I have been coming here for awhile. The consistency in quality of the nails has been good. However the service has been pretty hit or miss. Today I was so excited to get my nails done for the first time in awhile. The girl at the front counter was less than friendly when she asked me to come back 2 hours later (which was fine considering I had just walked in) I didn't mind so I made an appointment. I returned at my designated time and proceeded to wait 40 minutes. I was already crunched for time but it was very clear that they were not going to be getting to me for awhile. Was given a half hearted apology by the girl at the front desk and the manager just ignored the whole instance. After 6 years of being a loyal customer despite their lousy service on more than one occasion I am officially done. read more

Sophia is a rock star! I started seeing her when I moved to AZ 2 years ago. About a year ago I moved from the Tempe area and tried other salons in my new area, they were ok but they were not Sophia. I now drive about 30 miles one way every two weeks so that the best nail tech in town can do my nails. The salon is clean and everyone is friendly. This is my new favorite nail salon! I've been trying to find a good nail salon for 2 months, and am so happy I found Cobblestone. I was a walk-in for a pedicure and manicure for myself, and pedicures for my two daughters. They did a lovely job with our pedicures, but I was most impressed with the manicure because it lasted almost a full week on my nails without chipping (I usually chip on Day 2). Price is very reasonable, space is clean, the techs and staff are very friendly and courteous with a great eye for detail. read more

I've gone to Cobblestone for years, but won't after today. My two girlfriends and I had appointments at 9:30 which is what they said they had available. I had to be home around 10:30 to nurse my son. At 9:50 I asked them how much longer and they said 10-15 minutes. We asked why it was taking so long and the receptionist said they had 9:00 appointments. I asked to speak to the owner who wasn't in. We ended up leaving without any services because I had to get home. This is now the second time this has happened to me. We will all find other nail locations. read more

I have been to Cobblestone multiple times and have always been happy with the service I received, however this last time I went the nail tech (Sandra, Sandy? I'm not 100% sure but the day on the far right side on the back side of the entry wall.) seemed to be truly PISSED to be sitting there doing my nails. She was not only rude, but actually quite mean at multiple points during my appointment. At one point I even asked if there was a problem or if I had said something to bother her (which would have been difficult since she tried very hard not to speak to me the entire appointment) and she just rolled her eyes and never replied. I have truly never been treated so poorly at a nail salon. No lotion or massage at the end of a 60 dollar manicure or anything. Just a truly unpleasant person. I still recommend you go here because the owners are wonderful and every other nail tech I have had was great- but only as long as you specifically ask to not have this nail tech. read more

Very young and inexperienced girl did my husbands nails and toes today! Wanted to treat him to a mani/pedi and he didn't even get a foot rub or massage! Also we need to file corners of all nails as they are way to sharp. Very disappointed and a waste of money! read more

Went to Cobblestone yesterday and was NOT impressed with my experience. I went here with a friend of mine as we were referred here by another friend. The staff was rude and made you feel as if they were talking about you and laughing at you the entire time. I also felt very rushed. My friends foot was cut during her pedicure and the lady just kept trying to force her foot back in the water and continue - even though she could not stop bleeding. I work in the beauty service industry and let me tell you, that is so wrong as for how sanitation procedures should be handled. And the nail tech didn't even seem the slightest bit apologetic. I was getting my nails done and got cut many times around my cuticles. I felt as if being fast was more important than the quality of their work. My SNS manicure is super uneven and I have little cuts all around my cuticles. It's too bad because this place has a beautiful environment but the staff and quality of work is terrible. HORRIBLE experience. We had called in advance to book appointment for my daughters birthday. I explained over the phone how many gel nails and how many pedicures we would have. 7 of us. She said they had 6 staff members and would be short but could start on us. I said that was fine. I had told her on the phone that I would arrive first and the rest of the party would arrive shortly after. In store, i had to explain who was getting gel nails, and pedis at least 3 times, even though this was discussed already.. Due to traffic and timing the rest of my party wasn't sure if they were coming. I let her know this. They started on my daughters and dads and I was picking out my color. When I went to sit down, I had mine and my daughter feet soaking. When starting, I had to tell the nail lady that I wanted pedicure and gel nail polish. The male nail tech took my daughter, and he knew everything he was doing without question. I sat maybe 5 minutes with my toes soaking, and she came and started on cutting a filing. Someone had walked in and just sat down, and in the midst of my service she got up and left me there and did a full gel set on this other person who walked in. While everyone else is done and wrapped up, she then comes back and quickly rushes, not even pushing my nail back or cutting cuticles thoroughly. Then she said, what color? I handed her the color. ANNOYED she says, "you want the gel?" And looked at her co worker and said something and scoffed again, "gel?" I said yes. Gel 3 times, I told you which one I wanted once I sat down. She got up annoyed grabbed the polish and did a fast polish and was done. Didn't say thank you, nothing just got up and walked off. My father had paid extra for Callus remover and they literally rushed through his. They had no idea what was going on. And I had to repeat myself over and over and over. Only 4 of us ended up getting nails done. Whoever the male was last night who did my daughters, THANK YOU. You were the best thing out of the experience. Mind you I went in at 4:30. With only 2 people getting serviced. So it wasn't late or busy. No excuse for the service we got. read more

