One of the best bbq chicken pizzas we've had; and we travel around the country in an rv, so that says a lot!

Had this the first night we were there!!! So good!! It was a Thursday so we had the Thursday deal which was a large 1 topping pizza.. Really good!! We added on broad red chicken and Jojo's with ranch for the dipping side.. All was yummy and fresh tasting!! You have to wear a mask to order but you can order inside and do takeout no dine in.. My husband and I had Cobblestone deliver us dinner last night. It was really good!! Probably one of the best pizzas I've had. My husband got a small salami and green olive and I got a small sausage, olive , mushroom and onion. Wow what a great combination!! Lots of toppings and the crust was great! We also ordered the stuffed rolls. Those are amazing!! But make sure to order a side of sauce to dip them in. We also ordered a half dozen wings. Well... those weren't very good. They bake them and the skin is very fatty. If they don't have a deep fryer they need to invest in one! Chicken wings need to be crispy on the outside. But other than that it was wonderful! Maybe it's because I'm from the Chicagoland area, but this goes down as one of the grossest pizzas I've ever eaten. Firstly, they messed up the entire pizza order. Didn't offer to give us our money back and then made us a new one so the entire wait time was almost and hour. Secondly, the pizza is over saturated with sauce, the crust isn't even a "crust" it's more like a thin undercooked floppy wet mess. Thirdly, the green peppers and onions were diced and completely raw on top. The crust is a chewy tasteless concoction that lacks structure. The cheese had zero flavor. Sauce no zest. Just your average pizza nothing special limited flavor if n a hurry it's ok if not try some where else

I ordered a medium meatballs pizza, buffalo wings, and garlic knots to go. The meatballs on the pizza are homemade, but not that tasty IMO. They also slice the meatballs too thin so you don't really get a good chunk of the meatballs and experience the yummy texture of a meatballs (maybe suggest quartering the meatballs instead of slicing them?). The crust on the pizza was nicely done, and cheese and marinara sauce was also good, overall 2 stars for the pizza. The garlic knots were yummy and definitely get marinara sauce with it, they give you a whole container of it and it's tasty! The buffalo wings were surprisingly very good, plump and great flavor (4 stars). The service was sufficient and friendly for my takeout needs. I would probably visit this pizza place again if I'm in town but will definitely try other toppings. read more

A large group of family stopped for dinner while on the way to our rental house. We should have turned around and walked out when 3 people came to the counter angry about their orders, cancelled and left. First of all the staff were not helpful or friendly at all. We were treated as we were an inconvenience because they were busy. We placed our orders on one ticket and finally were able to sit once we pushed together enough dirty tables and chairs & cleaned them off ourselves. Our food started arriving with 10 minutes. Wow, not bad we thought. Well our food continued to come out in pieces for the next 45 minutes. One or two people were eating at a time with the last two waiting 45 minutes from the time the first ate. It was horrible and we had to keep telling the staff what we were missing because apparently they couldn't keep track of the orders. The food itself was nothing to write home about. Super greasy burnt crust pizza, Ice cold garlic rolls, like warm pastas. Our first visit will absolutely be our last! read more

Was really looking for some tasty pizza during our quick getaway to the coast, and boy did we find it at Cobblestone Pizza. I'd read a review that said, "...better than Abby's" and I thought, "Well, what the hell isn't!?" So I went in with somewhat guarded expectations. We were starving, and wanting variety, so we got a small (10 inch) shrimp alfredo, and a small (10 inch) classic Italian plus mushroom with extra red sauce. (Because no pizza place out west puts enough sauce on the pie, period.) We also got a half dozen of the garlic rolls, with a side of ranch and marinara. Overall, delish! The garlic rolls were flavorful, but texture was a bit off, almost like they had been rewarmed (one was even dried out, that microwaved-bread texture). Not sure what happened there, as the first one I had was hot, fresh and tasty. So that's a bit of a demotion. But the pizza was so good, really, that it softened the blow. The flavor mix on the shrimp alfredo was just delish. Tender little pink bay shrimp, lots of sauce, lots of cheese, and a crispy crust strong enough to stand up to it. The edge crust, the bones, was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with just a touch of garlic taste. Yum! Really good dipped in the left over ranch or marinara from the garlic rolls. The Italian was really good, with a rich and zesty sauce and plenty of toppings perfectly distributed. We left with most of this pizza in tow, and I will say it was great cold, and also reheated. YUM! We'll definitely be stopping by again. read more

Certainly this place was the surprise of Newport. It is tucked off hwy 101 in a little plaza. The pizza was absolutely a delight. They had a lunch special that helped keep the prices low. Their prices range from cheap to mildly expensive... my wife and I paid around $15 for our whole meal and some friends paid around$40. Definitely take the time to look the menu over for the best deals. Honestly this place delivered on quality. We had a group of 15 people and they fed us all in a decent amount of time. Great pizza, but they don't know how to give you the proper amount of time for your food to be ready. Called it in and was told 25 to 30 minutes. When I got there on time. Was told another 15 to 20 minutes. Left and came back. Was told another 3 minutes for the shrimp fettuccini. When I advised the counter person that I don't mind waiting, but they need to give me the correct time, if it's going to be 45 minutes, tell the person that. He responded with the lamest excuse ever..." we just guess the time.. we don't know how many tickets we have when we say how long it will take". Unbelieveable. I am not one who writes reviews unless the food is really good or really bad. In this case the pizza was, in my opinion, not good at all. It was like a loaf of bread with pizza toppings. Way, Way, Way too much bread for a crust. Maybe if it had been crispy or something on the outside. It was doughy and I had even asked for well done. So this is the 2nd time I got pizza at the Newport- Cobblestone. The 1st time for delivery and the 2nd time for pick up. I have to say I have not been disappointed either time. The 1st order I got a small pepperoni/ extra cheese and I have to say the crust may have been a little bit too thick for that size. The 2nd time I got a medium pepperoni, green pepper, mushroom, extra cheese and it was much better. I love their dough, and the toppings are cooked just right and just the right amount. I haven't tried any of the gourmet toppings yet. I have found that by ordering the standard pepperoni or cheese pizza you can usually judge how good a pizza joint is. Now that I determined this is my "go to spot" - I am going to explore the other toppings and options that they have. The service has been great on both delivery and pick up. Satisfied all of my pizza needs and cravings! It's very family friendly and very good food. Highly reccomend the calazones, they are plate size and could probably feed 3... girls... but if your on a date night maybe order something more lady like. Highly reccomend!!! read more
