Once seated it took a few for our drink orders to be taken. Our food order arrived fairly quickly to our table why was good because we were hungry after a days hike. But I was also questioning the fact that we were served so fast with there being a good handful of customers seated as well. Overall the portions were good. No leftovers taken. They seem to offer specials that are posted at entrance. Pretty decent parking as it is shared with a shopping center. They do have a decent sized many so there should be something for everyone. If you prefer slick salsa I would ask for it to be spicy as their salsa is more of a pico style mainly of tomato flavor and not much of a "kick" to it. You can get a decent meal here read more

Home run on our take out order today! My chorizo with eggs was Fire, I asked to add raw jalapenos and potatoes and the cook put in french fries, I have a new dish now. The veggie quesidilla looked amazing and the flour chips were on point, the salsa was FIRE, my sister couldnt finish her enchiladas and they were soooo good she didnt add her avacado. Consistently the best Mexican food in Sonora! The ambiance is pleasant cowboy meets caballero. The metal tables are amazing to rest your arms on during hot days. But it's the food that is the star here. Tamales with red or green sauce are served daily (pick the green sauce and thank me later). They are very good. Their shredded chicken tacos are my favorite; stuffed with slow cooked chicken in a ton of cheese. Their enchiladas are incredible, too, with lots of cheese and piping hot! Their chips and salsa are always spicy good - who doesn't love a semi-spicy salsa? Many other menu items are worth a try, like the chimichangas, the taquitos, and tostadas! You really can't go wrong on their menu. And the service is always fast! They check on you often to make sure you're doing well, and take out is always ready when you are ready. Dear Cocina Management: Anyone in the restaurant industry knows that your patrons come first or you don't have a restaurant. We have been coming here for 13 years and for the most part have had a good experience. Having said that, I am going to you sick, then I'm going to make you well. Today, we came in for the second time since your newly-instituted policy of only providing one refill of chips and salsa, and charging $2.00 extra for "all beef orders" (see attached photo with crookedly-cut paper - does not look professional). Upon asking the waitress the first time we encountered this she said it was to "cut costs". I certainly understand that. With the full understanding that it wasn't her decision,I told her that you were, if fact, unnecessarily taking away something from your patrons and that people don't like having something taken away from them. You have put yourselves in a position to make the patron feel nickle-and-dimed and that isn't a good thing when trying to recover from the loss of business as a result of the Bat Soup Flu. I then provided the following remedy and asked her to pass it on to you, the management. She evidently didn't do that or you chose to follow another course. The fix, I told her was easy. 1) Remove the sign. 2) Remove the policy. 3) Add 5% to all items on the menu. 4) Call it good. Adding 5% to the menu will cover the beef and chips-and-salsa problem and no one will notice or care much if they did. A $12.95 item would now cost $13.59. No one will complain about that. Further, the cost-cutting could happen by reviewing all their other spending except food costs (that'll kill you, too if you cut quality). Administration supplies: Paper, pencils and pens, toner, etc. can all be sourced differently. Staff supplies: aprons, hair nets, gloves, masks, etc, again, can all be re-sourced. Restaurant supplies: do not buy disposable cups, bowls, and those little cups for the salsa. Wash what you have. The plastic cups for the salsa look cheap and that transfers to your restaurant looking cheap. Further, all that waste may likely raise your garbage bill. You get my point and you should feel well, now. The bottom line is this, patron should be the LAST place to cut costs. If you have any questions, I'll be glad to speak with you about this. Oh, and I'm a retired troubleshooter who was damned good in cutting costs and raising the bottom line. read more

This place is great. We are at the Mono Way location. I had Chili rellenos -- they were outstanding. The chilis weren't too over cooked, the sauce yummy. Also had a sope. The carnitas were okay for me -- the recipe wasn't my favorite but the quality was great. My partner in crime loved the carnitas so it's a matter of preference. I think they cook it with cinnamon. Finally we ordered the Diablo shrimp plate. Huge portion, generous on the shrimp. Very tasty. We'll definitely eat here again. read more

A woman was given my order, at some point, and had left. She brought it back, while I was waiting for my food, saying it wasn't hers. First off, the workers had to go through a whole process of voiding and re-charging me more (heaven forbid I don't have to pay another 3 dollars for having to wait the extra amount of time). Then, they tried to give me the food that the woman had left with and returned. Are we not in a pandemic, right now? Who knows where she was and what was done to the food, when it left the building. When I said I was not going to accept the food, the worker told me all the woman did was open it. Are you kidding me? How do you know? Were you there with her? No.... I refused again, and told her I wanted new food. They finally went and made new food. I'm flabbergasted. How many other times have these workers non-chalantly given food that has gone out to other people, without you knowing? This is a disgusting, and dangerous, restaurant practice. Highly recommended if you're looking for a "healthier" alternative at a Mexican restaurant - Molcajete: first time trying this, and it was so good. The portion is huge, and meant for 2 people but I think 3 can eat this too. Comes with shrimp, chicken, beef, and maybe another meat in it. I love how decorative it looked with the cacti in it as well! I would recommend this if you're looking to share a dish. - Green salsa enchilada: straightforward and simple. Comes with rice and beans. - Trio combination: I didn't try this personally but it looks well worth it if you want a little bit of everything. We usually like this restaurant but just had a bad experience. They weren't particularly busy when we got there. Everything seemed fine until we got our food. I ordered a chimichanga with pork. There wasn't much guacamole or sour cream but the dish is $14.50! I've ordered chimichangas at other restaurants and they are more generous with the toppings. Almost 15 minutes goes by and the server didn't care to check on us. She went to other tables to check on them but skipped us entirely like we had the plague or something. I had to get up and approach their counter and asked for a little sour cream, guacamole, and shredded lettuce which they charged an extra $4 for a small bowl of that. After another 15 minutes, still, nobody checked on us and I had to ask the busboy for some extra salsa. The service was severely lacking and rude. read more

My boyfriends favorite mexican restaurant in Sonora. His favorite is the steak and eggs with their delicious sauce they put on it. As for me I'm vegetarian so I ordered their loaded quesadilla last time I went and asked them to switch meat for veggies. It was soooo good!! Plus the waitress told me she switched the sauce that usually cones with it to make sure that was vegetarian for me too. (Sadly most waiters have no clue and do not go above and beyond like that even if I ask). I was impressed by their knowledge and the amazing taste they put into all of their food!!