The very best! I've been coming here for over 10 years and my nails have always stayed on and looked wonderful. Last month I was in SF longer then expected so I went to a salon up there. It was horrible. Dirty, old, old old drying devices and my nails started to lift in 3 days. You know how they say, "You never know how good you've got it until you try somebody else." I will never go anyplace but Cobblestone-ever! It is super clean, so friendly and they have the best massaging chairs and equipment. I have been going to Cobblestone for about 5 years now and I love it. My friend use to do my nails but when she moved out of state I was dreading looking for a new salon. Cobblestone is close to my home and I had been there before with friends for a pedicure so I decided to stop in to see if I could get a full set put on. Su, the owner, did a wonderful job, I have received so many complements on my nails and I never have a problem with them lifting or breaking. With a custom/modern decor' and professional flare, the owner has an impeccable staff! My nails look fabulous even after 3 weeks - no lifting, breakage and coats of gel keep them shinny! I am a very frequent customer, I absolutely adore this nail salon. The staff is very friendly and easy to understand. I haven't once had a problem. This salon is very clean and it is a great size. They do get pretty busy but they always accept walk-ins as long it isn't prom weekend. I usually have Jason do my acrylic gel nails and he does amazing, he always makes sure that I am in love with my nails. Congratulations, Cobblestone Nails, you're my first Yelp review! Unfortunately, it's not a good one. I came here after just moving back to Phoenix at the recommendation of one of my most trusted friends who has been coming here for 10 years. This was my third visit and while I thought it was a bit pricey the last two times I came, I was pleased with the results. This time, however, the results were completely unacceptable. I got new gel put on my nails last Wednesday and by the next day a part of my left index finger had chipped off. I don't do any heavy lifting or work heavily with my hands so how this happened is beyond me. I went back to have it fixed Friday morning, no problem. By Saturday evening half of the gel on my left thumb had been ripped off after I tried opening a can of soda. I got that fixed on Monday afternoon. Here we are today, on a Tuesday and less than a week after I had this gel originally put on, and now the ring finger on my right hand has the gel peeling off. I have never had this poor of an experience with gel or acrylics in my life and for $25-$35 (it's an extra $10 for glitter) I'd expect the product to last AT LEAST seven full days without chipping. I believe my experience is an outlier considering how many loyal customers this salon has but to say I'm extremely disappointed with the experience I've had over the last week would be an understatement. I plan on going back tomorrow, for my fourth time in seven days, to have this nail fixed before going out of town this weekend but sadly I can't say I plan on coming back after that. read more

The couple that own this place are truly good people, Aileen and Su. They care about their clients and respond quickly to concerns. My husband and I have been coming to this place for years and have never had a bad experience. We have had new people work on us when we walked in without an appointment, but the owners always made sure the job was done right. You should make an appointment if going in on the weekend or have a busy schedule. Our second choice place when they are busy and we haven't planned is very nice, but doesn't have the same level of care, pink isn't always posh. read more

