There was a special for every night of the week including a happy hour each night. The food was very good. Not an extensive menu but the wings, fried pickle, split pea soup & their specialty...sliders...all very good. We attended Cabin Fever, a 1 day bar crawl with music at the venues. It was a sunny day so being outdoors with music minded people was great. This bar was the main place to purchase or receive your day passes. There wasn't anybody at any of the venues tho checking wristbands, so I'm sure they lost some money by not being more attentive to the people coming and going. Menu has only about 6 items but they are all excellent ( I had 4). They only want 6 items so again, don't rate them low and complain that they don't have 17 types of steak, seafood & chicken. Well this place was a surprise and a delight. They home make most of their food. Everything we had was pretty good really. Service was good, place was clean. I want to come back for Margarita Monday, Tito's Tuesday or Wine Wednesday. Not sure what any of those specials mean- but sounds fun! -Mini beef burgers were excellent! Because the beer selection is great and the atmosphere just makes you want to order "just one more." When it comes to bar food, Ludlow Tavern is top-notch. The sliders (I ordered the turkey sliders; $8 combo) were delicious and the cheese stix ($6) were regretfully awesome. It's the kind of bar food that you can tell is fresh and that, at least most of the food isn't coming from a bag in the freezer. The fries were just okay, but lacked any memorable flavor. Ludlow Tavern's patio is fantastic. The only downside to the patio is that they allow smoking (only on the patio). On the plus side, the patio is dog-friendly, so there were mammals that I actually liked there. On a warm day, order a local brew ($5.50) or a raspberry margarita ($6), sit on the porch, pet a dog, and enjoy bliss. read more

We were pointed here by the owners of Bircus Brewing right down the street (which is an awesome place by the way). This was a great surprise, expecting just "bar food", we were really impressed with what we ordered. We had the sliders, which are nice, thick burgers- substituted fried pickles for french fries, which were excellent as well. We also had the chicken wings, which were nice and crisp and just the right amount of heat. There are about 5 beers on tap and lots of bottled options, too. Sitting at the bar, around 8p on a Saturday night, we got a nice dose of the locals (all friendly, quite colorful). We will be back next time we're at Bricus! read more

Tucked away in a small building along the river, you will find a very cozy and friendly little spot here! The bar tender was very friendly, and suggested that we try their sliders. You wouldn't think such a small place would have great food- but I was wrong! I ordered two sliders each with several different toppings as well as onion rings. Ludlow Tavern is a charming little place with great food, drinks, and excellent service. They do Margarita Mondays and ooh yeah, they make 'em awesome. I stopped by with a friend who lives nearby, after a Monday night book club, and I am pretty sure this will be our destination after every book club thereafter. It was a quiet night in the bar, so the bartender allowed my friend to use her playlist from her phone, which was a lot of fun and super nice of him. I highly recommend a stop at the Tavern if you're in the neighborhood. They seem to have a lot of fun with the "specials" on the menu and have super tasty fried pickles, which is one of my favorite bad-for-me appetizers of all time. They also have a standard menu of sliders and typical tavern fare. Also, clean bathrooms, which at the time I visited had some kind of pumpkin air freshener, which smelled, well, better than bathrooms often do. They also have a smoking patio if you're into that kind of thing. I am because I prefer bars that don't allow smoking indoors, so if you're also super allergic to cigarette smoke, this is a huge bonus. You won't leave the tavern smelling like the inside of an ashtray unless you're into it. Awesome place, and I look forward to future visits. read more

So traveling through the state we stumbled across this little gem. The sliders were great the service from Adam the bartender was superb and the onion rings and fries were some of the best ever!!! It was pretty quiet for a friday night so perfect for a eat and run. The beer selection was good for a small place in Ludlow... I mean where the heck is ludlow right ??
