I'm really torn on this review. I brought in a pair of cowboy boots to have the left boot stretched. My left foot is bigger than my right foot, unfortunately. When I brought them in, the person who took my order, said it would be 7 to 10 days until they're done. That's where the runaround started. I called on day seven to see if they were done. The individual at the counter said it can sometimes take 2 to 3 weeks. I said they told me 7 to 10 days when I dropped them off. He came back after taking my ticket number and told me it would be 2 to 3 more days. On day 12 I called and they still weren't done. The person who answered the phone said they had been shipped off to the factory and they weren't even in the store. I told him that's not at all what my understanding was I was when I dropped them off. I understood they would be done in the house and it would be 7 to 10 days. Then he said 7 to 10 BUSINESS days. I told him we were at 12 business days, with 10 of those being business days. Then the story changed again. He said it would take longer because the holidays. Once again, first heard that there was any delay due to the holidays. On day 14, I went into the store. The guy took my ticket and spent about 3 1/2 minutes looking for my boots. They were still being stretched. He said to come back tomorrow. I told him I was leaving and I wouldn't be there tomorrow. He said come back in one hour. I came back in an hour and the boots were done. They looked really good. They fit really well, too. This is where I'm conflicted. The customer service is absolutely terrible. It's probably the worst customer service, I've had any place I've been in a very long time. Whoever's answering the phone has absolutely no clue what's going on in that store. But, the boots were actually pretty good when I got them. The price was reasonable as well. All this to say, because the boots turned out pretty well, that brought on from zero stars to one star. I will never ever go back to this location. It's not worth it to me to deal with the customer service. If you can wait, and don't min abhorrent customer service, this may be your place! read more

I really wanted this to be a great neighborhood find. My experience started out well with the nice lady at the counter, but everything after that was frustrating. I never got a call about when my shoes would be ready, had to go in myself, and then waited 15-20 minutes because they couldn't locate my order. I paid $95 to have my Tory Burch sandals toe post re-wrapped and the sandal polished, but the work was sloppy and the toe area looked and felt worse. They claimed to redo it, but after two weeks and multiple trips back, nothing improved. I even left a voicemail for the owner, Carol, no response. The photos posted are after their service. I have never left a review before, but after my experience here, I am completely baffled on how rude these people could be. I went and took my person for a cleanup which we agreed on $150. I got a call saying they needed a few extra days to do a clean which I was fine with and when I went to go pick it up today they tried to charge me $275. I told him that wasn't the price and absolutely I would not be paying that. They had to call a guy who started calling me names, telling the employees not to let me leave with my purse, and was telling the staff that I was taking advantage of them when they were the ones who were changing the price without my consent or any prior agreements . I almost broke down in tears, completely in shock on how they were treating me. I finally paid the 150 and left but just pre-warning people this place is a complete scam. read more

Called earlier in the week and went by to get heels on my boots replaced. i needed them by the weekend and staff (which is nice) called the person who was going to do the repair and said that it could be completed by that time. When I went to pick them up, they forgot to do the repair and offered their apologies. Apologies don't help when I first asked if it could be done. Now I need to make other plans. If someone says they can do something, then you wish to believe them. But if you cannot, then state that so that I can find other options. I had my husband drop off a pair of shoes for heel repair. When my husband told me the price was going to be $75. I called cobblestone the immediately and said do not repair the shoes I will pick them up. I went by to pick up the shoes, they couldn't find them so I asked them not to repairshoes again. I will pick them up when they find them. When I stopped by again to pick up the shoes I was told they had been sent out to be repaired. Again, I told them don't repair them, find them and I'll come and pick them up. When I was told my shoes can be picked up they had been repaired and I owed them the $75. I had asked them several times not to repair the shoes and I feel like they did it anyway so that I would have to pay $75. I will not go back to cobblestone. They are far too expensive and they repaired a pair of shoes I asked them not to repair. I went back a number of times. I dropped my cowboy boots off here because I had a cut in the toe through the leather. Asked the worker if they could fix my boot. He told me they could put toe caps on the toes to cover the cut. I ask him if the leather would match. He said yes. I asked him if they would stitch the caps on he said yes. I was told the boots would be done in 2 weeks. When I picked them up they we caped with fake leather and glue. The leather didn't match. They charged me $86 dollars and had me wait 2 weeks to get my boots back just for them to glue fake leather on the toes which probably took 2 minutes. read more

I brought my expensive Fry boots in 2 months ago to have the top of the boots dyed the same as the bottom as they had faded from the original lavender to a pale grey. I went in after 3 weeks and the boots were not dyed on the top at all, just re-dyed the foot part. So I left them again, after another month I had to call them several times as they could not locate my boots. They never returned my call as promised. I finally got ahold of the manager, my boots were located, when I went in they were dyed a dark purple!!! Trying to talk to the guy at the front desk was worthless. I sent a pair of boots in for to have the shaft shortened. When I picked up the boots two weeks laste, nothing had been repaired. Called them and they had no answer or reason why they weren't repaired. They told me to bring the boots back in. Took the boots back to Cobblestone Shoe Hospital on a Monday and had to wait over 24 hours for any information- still no real explaination. I needed the boots by Friday but they could not repair my boots in that time frame. They did offer to mail the boots. It took almost 2 weeks for me to get the boots after the second "repair". Surprisingly, the boots were NOT touched AGAIN. When I called the managed told me she didn't know if she could refund my money! TERRIBLE SERVICE and they still have no explainatin of why the boots were never touched or cut off! RIP OFF! Finally got my boots back but they were NEVER repaired or touched. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Total rip off. They repaired a shoe strap and it was still too loose. Took back to redo and they charge $30. Again. So I paid $60. For strap to be tightened. I was so shocked. The rude man who helped me said "well you told us how much to take off. We don't just do it for free. That would be stupid" First off I never told them how much to take off. I found this cobbler on google and decided to give them a try being they were right down the road from me. I had a nearly brand new running shoe with a tear needing to be patched up. They said it wouldn't be an issue and their work was very good and has held up the last two months without issue. I feel their price was a bit high for what I needed and they also could not extend me their military discount because I did not tell them about it until pickup. I brought my saddlebags in on November 1st for repairs they sat awaiting for the whole month of November I was charged $125 per zipper for two replacements $50 for a inside outside patch $120 for conditioning to total $420 when I called on December 4th no work had been done I told the manager to forget the service and that I would come in to get my bags and take my business elsewhere then magically the work was done and I picked them up today I was charged $420 plus $45 in tax the customer service was total garbage the pricing for services rendered was GREED at its finest I will never deal with this company again under any circumstances and would warn AGAINST doing any business with this location read more

