THIS place has all the ear marks of the best karaoke dive bars! We were greeted warmly when we walked through the door and the place was already humming with happy energy. Cheerfully conversing diners in booths and folks bellied up to the bar filled up the cozy space. Homey country style decorative touches, strings of white lights, leathery booths, and wood panels create a warm and rustic atmosphere. We came at the tail end of dinner and sadly, we missed the prime rib as they were sold out (get here early for prime rib & close to the action booth seating!). However, we enjoyed our meals, and the service was spot on. Now, this is not a handcrafted cocktail bar experience. This is a what-you-came-for generous pour over ice with your choice of mixer, and they'll just keep coming until you say otherwise. Our waitress, Tiffany, was super personable, friendly, here there & everywhere, and completely at ease with every guest she interacted with. But the main reason we were here was for the fabled karaoke! Roger kicks it off and keeps it rolling. The singers' choices ran from golden era standards to epic rock ballads and everything in between. Sing along, clap, dance in your seat or in the aisle - everybody joins in. There was a great feeling of bonhomie and camaraderie through music here. Whether you're this side of pro or off key with enthusiasm, this is the place for you! Everyone is a star here. Good food, friendly service, stiff drinks, friendly folks, great group of regulars and newbies...bring your positive energy and come on over to the Cock-a-Doodle for a thoroughly fun night out!

First time eating at this restaurant for Valentine's Day. Loved the ambiance of the place and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The food was good. We had the prime rib and the bone in ribeye. My only complaint was both the prime rib and ribeye lacked flavor. Other than that we had a great time and the prices were very reasonable.

The chicken barely had any of the lemon sauce. It was a dry piece of chicken w/ no sauce. Lack of vegetables for a to go order. Mashed potatoes had absolutely no flavor. I heard great things about this restaurant and trying it myself for the first time was very disappointing. Yuck.

Had dinner tonight so I thought I update my old review from a year ago. My wife ordered the chicken cordon blue with mashed potatoes and a salad. It's her go to meal. My go to meal is the prime rib, end cut with baked potato, veggies and caldo de verde soup. As always the food is excellent and the service is better all the time. Next time I will order the porter house and try that. And yes we will be back.

Delicious fluffy pancakes loaded with fresh bananas!

They should've left well enough alone when it used to be an Irish pub same owner I believe and for whatever reason they decided to go with this Mexican Cantina that was just never full of people or really caught on. The prior Irish pub used to have some music and dancing I can't remember maybe on Thursdays or something and it was pretty popular so why they made the change I don't know but now it's permanently closed. Let's get something in here that's well liked and tolerated by everybody that can last a few years instead of every other year there's something new struggling to make it go. Their street tacos and food platters weren't bad and the beer was always cold, it was a quiet place to hide out but I guess that was its downfall sometimes you could be the only one in there or two or three other people and that won't pay the bills in a location that's known for high rent.

Cocktails were decent. But wow $22 a tequila shot surprised me when I paid the bill.

We get wristbands and assigned a table. We were told to wait in another line but we were let in shortly after. We bypass the 80's bar and go to a back room to make it feel like a "speakeasy." They gave us some ground rules and led us to our tables. At the table you have a QR code where you can place drink orders. The bar brings out your drinks to the table. Service was fairly quick and friendly. The drinks were all sweet cocktails and in the "Matterhorn Lodge" theme. There is a 2 drink minimum purchase (per guest) and each drink is $20+ so it can add up. I'm more of a beer person but some of the drinks were delicious. There was one that tasted like Christmas morning (cinnamon, clove, milky) and another drink that had popping boba that was also fun. If you're a butterfinger or peanut butter fan, there was one drink that tasted like it (you'll see it on the drink menu). I wouldn't say the drinks were strong. They do a good job of enforcing the theme. They had a "Yeti" come out and interact with the tables. Good for photo ops. They also had a magician doing a few tricks, and I enjoyed that the most. The place was kept fairly chilly! Even the bathrooms had jokes and signage on the walls that alluded to the alps. Overall a great time. Small venue but pretty chill. Can be pricey. Take a sweater. Good for dates and small groups.

Last time I was there, we showed up just before 8, and there was a line of people with reservations waiting to get in. We were the only people there for 45 minutes and then a few other people showed up. You killed this place and it saddens me. I loved your different themes and vibes and now, I will never go back.

It's hefty, but they have an index in the back which shows all the pictures/descriptions of the food (amazing for any first timers). We ordered the dynamite steamed egg, kimchi cream pasta, cheese buldak (spicy chicken), and chicken gizzard stir fry. The steamed egg (4.8/5) is definitely an upgrade from usual steamed eggs. It's super fluffy and is the perfect start to any meal. They do kimchi pasta (4.5/5) right. It just hits Although I wish there was a bit more, the cheese buldak (4.9/5) is that silent creeper in terms of spice but super delicious (tip: ask for rice so that you can mix it with the leftover sauce). The chicken gizzard stir fry (4/5) is that great balance between chewy and savory. Delicious. The service was amazing. The owner/servers are super attentive and accommodating beyond words. We were sitting near the door and people were smoking outside, so he ended up constantly closing the door and opening to let our dining experience not be negatively affected. Unmatched. They really care about their diners. It's a smaller place, so it can fill up rather quickly. Make sure to plan accordingly. It's definitely worth it.
