Cocks Cantina was an absolute gem of a find. With its name, we couldn't pass it up. This place is newer, and right around the corner from our Resort (on the Marina) just a short walk down the street. The place is tiny, but it has a lot of attitude, flair & good cocktails. We came back a second night just because the ambiance, the cocktails & the service are all great. Great variety of spirits, as well. We had a couple of spicy Mezcalitas & one of their famous Jager Bombs. I could not bring myself to do their scorpions shot. The mixologists were both great, but I really enjoyed the authenticity, knowledge & engagement of the back-up bartender. He was not the main guy, but he was way more personable. I did not get his name, but he has a full beard, a little stockier, & a great smile. He was even there on his day off & he seemed happy to be there. I will definitely recommend this place. read more

Off the beaten path.. Located between Roasted and Chamuyo. Place seems to always be busy. They also have a DJ on the weekends. I came for the Scorpion Shot!! I don't know where I saw it originally But I had to come try it!! It didn't dissapoint! You choose your tequila, They can put the scorpion in any shot you want. Something you don't see in america... Right outside the gates of my hotel, ME Cabo, and easily the best dive bar on Medano beach! Bartenders are practically mixologists here, amazing cocktails every time - very well-balanced and just SO good! Staff was very attentive, kind, and pleasant, met the owner who was generous and gave my friends and I drinks and me a Scorpion tequila shot for my birthday. It gets loud, DJ needs some variation in his music, the bites are good and the kitchen closes at 10 - get the apps and sashimi. The patrons are a mixed bag from all over the world - it's a great hangout and place to meet people. Passed by this place on the way to dinner, and heard the good vibes coming from the roof top, so we had to swing by after dinner. The bottom floor is more of a regular bar, but then you go up to the 3rdfloor and chill house music is playing. First stopped by on a Friday evening around 11pm and it was packed. We stood around for a bit, and then were able to grab a table after only like 20 minutes. You can order at the bar, but they also have waiters coming around to take your order. The music was great! Came here with a local around 10pm on a Monday night for a beer and conversation on the top level (where they also have live music). The buildings in front of the cantina block the view of the ocean/beach but we were still able to see a little of the fireworks over the top of the blocking building's roof. My group of friends stumbled upon this place when all the other bars around the area were already closing on a Sunday night. We were lured by the live music and decided to check the place out. It's cozy and has 3 floors. 1st floor has a bar & limited stools, 2nd floor is a lounge area with comfy seats, and then there's the roof top. The roof top area has more tables and seatings, TV, and also a bar. The band was playing up here when we came. They played a lot of good covers and create a nice & chill ambience. The bartender was really nice! One of my friends spilled his shot, and they replaced it for free. We also met the owner, I believe his name is Andres. Came here after having dinner at Roasted next door (highly recommend going to Roasted if your looking for a dinner spot). Upon arrival we were told to go upstairs to the top floor. I was excited based on the reviews that they had the best drinks! I got the carajillo and it was super good! My cousin got a cucumber cocktail drink and also loved it! The only downside is at night they have a DJ but he only plays Techno House which I'm not a fan of, some of us were basically falling asleep lol and the DJ literally only had techno house and nothing else. This is a new place just down the street from our hotel ME so we decided to check it out. It's a pretty cool tri-level bar consisting of a bar with stools on the first floor, couches on the second floor and tables/stools on the third floor. The music is good (variety) and the ambiance just perfect; it's not loud and crazy so you can actually have a conversation, but just busy enough to keep the place movin. The drinks are good and well priced. Our group of eight had 10 margaritas, five beers and two mixed drinks and it only cost $110. There is three floors, including a rooftop section but we settled for the second floor as it was windy. The ambiance is super comfortable and casual as you sit on this colorful little couches. This place was amazing! I was recently in Cabo for a bachelorette party and this place was close to the awful hotel we stayed at (me cabo). Cocks Cantina saved the day! While being treated pretty awful at Me Cabo, this place was the complete opposite. This bar has the friendliest staff that makes you feel so welcome, even like family! The owner was awesome and made sure my group was comfortable and had everything we wanted. He even sat with us for a while, telling us fun stories. The vibe of the place is impeccable-- beautiful rooftop, amazing drinks, awesome service, great DJ who plays great music, and it seemed like a spot where the locals hung out which we all loved. We are all in our early 30's and most of the other clubs/bars were a little too "spring break-ish" for our likings..so this place was perfect! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Cabo and wants to have an unforgettable experience! We walked by this place from the beach looking for a place to eat. A very nice guy(Jack) waived us to stop by and introduced us to the owner Andres and bartender Saul . We were greeted like family. This became our nightly location where every night Saul would make my son his special shake. This is definitely a much when in Cabo! My son calls it Tio's bar.