After having my Loubs and I so badly treated at the Hulen location (see review and pics) I was advised to take them here. I was greeted by Roger who informed me he was instructed to send my shoes out for immediate repair. The next day the upper management person called along with Roger as well to let me know my Loubs were ready. As I went in to pick my shoes up my heart was racing. I have taken boots to this location in the past for what I would call "minor" work with no complaints, but I'm not a cobbler so I don't know anything about shoe repair. Recently, I took a pair of boots that were near and dear to me, not worth much monetary value but they were the last gift my mom gave me over a decade ago. They had seen better days and needed a resole. A female customer service girl was who helped me and she was great, pulled out the vibram catalogue and I was just in dream land. I wanted to change the look of the boots but retain them for another decade more. I went with the thick christy in a camo pattern. They said it's be 2 weeks, and while it took about 4 I was so pleased with the result. I got tips from the cashier and a gentleman that was super personable and enthusiastic about the work that they do. I can't speak for all that they do but this resole looks and feels exactly like what I envisioned. The lady told me she couldn't provide me with a quote to repair the item and would need to facetime the owner, who of course didn't answer. They called two days later and said they would charge $60 to sew a 12" straight line on the suitcase. I told them no thank you, that their prices were too high and would be in to pick up the item. I forgot to pick it up the following week, a week later received a call stating if I did not pick it up today, they would throw it out tonight. What terrible customer service! I understand I forgot to pick up the item, but to jump right to throwing the item out if I didn't pick it up that day is really uncalled for. I will never go here again, especially now that I see the other one star reviews wishing they were zero stars. Avoid this place with all costs. read more

I took a pair of boots here to be resoled. Went to pick them up, as originally scheduled, the soles were barely attached. They apologized and said they would fix them. Came back two weeks later, they claimed to have fixed them but the soles were still barely attached. I asked for a refund (I had already had to replace my boots because it was now 2 weeks past when I needed them and they said they would be ready), they said they would fix them again and refused to refund. Just went to pick them up and they claimed that 'the owner had personally repaired them'. As best I can tell, they have not done a thing since I was last in and refused to refund me again. If I could give this place no stars, I would. I dropped my leather Louboutin so Kate's off to cobblestone a week ago. I received a text stating they were ready. The service was to add the rubber sole and condition the leather. I came in today and i can't tell you how furious i am! The soles do not look great, and the worst part of while they were measuring the sole to the shoe, they CUT A SLICE in my shoe!!!!! I even had pictures to prove it was not there before. No one even said they were sorry or anything! They keep saying we have been in business for years and we do many Louboutins.... i don't care about any other that. All i care about is my shoes. I do not trust them to fix this because the job i requested was easy and now look..... i only came to this location because of a great yelp review about their Loubs. At this point, I will let them try to repair their work, but even then I don't really want to because look what happened! Does anyone know of anyone else that could be a great cobbler! I used cobblestone shoe hospital off camp Bowie for the first time. I went to the one off Hulen first and they quoted me 100 for my repair. Since that was outside of my price range I decided to try some other places. I took my item to the camp Bowie location and they quoted me 50! That's half off from the Hulen location. I do have to say at both locations the front end staff were nice. The item I got repaired was some small pieces of leather on my Louis Vuitton bag. I was trying to rehab it in the most affordable way. They quoted me a week and a half repair time however it was much quicker. I dropped it off on a Saturday and got it back on a Wednesday! I'm so happy with the work. They matched my patina leather on the bag pretty good and yellow stitching. I will be back should I ever need their services again. read more

My first time going and definitely will NOT be back. I had a pair of shoes that they quoted for the price of 25 dollars. It had to be washed again and got no phone call or message asking me if that was ok. So I went ahead and paid it asking the guy if he would give me a discount because they looked horrible. He got an attitude and I said there was no need for it just unhappy with how it turned out. Then he coned me saying he would give me a discount to paint them. I said ok. The young girl that works there, gives quotes as well, so she is not just taking your items and giving you a ticket, she is making decisions on quotes. She was the rudest person I have encountered in a long time. Although the quote she gave me to repair my shoes was way too high, I likely would have gone with it because there are NOT enough shoe repair places in the neighborhood to go elsewhere.....or I think MOST people would. She had zero reason to be rude the minute she first spoke to me. She clearly had 'bad attitude' and 'I hate my life' coming out of her expression on her face, which looked like disgust. The older gentleman in the store (guessing the owner) was almost just as unpleasant the time before that I took like 8 pairs of boots in for refurbishing and spend a couple hundred dollars on them. Not only did it take 20 minutes to check in two pair of dress shoes for resoleing (there was no one else in the store but me,) but I then had to follow up weekly to get the shoes back once they were done - each time being told that I should call back in a week or so to see if they were in. My favorite pair of Sperry penny loafers have been restored to better than brand new condition. I contacted Sperry and was informed that they no longer make that shoe. i was about to trash them.
