in to sports, a big list of beers (pilsner, IPA, Hazy, Cider, Porter, Dark Lager, Oatmeal Stout and more) to keep folks interested. No one minded that I sat here for about four hours as it never did get too busy on a Wednesday afternoon. [Review 1545 of 2024 - 461 in New York - 22568 overall]

    Pulled Pork Nachos - excellent.

I didn't have enough time to drive out to the Cazanovia location, which I plan on doing once I get the time, so I settled for going to this location. It was AWESOME. It was a little crowded at 8PM on Friday, but our party of 5 was able to be seated. First things first, the beers at Mier's Creek are terrific. The Floating On By Pilsner drinks so easy. My friend called it the "cream soda of beers," and I think she nailed it. I also absolutely enjoyed the Velvet Fog hazy NEIPA was delicious. There's a reason why Mier's Creek is so popular, simply put, they make great beer. The food was surprisingly good too! Too often at breweries they have a cool eclectic menu, but fall short on delivering. Not here. The food was great. The pulled pork nachos had a very hefty serving of pulled pork in them. I loved them. I had been told by a friend to try their dill pickle wings. If you like pickles, you'll probably love these. They come with a nice dry rub on them and were crispy and juicy. No complaints out of me. The Buffalo Chicken pizza did not let us down like the Buffalo Bills (as advertised). It was awesome. I loved their Buffalo sauce. I'll get this again, and again, and again. Loved it. Also, not pictured, we tried the fried cheese curds. They were next level good. They had a little twist to them, they didn't taste like ones I've had before. I really, really liked these. The staff was excellent. They all looked like they were having fun while working, which added to the atmosphere. They were attentive and professional and you did not have to wait long for a drink at the bar. This is a great bar/brewery. I'll definitely be back to this location. I'd say if you want a low-key night out, but not too low-key, this is a great spot for you. Also, if you like great beer and food, there's no reason for you to skip this location.

Meier's Creek is special to me because a national partner I work with owns it. They have some great brews here and some fantastic food! If you are in Syracuse and looking for an awesome place for lunch or dinner or just looking for some great brews, check out Meier's Creek!!

Update on review. Another fun meet up with a friend for a couple of brews and little bite to soak up the suds. I had a hazy citrus blend and my friend a Pilsner. Ambiance fun and friendly as usual. We decided on just the pub fries, but these are no average fries! They are seasoned well, served hot with a relish dipping sauce. Other patrons ordered them next to us and you can smell the aroma of the seasonings as they are served! Service was efficient but there were extra charges on our bill but was quickly rectified. Loved the rainbows painted on the entrances for Pride Parade ‍!

    Great Beef on Weck here!

I stopped here for a quick bite to eat and a beer after biking on the Empire State Trail. It's right on route back to my apartment, super convenient. Huge bar. Nice ambience. Chill staff. TVs to watch the game as well. They have all of their fall beers out now. I got the Oktoberfest with a sugar cinnamon rim and the Jack teriyaki wings. Perfect combination. Wings were fresh, perfectly crisp, perfect amount of sauuuuce. They have a pretty decent menu with lots of options, including wraps, pizza, wings, and others. Theres also seating outside, and a bike rack. Def will be back!

TL;DR: Amazing in-house beers, delicious food, wonderful ambiance, and convenient parking. Highly recommended! ***Ambiance*** This place has a wonderful upbeat and trendy ambiance. All glass, steel, and wood. Clean dining space. Both booth and tables-for-four options are available for seating. The bar is very inviting and has very cool lighting. The only thing missing was some good music. Which I don't even remember missing. [pun intended :) ] ***Staff and Service*** All the staff were very friendly and our experience was very good. You order at the bar and they bring the food to you. Our bartender was very helpful. She not only helped me navigate the beer selections (for the IPAs) but also made a cocktail for our group that was not listed on the menu. ***Food*** Excellent food and amazing portion sizes. We ordered classic pizza and pulled pork sandwich, and both of them were delicious. Was served hot and fresh. Went down really well with our drinks. :) ***Drinks*** One of my companions at the table opted for a margarita that was expertly crafted - perfectly balanced and not watered down. It had that desired kick that you expect from a good amount of tequila. I, on the other hand, started with a flight of four different IPAs. This place clearly has a love for IPAs, as there were five different options on tap that evening. When it comes to Meier's Creek, I always compare their IPAs (and all their beers) to my favorite, the Velvet Fog. In this case, the Dolphy Day IPA stood out to me as the best of the bunch. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered it for a second round. To top off the evening and put my money where my mind was, I bought a four-pack of Dolphy Day to go. (see pic). ***Overall*** It was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this place for beer and food with friends and family. Highly recommended!

