After jet skiing and taking a boat to see El Arco, we were all pretty beat. We decided to stop here for a short break & some drinks before taking an Uber back to our resort. We went to the bar and ordered bottled water, lemon-aid, Ginger ale, and some chips and guac. The cost was a little on the pricey side, but the drinks were well needed and the Guac was tasty. Service was friendly and super speedy. The seats and tables were comfortable. They also have restaurant seating on the beach as well. Normally, I would give 5 stars for this wonderful place, but one person ruined it for us on our visit this week. While the food and service makes Tobasco's one of our favorite places, Teamo, a manager, was very rude and discourteous. Several other patrons said that they typically leave when he comes in the afternoon. There was an issue that was resolved by our waiter, Luis, for whom we are grateful. But we are left with a proverbial bad taste in our mouths by the hostile way in which Teamo treated us. It's very unfortunate for such a wonderful place, with delicious food and drinks and a perfect location on the beautiful beach. Hopefully, the owner will recognize the negative effect that Teamo presents to loyal customers like my friends and me, who return yearly almost every day of our trip, and appreciate the rest of the staff and all that Tobasco's offers otherwise. read more

5 years since my last review of Tabasco's and it remains The place to go. We learned last time to only pay one way for the water shuttle from the dock, because it is too hard to identify the same boat for the return. Plus, after spending the day drinking 2 for 1 cocktails, we didn't want to fall in getting back on board. Same great cocktails, fresh tortilla chips, and guacamole served with a smile. An order of 3 steak tacos was plenty for 3 people. A massage tent is located a few steps away, which makes for a great relaxing combo of sipping cocktails at a table on the sand under shady umbrellas, watching the waves roll In, or taking a stroll on the long beach. Vendors aren't allowed on the restaurant's deck, but my friend bought some nice silver bracelets after walking a few steps away from the tables. read more

I have been a customer at Tabasco's for decades. I am mind blown with the experience I just had. My husband and I went to tabascos and ordered a pizza to go. While we waited we ordered drinks and sat down. We asked to order a side of fries to eat while we waited. We intended on eating the side of fries and drinking beer that we ordered from Tabascos while we waited for our pizza. We were told that they would not sell us a side of fries. Then finally they relented and sold us a side of fries but told us that we could not eat the fries that we just purchased from their restaurant. We had to leave with our side of fries and eat them somewhere else. WTF. We wanted to eat our side of fries and drink beers all of which we had ordered from their restaurant. Nope. We sold you a side of fries but it's to go. You can't eat it here. Sadly that is unacceptable and shameless. The restaurant was empty. And you refused a customer who wanted to buy food and drinks. I, and my friends, absolutely love this place. Today we had a very bad experience with the manager Tami. He asked us to move our chairs, which were where we were enjoying the sun. We were told if we didn't move are lounge chairs we should leave. So very rude when he talked. Our waiter was as sweet as can be, and helped us by moving the lounge one foot. We always spend a couple lunches here. Being able to walk up in your swim suit and sit at tables in the sand is a definite plus! The food isn't bad, sometimes it's surprisingly good for a beach bar, and the view is one of the best. Used to be a great deal too, but now they're about as expensive as going to town, at least for dinner, haven't had lunch here yet this trip. read more

While on vacation here in Cabo, You know I'm checking Yelp for the best places to visit. Some Elites have posted pretty good reviews for this place, so you know I had to check it out. You can sit on the deck or out on the sand under an umbrella. The ambiance is chill and you don't need to worry if you're in a bathing suit. It's all good. Greeted warmly and seated quickly! I requested flour chips which are not on the menu... They were happy to make them for me and they wear fantastic! I ordered a guacamole which came with Pico. I mix them together and devoured it all!! Loved Tabasco! Neighbors have been suggesting we give it a try. Unless friends are in town we typically stay away from Cabo, but not now. I liken it to a much less expensive, more chill vibe than The Office. While you need to see Rambo in action once in awhile, give Tabasco a try. LOCATION: Tabasco is located right on Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas. It's close to all the other restaurants and hotels, so it's convenient if you're in the area. SERVICE: Great service. Tabasco's, after which Tabasco Beach is named, is our favorite bar/restaurant/beach resort in Cabo. We visit every time we come down. Over the years, the beach front from the harbor has become a solid line of 4 story closed resort hotels. Tabasco's has the feel of how Cabo once was. The single story restaurant is built above the storm line. From there to the waves lapping on the white sand are tables and umbrellas set in the sand. The attentive, friendly staff (most have worked here for years- decades!) are quick with suggestions and willing to recommend options. The food is well prepared and presented. House drinks are 2 for 1, and very reasonably priced. Here's a hint, you can ask to have both drinks put in 1 glass...why share?!? Tabasco's is best reached by water taxi-$5/person from the harbor. Another hint- pay 1 way only! Best to buy your passage back from the beach (again $5/person) from the operators at the beach. That way, you don't have to cut your stay short if you end up enjoying Tabasco's as much as we do! read more

Stumbled upon this place while walking along the beach.  Happy Hour 2x1 from 7 am - 6 pm so we had to stop!!   You can choose to sit on the covered beach area or the deck.  After enjoying a couple of Modelos (2 for around $5.25), we ordered a pepperoni pizza to share.  Pizza was less than $15 and absolutely delicious!  Perfect for 2 people.   You could clearly tell it was cooked in a wood fired pizza oven.  They have the option of thin crust but the regular crust was amazing!  2x1 Mudslides (2 for around $7) - a nice, boozy treat to finish off our meal! read more

To be honest I wish I could give this 3.5 stars, but I would say this is a good spot for location and vibe. Service was a little shaky for us, but that seems like a unique experience compared to other visitors. It felt like they were maybe short staffed this particular day, but our waitress brought us the check not even realizing we hadn't gotten our food (so yes, it was taking a long time). Not wanting to be high maintenance Cabo-goers...we kept playing it cool... but once we actually did get our food, I was a bit underwhelmed. Watch out! This place will rip you off. They will give you the "Worst" exchange rate if you pay in US Dollars---like a 20% difference than banks. Our first day on vacation we head to Tabasco which is on the beach. They served us pretty quickly and I had a huge margarita right away which tasted really good. The guacamole and chips were pretty good. Lunch was served pretty fast. The prices were pretty good. If you're in a hurry and want to sit on the beach this is a good spot for lunch. I heard they are better known for breakfast. Edit: went back a few days later. Fish tacos were amazing. son loved his chicken wings. Added a star for food and funny soccer goal in the bathroom. ok. been coming here for years because of quality food and service. HOWEVER, new experience this time around. had to argue with Jenifer our waitress about the propina. she insisted that we give her 15% above the 10% service fee added (this is new in most venues all over Cabo). wouldn't give us a detailed receipt. left frustrated as we felt like this took away from our experience. husband insisted she changed the credit card charge to 10% not the additional 15%. last night in Cabo tonight. watched a table argue with Jenifer about the propina and they threatened to call their credit card company as they refused to pay the extra propina added to their bill. what the H? word of caution. pay cash and ask for detail receipt. sad to say that Tabasco's has slipped a few notches read more
