It's a pub that serves great food. The place is decorated in a very local bar type way- sports paraphernalia and a dark wood setting. I had their fish and chips and it was really good- in an American way! The server made the meal so much better. She stayed and chit-chatted and seemed to really enjoy working there which says a lot. My friends had burgers and fries and they loved their meals. Overall a great place to get a quick bite to eat.
This has got to be by far the best Chip n fish that you can find anywhere in Kentucky. I've been to the UK and this is about as close as you can get. Cold beer, great service and it made me feel like being back in an English pub. For anyone visiting Covington KY, I would highly recommend going here, you won't be disappointed by any means
Great location, excellent service, delicious food makes for an awesome meal experience! If you have been to Covington Mainstrauss area you know this place. The ambiance provides the history and fun place to enjoy food & drinks. The games were on, the volume was high and everyone was enjoying the day. Our server was top notch and the food was quick and hot. We enjoyed the appetizers and the portions were so large we had leftovers. Can't wait to come back.
The interior looks nice like a old school pub with modern amenity's with an upper floor with a great view. I went on a busy Friday and got my food in five minutes, the food was cooked perfectly and the portions were huge with fair prices. The beer menu was amazing it had many great beers like a rhinegeist dad happy holiday ale. The staff was helpful and obviously know what they were doing if you want some big portions and delicious food this is a place you should go.
I was looking around town for a good burger. The Cock & Bull is open, airy, and it was quiet, so I sat at the large bar. Service was immediate and very friendly. I ordered the mushroom/Swiss burger with tots. The burger was large and perfectly cooked, nice and juicy. The tots were fresh, hot and crispy. Lettuce, tomato and pickles were fresh and excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal, one of the best pub burgers I've ever eaten. Absolute winner of a meal in a great atmosphere.
Service was exceptional! Dinner was as presented and also top notch. Great breading on the fish and a recommendation off the menu. Fries were on point and crispy and the coleslaw was also on point. Coleslaw was exceptional! Winner winner fish dinner!
Great hang out spot in Covington. Wings are really good, they were out of dry rubbed Lemon Pepper so I had to get Buffalo sauce, definitely 9/10. The lady bartender was very nice. I loved the atmosphere and that they have a jukebox!
This is a cute little place in downtown Covington. Their menu has quite a few different options. I had the house salad with the 5 onion soup. The house salad was fresh and crisp and was a spring mix-not cheap iceburg. The 5 onion soup was delicious!! My kiddo had the cheese quesadilla and french fries. The french fries were crispy and tasty. Our service was fine, but not great.
After journeying to downtown Covington in search of burgers we landed on this spot. Our hotel suggested somewhere else which we quickly exited stage left. This is like the neighborhood hang out. I would totally go here every week and try something new every week. I was also set on a burger until I saw the fish and chips. They are crusted in panko was not super greasy. IT WAS DELICIOUS!! My moms burger was equally delightful. But they dropped the first one. Obviously glad they didn't pick it up but brought my food out along with her fries. Lots of food and drinks to choose from. Super friendly staff.
First stop in our recent OH/KY adventures, and it was awesome. Located in historic downtown Covington, KY, we again experienced epic service. We got beers and an appetizer quickly. I had one of my favorite beers, Delirium, and we shared a wonderful pretzel bites with spicy mustard dipping sauce as an appetizer. Cock and Bull is a beautiful English pub, smallish, and was about half full when we came in for a late lunch. We got ourselves a window side hi top and enjoyed our food. I had a really good fish and chips. My wife had a reuben. We were very happy after a long morning of travel. Great food. Great drinks. Great service. We
Went in for the fish and chips. Online showed they were voted best in the city. Fish was crisp and fries were very good. Service was quick and friendly. Would have liked it to be a touch cleaner.
Brought my 14 month old baby here along with my husband and some friends. Service was wonderful!! I ordered the kids grilled cheese for my daughter, she loved it ( so did the adults). Wings, pretzels and fish, all were delicious!! Chili was meh, Cincinnati chili just doesn't taste the same as in other states, needs some seasoning. Ordered an old fashioned, very weak. Expected a stronger drink as I normally get when I order it. Would definitely go back again!!
Inside and outside areas to eat, inside has old British pub feel. Ordered fish and fried pickle chips. Bf had a burger. I'm just going to say the fried pickle chips were probably the best I've ever had. Fish was delish and serving size will allow me to also have it for lunch tomorrow. read more

Amazing food, great service, fun location! The outdoor seating made for the perfect BBQ experience. (Indoor seating is also available). Slight negative was that all of the dress were sold out. read more
Decent food to grab if Main Street is packed, they have tvs but I would not necessarily consider a full sports bar. The service was friendly and efficient. Stopped in during happy hour and the deals were pretty good as well. read more

Honestly the food is much better than it needs to be, for all of the awesome outdoor seating it provides. You'd likely be happy just hanging out and sipping on your beverage of choice, but I promise you'll be even happier if you order something fried to eat. read more

I was going to call but after being charged for condiments that should come with your food I figured hey what's better than an honest review? Now I would say the wings and fish sandwich was good. But these nachos should have not been chose. Granted it is a bar, but how do you mess nachos up. Then they placed fired the chips. Well, let's just say it was fired in old grease. The cheese was so thick and not creamy taste like powder cheese. It was the worst nachos I've ever had. So since we're going to continue this honest review let's add the place did have an odor and not great seating arrangements as well. First timer stopped in last evening . Good food . Small local pub. Been around for years. Spinach Salad with a nice size of Cod.The Cod cooked perfectly crispy on the outside moist on the inside. We also had French Onion soup & Cod Sandwich . read more

Went here about 2pm the place was pretty busy. We still was able to get in to sit at bar and get drinks. The bartender was nice and supper fast getting our drinks and the menus. For a Monday it was a really packed place. The menu had a variety and was very reasonable. read more
I been here several times & never walked away disappointed. I had a Euro Pale Ale that was great & I tried the cod for 1st time. It was super crispy & very good.(I'm not the biggest fish lover) My wife had fish tacos and she liked them. Both of our beers were very good, Service was great. This is my first time in and man after being here and having a drink and dinner this likely one of the easiest 5 stars I've been able to plug in. I must preface that I had one negative but it's not really the establishments 'fault'. Me being a tall man (6'5") I found sitting at the bar to eat was awkward. The tall chairs are shallow and sit a few inches back from the bar. I had to lean in and prop myself up to eat. I didn't see anyone else have to do this. This for me was small dice overall and didn't take away from an otherwise excellent dining experience. First the bartender was great!! I am terrible with names but with any good bartender we exchanged a story or two and I learned she was soon to move on to a new position elsewhere. I tell you, I hope the other staff are as half as attentive and delightful. There will certainly be a void to fill once she is gone!! The food!!!! Boy was I ever surprised. Here's why!! I ordered the Cocks Cod. A dinner size portion of their fish which comes with two sides. I had the chips and got the spinach salad for my second side. Dude, the salad was off the hook. Much more than I expected with the fresh spinach, apples and crumble cheese. I also enjoyed the house made vinigarette it was served with. The fish. Dooooooood, it was good. I found it to be prepared with a more panko style breeding versus a more traditional pub type batter but it was still fantastic. I also tried it with horse radish as the menu said it was offered if asked for. I never knew before tonight that id like horse radish on cod!!! also last to mention I enjoyed the selection they offered or craft beers. I enjoyed the tangerine IPA brewed by The Stone Brewing Co. Overall a fantastic evening. I'm sad that this place isn't in my back yard. I am only in the area on business but am glad I got to come in!!! read more
