It was initially difficult finding someone who would take on such a small job, and put in the time and attention to match it to the surrounding area. Juan arrives the next day in the morning, we assess the job and the bricks I've set aside for the work. He points out that the bricks are the wrong size but says he can make it work. This actually is a follow up review. Earlier, Coby and Juan fixed one block wall, which had some loose pieces and reinforced another stretch of block wall so that a new wrought iron fence could be installed on top of it. The work was done expeditiously and well. As a past customer, I reached out to Coby about work that another masonry contractor had recently done, which was already cracking. He gave of his own time to look at the issues and advise me. No one else (that I know) would do that. He truly is a stand up guy, in my opinion, and I recommend him. read more

First I should say that I reached out to three well reviewed local contractors to do a small job fixing a section of pool coping that was cracking and separating. Coby was the only one that even replied. Coby replied quickly and the estimate process was efficient. Price was fair too. I got clear communication from Coby when his employee would arrive. Sometimes you really get lucky! I needed someone who would be willing to fill an old dirt flower bed around the edge of our TownHome patio. I just wanted simple bricks, but was totally blown away by the finished product, It looks! AMAzing! Juan, the artisan who works for owner Coby, made the drab area come alive. This is my 3rd update since I am a repeat customer and my 3rd completed project. In a word: Awesome. (See my before, during and after marble shower photos) To recap: -Coby co is responsive via email -We agreed on an estimate, in which they do everything except I buy the marble replacement pieces to be installed. Which I prefer since I want to match the color patterns as close as possible. -Very honest people running and working for Coby Co. This is why, the estimate was one price, but I added more work to it, so Coby suggested a time based rate knowing that Juan was very efficient. I still preferred a fixed rate. So I offered one and Coby Co accepted. At the end of the job Coby Co adjusted the price Downward a bit based on the job which took about 1.5 days versus 2 full days. I was pleasantly surprised at the discount! Yelpers..very trustworthy company here. -I am continually impressed with Juan. His overall professionalism and skill. Juan arrived at 7am on the dot..both days (actually a bit earlier). -Juan is a HARD WORKER and VERY EFFICIENT. On day one of the project he worked straight non-stop from 7am until 3:30pm (Coby Co's working hours)... [I bought Juan lunch so he would'nt have to drive] he got tons done using his extensive array of tools for the job...removed tiles to be replaced, prepared the area for new marble tiles including cutting and shaping tiles as needed all the way to applying thinset to paste the tiles to the shower wall..all of this took the entire day. It would have taken me several weeks to do this with my limited tools and time after work and weekends; Juan did this in 8 hours! The next day he applied the grout and cleaned up the area. -Juan was very respectful of my home, being neat and clean in his work, very methodical. -Afterwards he vacuumed and cleaned up the work area and left the bathroom cleaner than when he came. He even rolled up the brown paper I laid on the ground to keep a walkway that can prevent the floors from getting dirty. -Wow, wow, wow, wow! -I am going to ask Coby Co for an estimate to put either cement or bricks to fill up a small planter / flower bed area which pools water when it rains. This will be my 4th job with them. -I wish Coby Co all the success, with their work ethic, skill and professionalism with customers I am not at all surprised with the 5 star reviews on Yelp read more

No job is too small. We recently moved to a new home with an old Intercom system at the front door embedded in the brick of the home. When we removed it to put a new more modern door bell/cámara It left a gaping hole. Coby was very responsive, evaluated the job thru pictures and had someone there the NEXT day. Of course the brick was old and not available but Juan did a fantastic job in locating a brick and filling the hole as if was never there. What a nice man and a great worker. I had a section of full brick veneer that had sunk over the last 20 years. They took down the loose section, added metal ties to the house and put the bricks back in with new mortar. We were referred to Coby-Co when Scott Whiting retired his Brick Fix company and his mason Juan went to work for Coby. We had been exasperated in trying to find a contractor that would re-do our front patio with a three foot planter wall. We needed a design-build scenario with creative and construction advice from the contractor. We had several contractors who couldn't wrap their heads around our job. So we were thrilled to find Coby-Co and have Juan as our primary mason, while Coby handled the bidding and job coordination. This job took place in June. We knew Juan was good, and we found Coby to be incredibly friendly, dependable and trustworthy. The two of them worked with us to solve every design problem and Juan did all the construction under the time frame we wanted. We just couldn't be happier with the quality of work and appearance of this planter wall. Juan also did great tile work on the patio. He showed up 15 minutes early every day, and worked long hours by himself. The pricing was fair, and they kept to their schedule and managed the job with zero hassles or worries. Our neighbors still talk to us about what a hard worker Juan was, when he was working alone in the front of our house all day for 2 weeks. But their work is the Big Deal. Juan repaired root-damaged bricks and a very uneven front walk. His work is superb. He is an artist. And he offered creative solutions for some tough problems.
