That being said, I'm giving this place a 4/5 stars for the chicken tenders alone. I was very very pleasantly surprised (I expected all bar food to be bar food). The chicken tenders were very crispy and tasty. My one qualm is that the size of the different tenders is extremely varied/not uniform. This means between the different orders in the group, some portions looked much larger than others. In addition, as a note, the eight piece tenders does not come with fries, only the four piece. All in all, I was really pleasantly surprised by the food and will likely come back for the chicken tenders again in the future.

At first didn't think it was anything special, until more people arrived and ordered their food. I took a look at the menu, and I could see why locals would return. Ordered Sal's Special Burger with deep fried cheese curds, Sal's sassy sauce, and coleslaw on a kaiser roll. How could I go wrong with that? Well, I didn't. In fact it was fantastic. The potato wedges were fried just right, not overdone, or underdone as many establishments struggle with, and the burger was much bigger, juicier and tastier, than expected. My brother went with the Turkey Cobb salad, it was giant, bountiful, and looked really robust. My nephew ordered 20 wings to share with everyone. Half garlic parm, half sweet chili. Blue cheese also seemed to be homemade, I automatically ask for extra and it was worth it. I ordered the tropical salmon and was side eyeing the coconut a little, but wow... it all came together perfectly. Sweet, tangy, and the salmon was cooked exactly right. Service never disappoints, and whoever was behind the bar deserves a shoutout because that blackberry margarita was dangerous. I went back for round two and I'm not sorry about it. Dessert was a dense chocolate cake that didn't even last long enough for a photo, which says everything. Consistently good food, fabulous drinks, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like family.
