This was a last minute choice & by far the best food we've had in Savannah so far! The flavors & combinations of each dish were so unique + refreshing! Menu is small & I bet you wouldn't go wrong with anything you choose. We also got chips & salsa (not pictured), it wasn't spicy but a great amount to finish with a very small kick toward the end. I had the tuna poke tostada. I've been to hundreds of Mexican places and hundreds of sushi places, but I've never had anything like this. it was absolutely delicious. I guess the closest thing would have been ceviche tostada in Ensenada. It was fresh crispy creamy and the Valentina just kicked it over the top. Bull Street Taco never disappoints! While the restaurant is smaller--the option of indoor, outdoor and bar seating offers something for everyone. It has a cool, hip vibe but I wouldn't recommend this place for large parties. Chips and salsa are NOT complimentary; but still worth ordering. I got the street taco combo-- 3 chicken tacos with cucumber tajin salad. Their chicken tacos are soooo good! The meat is marinated with something yummy, but the basil crema with fresh squeezed lime... OMG delish! The cucumber salad was really good too. Our party of 4 were seated outdoors right away and tended to quickly. The service was good, the mocktails were deliciously refreshing especially the pomegranate and the ginger fizz ones, and the appetizers and entrees were amazingly good. I had this restaurant bookmarked on yelp for quite some time, and been anticipating eating from here. I love Mexican food and I have been hearing good reviews, so 1 day I was like why not. Unfortunately I was on my lunchbreak and unable to go in person to eat, so I did the next best thing, Doordash! When I received my food, I was greeted with a nice smelling arouma in a nicely packaged box. On first glance I was amazed by the colors of the ingredients, which captivated my attention, but was slightly disappointed with the portion size. Im an athletic man with a small gut, and I love Foood! With that being said, me and big portions get along well. However even tho this meal looked small, it packed a punch. I wish I could love this place. I really like it. I would go back again if I was in the area, for the vibe, or because it's nearby some cool independent shops, or because the outdoor area was a great place to enjoy the shade and a drink. And let me say, loved the service. Laid back, but not pretentious. Easily sat without a wait. Welcoming atmosphere. I just did not care for the food. I had the queso fundido, baked cheese made with chorizo. Chips were meh, the cheese was bland. I couldn't really detect much seasoning. I followed with three tacos: carnitas (Serrano and avocado salsa, pickled pineapple), Baja fish (tempura fried cod, tomatillo buttermilk cream, grape tomato crud, cabbage), and chorizo (cotija, potato, chipotle cream, with sunny side up egg). A for effort, but I just didn't get much from any of the tacos. Missing seasoning, missing that "oomph" of flavor. Honestly, the best thing I had was the juicy, refreshing cucumber tajin salad. The margaritas (I had the premium and I think the special raspberry poblano margarita). Both were fine, very drinkable, though nothing mind-bending. If anything I would come back here for drinks. They have some fusion dishes, like a turkey club taco, a gila burger, a charred vegetable guacamole. They have various tacos, a tostada, falafel, and some entrees (burrito, tuna poke salad, moon bowls). This isn't true Mexican or true street tacos. Maybe a fusion or a concept that just hasn't quite figured itself out yet. But I wouldn't count this place out. Might not be my cup of tea (and if I could have given it 3.5, I would have, but it wasn't a 4 for sure)--but other people might like it, and it deserves your independent consideration. And again, near tons of cool Starland district venues, so you could chill here during a leisurely artsy shopping day. read more

Popped into this place based on its yelp reviews and once again yelp comes thru more than any other app when I'm on the road. The chips were hot and fresh, the salsa was tasty, and the tacos were exceptional. Halfway thru my meal it began to torrentially downpour which canceled my plans, but I'm kinda glad it did! Bull Street Taco was such a lovely find! This hip, eclectic, energetic environment was in a well-populated location right on Bull Street! We were greeted warmly right on the street as we approached and were offered so many seating options, inside, outside, or right in the middle on the patio! What a treat! The service was quick and the options were abundant! This menu offers the opportunity to mix and match and try a large array of menu items! I wanted to really love this place. When I arrived I waited for a seat at the bar. As a seat came available I walked towards it and then some other person ran ahead of me and grabbed it. I was pushed to the side. I made a complaint about it and felt I was just overlooked and was not attended to. The food here is good but the services is lacking. I'll give it another try, but the need to work on customer service and honoring those that arrive and wait for a seat....the people that stole my seat had just arrived and literally shoved me out of the way when I was headed to sit down read more

