We stopped by this restaurant while shopping at the outlet, and I have to say the atmosphere was the highlight of our visit. It was colorful, welcoming, and pleasant, the staff were friendly and attentive, and our food arrived hot. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. I ordered the chicken fajitas, expecting a generous serving of chicken. Instead, there were only a few thin strips of grilled chicken, while the sizzling platter was mostly onions and green peppers. It was very disappointing for the price. A family member ordered the spicy bowl, and it was even more disappointing. The presentation and overall appearance were very unappetizing. Even after taking the leftovers home, hoping we could improve the flavor, it still looked and tasted disappointing. It simply wasn't something we enjoyed. Overall, the food did not meet our expectations and was not worth the money. While the atmosphere and service were good, the quality and value of the food fell far short. Sadly, I won't be returning, and based on my experience, I can't recommend this restaurant. read more

Checked out Pooler's newest Mexican restaurant and there were a few hits and misses. The esthetic of the restaurant is bright, clean, and very trendy. We arrived around 8:15pm so the dinner rush was over. A couple came in right behind us and sat at the bar and there was only one other table in use while we were there. I saw a few people come in to pickup carry-out orders. The service was lacking greatly. The staff was friendly but it was hard to keep refills for drinks and chips. The queso was delicious, chips were thin and crispy, and the salsa had some spice to it. The Chicken Chimichangas with a side of rice and refried beans was delicious. Would definitely order again. The Texas Fajitas we ordered without the vegetables. The meat was overcooked to the point of charred and only came with approximately 3 quarter sized shrimp - a bit of a disappointment. The Barbecue Fajitas said that it was cooked in a "house barbecue sauce" but was very reminiscent of Sweet Baby Rays. Very tasty! La Parrillada for Two had good seasoning, beef heavy, and fell short with shrimp as well. The kids Cheese Quesadilla - home run!!! One comment from the kids were that the beans were hot, as in temperature. They said that they had never had refried beans that were at a hot temperature!!! With that, the food was served quickly and was hot. We were celebrating so decided to order the Churros and the Flan. The menu stated that the churros were filled with caramel but there was definitely a strawberry filling as well. Still good but unexpected. The flan was a good and standard Mexican flan. I would definitely return. Portions were great! Flavor was there. Just need more shrimp and more attentive service. read more

I tried Cocina's recently for my birthday after seeing people post about the viral frozen margarita. Unfortunately, the machine was down so I wasn't able to try it. Instantly as we walked in it took a while to be seated, even though they weren't super busy. When we sat down we had to request the table to be cleaned up as it was still dirty. Overtime it got busy and you could notice they were very short staffed, as our waitress was acting as hostess and waitress. Overall the food and drinks were decent, they just need more staff and the experience could have been better. read more

Today Jordan, the kids, his parents and I went to celebrate Jordan's birthday at Cocina Mexican Restaurant and we all had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. I got the Texas Fajitas, Jordan's parents shared the Parrillada for two, Olivia had the quesadilla, and Joel ordered fajitas with chorizo. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and served in great portions. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated and the Mexican music playing in the background created a fun and welcoming atmosphere. It made the whole birthday celebration feel even more special. Definitely a great spot for family dinners and celebrations! read more

We have been here at least 3 times in the past month. We keep coming back because the food and drinks are always sooo good!! They make THE best mojitos! We've had their chicken enchiladas, carne asada tacos and arroz texano. Everything has been fresh and taste great. Service is always quick and friendly as well. This has become our favorite spot and we're VERY picky about our Mexican food. If you're looking for authentic, fresh Mexican food - then this is the spot. Oh also, the tortilla chips are made fresh and are always warm when delivered to the table! read more

Passing through town when we found this Mexican restaurant. We got three different entrees and some sides off of the lunch menu and the regular menu and the food was the best Mexican food I have had in a very long time. Restaurant decor was nice, the space was clean. Upon receiving the menu, I was instantly concerned, I believe there are over 100 items on there. I feel with a menu that large, it is impossible to make everything great, which is what I found with the food. The food was just ok, but I have a feeling the shrimp may have been previously cooked, frozen, then reheated, they had a strange texture to them. This is the first time I can remember my wife and I not eating all the shrimp on our plates. If they were fresh, they didn't taste like it. What a treasure! We stopped by late during the weeknight. From our first step in - it was so wonderful. Chips & salsa arrived very quickly and wow what a treat.
