Fancy this place is not but I have found some of the best food I have had has come from a dive restaurant/bar. This place is perfect for the Sport's enthusiast as there are TV's on every wall pretty much, for fans to catch their favorite teams playing. There is also, a separate room off the bar area for large gatherings. Our waiter was warm and friendly. He took our order promptly.... we waited and waited for our food to come out. Mind you we ordered two sandwiches and a bowl of soup. The soup came out and again we waited. Unfortunately, all we got to try was the soup as we had an event we had to get to as our sandwiches when asked were not prepared. Sometimes things happen when you run a business and it is how you handle them that is the difference between just a restaurant and a great restaurant. This restaurant would earn five stars on just how things were handled. Kudos go to the staff there.... The French Onion soup we had for me was not my cup of tea as it was over seasoned and had way too many croutons which between the seasoning and bread overpowered the soup. My partner in crime thought it tasted OK and proceeded to devour the soup so will leave that up to you to decide LOL !!!! read more

Best burger in town. Period. Fresh meat, good seasoning. The fries are decent too. They offer, "Mulligan fries" which are really wedge fries if that's your thing. The bar is round so you can see everyone there. They have additional booths and table seating. There is a pool table and darts available. The bathrooms are nasty, I'm thankful I stand when I pee. I'm taking a star away because during the Friday and Saturday evening rush they aren't staffed well enough. If you aren't a regular you'll have trouble squeezing through and getting a drink. During off hours the staff is attentive and knows your name, just like Cheers. They can be a little crotchety, but that's part of the character of the place. Kind of a weird big place, a bit on the dark side. The round bar is kinda cool. Service was surprisingly good. Ordered a plain cheeseburger which was cooked as ordered medium rare. The hamburger bun is heavy buy was not that bad but made the burger dry out in your mouth. Burger tasted good but was a bit on the greasy side. Not sure if thats the type of meat they are using or being cooked on a flattop grill. Overall it is a true diamond in the ruff experience with a good burger. read more

Three stars for the wings. Very good...this place and the Ugly Duckling in Manlius are the best I've had in Syracuse that are sort of the classic Franks Red Hot/Crispy naked wing concept. The bar has a fair amount of ex-high school jocks who never left town and probably never entered university...but the cheap food and beer prices are probably worthy of an evening here. read more

Hole in the wall bar...you could almost miss it when driving past. Circular bar with multiple pool tables, darts and a golf game. Bartender was attentive and friendly. This has quickly become my favorite bar/restaurant in Syracuse's Eastern suburbs. The food is excellent and cooked to your specifications. I highly recommend the wings, especially the hot bbq, cooked crispy. The burgers are also excellent and they maintain a wide selection of beers on tap. Expect a small-town, friendly atmosphere. By the time you leave after your first visit, the bartenders will be calling you by name, and they'll remember it the next time you come in. The bartenders here think they have tenure and can act however they want. The service is inconsistant, they show obvious favoritism, and they refuse to step up to the standard of service set by other bars and restaurants in the area. Mulligans is usually my go to hang out. I love the bar and atmosphere! They have surprisingly great food, wings, burgers, mozzarella sticks, just good bar food. I love going there to meet up with friends and have some beers. I think the only thing that will keep me away is that the bartenders can be jerks sometimes. read more
