On May 23rd, I took my shoes into get cleaned and to have the upper suede to get dyed to have them look pristine. I went to get them yesterday June 24th. My shoes were completely ruined. The suede was not soft, hard, and scratched. The lower nubuck was completely discolored. It went from gray to light blue and patchy. The inside of my shoes were not cleaned. There are white lace holders that were stained with black dye. The lower gray stitching had black dye into it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager stated thats what they looked like when I brought them in!! I have proof that they weren't and how can someone say thats what they looked like a month ago!?! She didnt even know kind of shoe I brought in[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They sent them off again. I took two pairs of shoes and a pair of Woolrich boots for repairs. After taking twice as long as I was told and never having received a text that my shoes were ready, I called to find out what was going on. The upshot was that my shoes were ready but my boots could not be located, Woolrich doesn't make this style of boots anymore but I recall that they cost around $200.00. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The guy behind the counter was very confused and other customers were left waiting a long time while the employee spent 10-15 minutes trying to find my property.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I paid for the shoes but now I am out a $200.00 pair of boots. The moral of the story: don't take your shoes or boots to this place. Odds are greater than even that you won't get them back. Have a family get together in November, and my dress shoes looked terrible. Took them to the Cobblestone Shoe Hospital, and just picked them up today. The shoes look almost new, except for the creases in the leather, that nothing short of a miracle will remove. They did exactly what was requested, in a reasonable amount of time. I've used this cobblestone location for decades. Followed them from the gas station down the street to their own storefront. I always trust their opinion as to whether it's new tip/sole time or not as I've actually been told that I could probably wait a month or two longer. This place save my Givenchy suede boots. I mess up on shoes w the cleaning liquid I bought from the mall, that liquid works fine on sneakers but I swear I will never do it again or try to clean my shoes by myself. Walked in to a lady that was more into her jazz blasting and her unfriendly welcoming was warning #1. Her agressive approach to service and dry attitude with my Christian Louboutin suede pumps was warning #2. Giving Cobblestone the benefit of the doubt after prior speaking to the gentleman in advance of service along with doing business before I exhaled and left my fav Loubs with aka Ms. Jazzy Rude. A week later I received email that my shoes were ready. Going in a few days later to pick up again to the same old vibe and person. Handed her my claim ticket and she starts asking questions, what shoe, color etc...than finally handing me a box with my shoes. They totally destroyed the stem and heel of my fav Loubs! It took everything in me to NOT lose it with Ms. Jazzy Rude! Asking her what the hell happened and her telling a different story each time me madder!! Annnd after asking for the owner or corporate information without her wanting to provide it, stating she was the manager!?! Than not wanting me to take my shoes became intimidating and aggressive!! *Ugggh!!* I yanked my shoes and left the shop. After doing some research for a resolution to the damage of my shoes Cory *Smoooches* at the Dallas location was very helpful and apologized for the service with providing me the corporate info. I had them repair a brand new purse that the embellishment had fallen off of.  When I picked up the purse today, there was a large scuff on the front.  When I inquired about it, Etta (manager) said that the purse was just dry.  I'm very non-confrontational, but this was clearly not the issue and the purse should have been in perfect condition.  The woman behind the counter rolled her eyes and rubbed some lotion onto the scuff.  This did nothing and I asked if there was anything else she could do.  She took my purse to the back and came back with half of the scuff greatly improved.  I asked if she could treat the entire scuff, so she huffed off.  She came back, tossed my purse at me, and said it was the best she could do. I could not believe how rude and hateful she was when she really didn't have to be.  I will NOT be back. If you insist on using Cobblestone Shoe Hospital on Hulen, I strongly recommend that you photograph the item you are leaving so that you have proof of any damage they may cause, then brace yourself for major attitude if you ask them to make it right. read more

I brought my favorite pumps there. They needed a new caps on the heels. The girl at the counter noticed that the soles were a bit worn and said he could fix that, so I agreed. I pointed out that I scuffed the leather on the tip of the toe. I picked them up today. They look like a new pair of shoes. He did a beautiful job!!! I'm so happy!! He was able to buff the scuff on the tip of the toe. You can hardly tell that I scuffed them. Plus, the girl at the counter was real sweet and helpful, very good customer service. read more