We'd heard mix reviews about this Meier's Creek location and suffice it is say that our experience was all positive. We went late afternoon on a Saturday (before dinner time) for beer and ended up getting dinner, too. From the outside, I thought the inside space would be bigger. However, it's roomy with plenty of seating and a long bar. There is also outdoor seating. They have a number of different beers on tap. I was curious about the Et Tu Brute? and was able to have a taste before ordering it. We liked both! We then decided to order the blanco pizza, which was delicious and a nice size for two people. We both enjoyed this Meier's Creek location and look forward to visiting it again!

Nice little bar near the inner harbor. Their original site is in Caz. This location offers all the same drinks/beers you can get at the other locations. The also have some seltzer and cider selection although they do not have a full liquor bar as this is a brewery. For food they have lots of different pizza options, one pizza is good enough to share. Last time we went we got the poutine tots, which were good. There are several different bar snack options. To order food you go to the bar and then let them know where you are sitting. There is a large amount of seating inside and at the bar. They have to go beer and merch as well. In the summer there is outdoor seating, which I assume is likely dog friendly outdoor seating. But always call to confirm.

Ask the Community - Meier's Creek Brewing - Inner Harbor

Is there easy parking? Would this be suitable for a group of 10ish people for an informal meeting?

Yes. Ample parking across the street.

I see they do not offer reservations. If a group of 15 friends were to plan to meet here, is the space big enough that we are likely to be able to sit together?

We stopped here and were seated instantly at a very comfy and roomy booth. Our server was great as well, I don't remember her name but, truly she was on top of it. We ordered some drinks over the course of our meals as they have a plethora of drinks to try! Their flavor notes to describe their drinks were very helpful to figure out what you'd like and our server was very helpful with making sure we got what we wanted! Our food was amazing and the price for everything was relatively fair and I think affordable for two people to get the full experience! I left extremely happy and definitely coming back for another date night! As we wanted to be away from crowds, at the time it wasn't too busy, but I felt like even if it was, it still wouldn't have hindered the experience, and my boyfriend attested to this as well for all those shy folk!

It's a great casual place to hang out or watch a game. There's also a game room in the back which we didn't get to see as there was a private event going on at the time. Both our hostess and waitress were stellar. Our waitress had a table of 8 with 5 different checks, didn't write anything down, and just nailed every order. She also had fantastic suggestions. I ordered "The Burn Notice" burger and it was fantastic! Just the right amount of heat, great flavor, their fries are really solid as well. They have a vast selection of beer, ales and IPAs and you can choose any four of them to make a flight. It comes in a wooden holder with your choices written in chalk. Really awesome! I forget the name, but try number 20, it's fantastic! My daughter recently moved to Syracuse and when visiting, this will be a regular stop. I can wait to try more.

Another outstanding meal at my favorite syracuse restaurant…read more Enjoyed some time this Friday with special people as we sat and enjoyed an exquisite dining out. I was the only returning patron, the others much enjoyed their first time here. Walking through the front door you're instantly hit with a wonderful smell of food cooking over an open fire. Got a terrific table to look out the window and enjoyed a nice evening view. Took full advantage of every food meal course available. Started out with their evening appetizer of homemade bread with cinnamon butter. Each of us got our own dinner choice along with small plates to start. The two small plates were green lentil salad and ember roasted carrots. Both of them with their unique flavor and style. The green lentil salad featured heirlooms. The ember roasted carrots featured labrieth, doqqa, and maple syrup. Keep in mind everything here comes from local farms and local breweries and distilleries. Big fan of supporting the state and local community. Fantastic! They feature only a few main entrées, tonight's included halibut, steak, chicken, and sea Island peas with jasmine rice. Knowing how well seasoned their steaks are, I went with a filet mignon 10 ounce. Probably a little more than I should've gotten, but I very rarely eat steak and know how well and good they are here. Ordered the steak medium to medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. Mouth watering delicious. Along with the steak includes mashed potatoes, chimichurri, kale, and. crème fraiche. Every bite was outstanding. One of us got ice cream for dessert which she said was very good. The ice cream was made right there at the restaurant. We kicked off the dinner with a rum cocktail and a tequila cocktail. All spirits locally sourced. If you haven't tried it here yet you should. You will not be disappointed.

