After journeying to downtown Covington in search of burgers we landed on this spot. Our hotel suggested somewhere else which we quickly exited stage left. This is like the neighborhood hang out. This is my first time in and man after being here and having a drink and dinner this likely one of the easiest 5 stars I've been able to plug in. I must preface that I had one negative but it's not really the establishments 'fault'. Me being a tall man (6'5") I found sitting at the bar to eat was awkward. I ordered the Cocks Cod. A dinner size portion of their fish which comes with two sides. I had the chips and got the spinach salad for my second side. Dude, the salad was off the hook. Much more than I expected with the fresh spinach, apples and crumble cheese. I also enjoyed the house made vinigarette it was served with. The fish. Dooooooood, it was good. I found it to be prepared with a more panko style breeding versus a more traditional pub type batter but it was still fantastic. I also tried it with horse radish as the menu said it was offered if asked for. I never knew before tonight that id like horse radish on cod!!! also last to mention I enjoyed the selection they offered or craft beers. I enjoyed the tangerine IPA brewed by The Stone Brewing Co.