Went here once and it was good, but unfortunately, not sure if the meat was going bad or what but everything we had with definite tasted off the tuna tostada was wonderful and there was a special when we went. This was a while ago, so we'll probably try it again and hopes of a better review was the chorizo burger we did enjoy that. Again the beef I don't know if it was a seasoning or something was going. To say the food was alright would be an overstatement. My daughter yelled until we let her spit out the fish taco into a napkin. My mom bit the fish taco once and left it on the plate. I say that to say don't order the fish taco or you will be disappointed or disgusted (one of those). Two of the waiting staff asked how everything was and I smiled, while my ma said the drinks were good. By the way my waitress was sweet but she was really good with service. She never brought us straws we asked for, I ended up having to get them from the bar myself. My daughter was half way finish with her food before she finally got the sauce she asked for. We seen the other waiting staff as much as we seen her. I've eaten here a few times over the past year. This was the second time I've had dinner at the bar, and the services wasn't very good on either occasion. We were not made to feel welcome. The bartender acted put-out that we were dining there (it was 9:30 on a Friday night and they serve until 10:00), didn't check on us, and ate her dinner while serving us and others at the bar (unprofessional). The drinks were good and the food was ok (the street corn was great but the tacos were dry). Heard from locals in Savannah that Bull Street Taco was a good option for Mexican food. They are off the beaten trail in a neighborhood with several other new, fresh restaurants. We sat outside on a covered patio that was also pet friendly. The staff was gracious in getting the dogs bowls of water. We ordered the chips and salsa that were very tasty and with a bit of a bite. Obviously, we ordered tacos: braised pork and pickled pineapple (great), chorizo, cotija, chipolte crema and potato (fair), red chili tempura cauliflower with basil crema, chili, toasted sesame (great), Chum's taco with seasoned ground beef, cotija, El Toro sauce and shredded, lettuce (supper salty and not able to eat). The waiter was generous and removed the Chum taco from our bill. I found dining at Bull Street Taco to be average. The tacos were limited with portions of ingredients and not much WOW factor. Surprisingly delicious! Friends and I came here on a Monday evening for dinner around 8, and were seated immediately (parked on the street). Waitress informed us of $5 house margaritas on Mondays, so my sister and I enjoyed those. It was really good. We started with the guacamole (pistachio on the side) and it was good. (It wasn't traditional guac but still could have used salt and a little lime.) I got the cauliflower taco and the Mary Moon Bowl. They were both delicious and flavorful. My sister got the Banh Mi bowl and she loved it. I'll definitely be back to try the other bowls and margaritas. :) read more

Stopped here on the way out of Savannah for some road trippin lunch. Ordered online and it was ready on time. Staff I dealt with briefly was friendly and efficient. Restaurant is nice. Inside isn't too big - didn't see a lot of tables - but they also have a covered out door patio. Assume it's dog friendly, but not positive. I ordered the mojo chicken bowl minus the pineapple. I enjoyed it a lot, but didn't love it. Let's just say it was delicious but I have also had better Mexican bowls. It may just be that I tasted the heat from the jalapeños more than the mojo, so maybe it was a balance issue. Regardless, I wasn't remotely disappointed and I did enjoy my lunch. I decided to try it one day in Savannah a few hours before my Ghost tour. There wasn't a lot of people there yet as it had just opened I believe. There was an amazingly nice guest who was very kind to us! The food was delicious, I recommend the street tacos. As for decorations as Interior, I never got to see the inside, as I choose to sat on the outside. The outside was nice as cozy, we could see a view into the street in front of restaurant. Bull Street Taco is not our only go to Mexican restaurant in Savannah, but it's a great spot for tacos in the downtown area! My husband & I have been here for lunch twice. We always start with Chips & Salsa, as you also should! Their margs are refreshing & a must if you're looking for an adult bev. We've become big fans of the Baja Fish & Red Chile Tempura Cauliflower Tacos. We recently discovered the Micholada Shrimp Taco & that one too is very tasty. The Street Taco Combo is a great way to try a few, so would recommend ordering if you can't decide on just one. See photo attached for a visual from our last visit. Love the option to sit outside or inside. Staff were kind & efficient. Bull Street Taco's vibe was decent and $5 margarita Mondays make it a decent spot for food and drink. For a group of friends this spot is your casual taco spot but tbh I only liked the Chips and Guac. You get a selection of 3 tacos and none of them really impressed me. The bowl was aight, the tacos were aight but being from California I'm a bit spoiled but I don't think any would hold up on the West Coast.