I thought I had finally found a nail salon that I was absolutely in love with. I loved my nails after having them done and thought they were so cute. I started recommending the salon to everyone who complimented my nails, coworkers and friends. Well, less than a week after having them done, a nail broke. I thought "it happens- I'll go get it fixed tomorrow". Well, hours later another one just fell off. I was really confused, considering I haven't been rough on the nails. I started to check the other ones and found how they're all coming up already after less than a week of having them. The only ones done well are my thumbs. I do not know the names of the girls who "helped" my friend and I what I do know is that as a stylist i am embarrassed to have recommended this place to my client and friend. The pedicure was mediocre at best. The massage was great if your idea of a massage was having your let pet in the same spot for 5 minutes while they speak among themselves all the while wondering how much more of this you can really take before a blister starts to form on your shin. The hot stones were hot- as expected.. they seemed to take a lot of pleasure in throwing those on your legs with no warning at all and searching for that little pain in your eyes while you gasp for air trying not to scream. Really the best part outside of it being over was when the girls literally laughed at my friend for not having cash to tip her with. As if the $5 she told you to charge to her card for your tip wasn't more than you deserved for that pathetic excuse for a "luxury service". It was a mere common courtesy to tip you at that point and i found it very hard to wipe the "are you F***ing kidding me" look off of my face. You are not required a tip.. you earn a tip.. a tip is a gift from someone who appreciates your time and effort.. you gave no effort and your lucky the people you happened to be rude to that day still tipped you as I imagine that's not always the case. read more

So this isn't my first time at this Salon but it will be my last. I stopped by because my regular salon was booked. So I called and they said they were able to do a gel mani for me. So when I arrived I was seated and they wrapped my nails. I waited a good 15 mins prior to starting. The girl broke one of my nails and did horrible job on my cuticles. My french mani looks like I did it at home and it's peeling. The kicker is when I went to pay they charged me a $3 removal fee, what! So I paid $33 total for a flimsy gel mani. Stay away there are better quality nail salons out there. Save yourself the heartache. read more

I tried this nail salon for the first time today. I called to ask if they had a chair available for a pedicure and asked the price. The woman told me $15. I said, wow, that's cheap! $15 for a pedicure? She said yes. It actually costs $23 for a basic pedicure. The woman spent 20 minutes on me---seriously the shortest pedicure I'd ever had. It looks good, but for me, half the reason I go is for the leg massage. Worst and quickest massage ever. She was not friendly. Too bad because it is an attractive space close to my home. read more

Well, I've been to this place many times throughout the years but my recent visit will be the last! Me and my daughter went for manicures. Her nail artist while very nice, did a terrible job: left several cuticles ragged, polish was on the skin and the whole lot chipped in three days! My nail artist also very polite, was heavy handed trimming my cuticles-left me bleeding on a few fingers-and left several fingers untouched completely! All in all, we could have done a better job ourselves and saved $50! read more

THE nicest people you will ever meet. I have been going here once per week for a few weeks for polish changes. They do a great job and make it an enjoyable experience. It is very clean inside and nicely decorated. I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes and they never seem rushed. I usually have my 3 year old with me who sits on my lap, and they talk with her and make her smile. I am finally getting to writing a review because of a wonderful experience I had today. I decided to take my two girls in for Valentine's day nail painting as a special treat. My oldest went first and I was watching with my other daughter on my lap. My youngest accidentally bumped a bottle of nail polish off the table which proceeded to smash all over the floor. I was mortified. They immediately began telling me "don't worry, don't worry!" And my daughter was looking pretty sad because she knew she messed up. They were coming up to her and saying "don't be sad, it's ok!" Afterward when they wanted to charge me next to nothing for doing the girls' nails, I wanted to leave a large tip as an apology and a thank you. They wouldn't let me! So of course I did anyway and just told the gals to split it. I still feel terrible about the mess but am amazed at how nice they were about it.