Expensive and unfriendly. I took my purse in to have the one inch of leather strap sewn. The woman at the counter quoted me $26.95. Really? A one inch stitch in the leather. Wow. Good and fast shoe shine, what more can you ask for! Dropped off two pairs of shoes that needed to be cleaned up polished, one of which I needed to wear that evening. Owner/manager took care of me right away. Happy with the results, although the price was a little more than what I am used to paying, but was willing to pay for the convenience this go around. I have been to this place twice, and both times was treated badly. The woman in charge (Etta Scott) is abrasive, rude, and curt---when she is not on the phone or talking to her friends in the shop. She seems to have a chip on her shoulder that, no matter how much care I take, she will not treat me like a valued customer...more like I have disturbed her day. On the first time, I took some shoes in and asked her if she could resole them. She acted as if I had insulted her, and said, "You have got to be kidding! I can't do anything with that! You ruined those shoes!" On this second visit, when I picked up my shoe, she walked to the cash register and then suddenly turned and said, "How are you going to pay for this? Cash?" l assumed that meant she would prefer cash, so I put my credit card back in my wallet and got out a $10 bill. I said, "I always try to pay small businesses in cash because I know you have to pay credit card charges to the credit card company." She said, "Small business? This isn't a small business! This is a company with stores all over the country! Don't tell me this is a "small business"!" I felt as if she was rebuking me for simply trying to be considerate. While home on holiday break my college-age son took his boots here for repair , expecting to have them back in a few days to wear while he was here. I picked them up for him and, when I returned home, my son informed me that not all the requested repairs had been done. I returned the next day and explained to the owner the problem. Owner stated that my son had not asked for "that particular repair on that shoe". I had three pairs of shoes repaired here recently. One was a pair of black, leather high heels.They replaced the cap that goes on the bottom of the heel (I don't know the technical name for this) and recolored the leather. Another was a pair of brown leather riding boots. The soles of the shoes had started to come of. They replaced the soles and reconditioned the boots. They look like new boots! The third was another pair of brown leather boots. My dog had licked the top of one of the boots until it had disintegrated. I was not sure what could be done to make these boots wearable again. I was very pleased with the results. They trimmed both of the boots down (about 1.5"-2" removed from original design.) They replicated the original curvy shape, and triple stitching. They are beautiful. I actually think I like them better like this than when I left the department store with them! I really appreciate the attention they paid to the detailing in the stitching. When I dropped the boots off, I was told there would be 3 week turnaround on the boots. I was disappointed, because I wanted them for a special occasion. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a text stating they were ready, two weeks ahead of schedule. I paid $150 for the repair of all three pairs. I'm not sure how Cobblestone's prices compare to other shoe hospitals in the area, but I felt this was a fair price for the quality of work that was performed. Apparently I'm hard on my shoes as I needed a repair on my strap. The sweet old man comes to assist me and then teased me about how he felt sorry for my sandal. I was totally giggling the entire time. What am I 12? I put the shoe in the shop. Unfortunately, It's not really the type of place where the turnover was 24 hours, so it took a week, but the quality of work was good. They give you a ticket and you get an email when your repair is finished so you can pick up when you're ready. I'd use them again. read more

These guys have some of the best cobblers in the business. And one of the few places to get dye work done. The guy at this location is usually nice. I have noticed that he gets grumpy between 1 and 3 in the afternoon, when he is boxing up shoes. When you leave you know what is being done, how much and when it will be ready. I will never walk into another Cobblestone shoe repair store. I received an email saying that ladies heel caps were 50% off the regular price of $12.95 for the entire month of December. When I took my two pair of heels into the store the employee told me that my shoes did not qualify for the discount because they weren't stilettos and they were going to be more expensive than what they said their normal $12.95 price was. A total joke. I also had a purse repaired there last year and it cost a fortune and the repair didn't hold. I will never go back. For what they charge I can throw my old shoes away and buy new ones. I wish I could give this place less than one star. My husband needed new soles for his work boots. We brought his boots to cobblestone and the saleswoman told us they would put Vibram soles on his boots and showed us on the wall what they would be like. We were very happy with that. 2 weeks later we picked up the boots and they did not have Vibram soles on them. The soles they put on were slippery and very thin. My husband took them back and asked them to replace the soles again with the ones they originally told us would be put on. The saleswoman gets upset and told him they probably thought they were dress shoes. These are work boots... they don't look like dress shoes and the fact is she told us they would put think Vibram soles on them and they didn't. So they took the shoes back and said they would fix them. 3 weeks later we get a text saying they are done. We come to pick them up just to be told that they decided they aren't going to fix them. Why did you keep them 3 weeks just to say you won't fix them. Then they only gave us $20 back when we paid them $100 to re sole them.