We were promptly seated and ordered glasses of wine while perusing the menu, which is on the smaller side. That usually means everything on it is rather good, so we had high expectations. We started with the Mushroom Toast, Ember Roasted Carrots, and Beef Tartar. I'll start with the bad and finish with the good. The Ember Roasted Carrots were a complete miss. They were trying to go for a middle-eastern flavor, with each ingredient contrasting, while the carrot served as the centerpiece to flavor. I found this to be INCREDIBLY bland. The carrots were not salted enough during roasting and lacked enough char. They dish also needed more labneh than it was served with. It literally just tasted like carrots and yoghurt. Honestly, if I could only give one critique it would be to have used more salt, but this dish was a real disappointment. The Beef Tartar suffered from a similar issue. It was bland. Not enough salt was used. It unfortunately tastes like flat beef. I overheard the bartender talking to another couple and he told them they really want to highlight the ingredients. The idea is purity or something like that. And that's well and good, but you still need to season beef tartar. I don't think this is necessarily a poor execution of the dish(es) rather this is more in line with the philosophy of the kitchen, and that's fine. It's just not for me. And now for the good. The Mushroom Toast was great. It had all the things I had wanted. Fat, salt, umami, freshness. This was a good dish and I would get this again. As for the entrees, my husband and I ordered the Cappelletti and the NY Strip. The Cappelleti was the strongest dish of the night. The flavors were layered and intentional. This was a great dish and I1000% would get it again. My husband ordered the NY Strip along with bone marrow. It was cooked to perfection. Cooking it over a wood fire gave it a great char and almost Smokey flavor. It was very flavorful. The chimichurri made the steak feel lighter than it actually was. My husband loved it and I loved having a bite or two of everything together. This was a complete dish and I'd highly recommend it. The only knock I could give it is the bone marrow. There was a lack of volume in it which is probably due to being cooked over a wood fire. Parts of the bones were also over roasted. I'd skip this the next time and get the foie gras pate. Lastly, for desert we were disappointed that we could not try the rice pudding as they were out of it (we will try it the next time if available). We did however order the Flourless Chocolate Torte to share. It was made perfectly. It was rich and decadent but remained light. It was almost like a mousse, but not quite. We loved it. Overall, the had a great time. There were several highlights and I think they make up for the a couple of the earlier dishes. I'd like to see what else they have to offer when they change their menu.

The Blue Tusk closed in 202 after 26 years and a landlord dispute. The Blue Tusk had an extensive number of taps and a vibe that kept people coming back. The Taphouse on Walton open in March/April of this year. The space has been totally renovated. There are 24 taps plus beers in cans, and a variety of other liquors. The food menu has a good variety including charcuterie boards. The beers we had were good. I would say the tap list was no special, but did have a good variety including a nitro stout. A couple people order takeouts and we bought a Bavarian pretzel for the table with cheese dip. I expected a large Bavarian pretzel, but instead it was three Bavarian style pretzel sticks. What stood out was that the bar was quiet at 5 p.m. on a Friday. Quiet. Is the Taphouse getting a crowd later in the evening? For its survival, I hope the answer is yes. The other thing that stood out is that the place has no vibe. I know "vibe" is hard to quantify, but you know it when you feel it. The Taphouse doesn't have it. Perhaps their target audience isn't interested in vibe. Finally the decor feels unfinished. I'll also not that the only seating area back in a far corner seems a bit too private.
